"Wake up, Uncle! Hurry up, you lazy bones!" whispered a sweet voice as I opened my eyes to find my niece and nephew on top of me. When I didn't wake up, they started jumping on my bed. To be honest it was fun to watch them.
"Come on, get up already, you lazy bean," my niece said in anger.
"Okay, okay, I'm up," I said as I got up.
"Goodness, get off him you two," someone said from behind me.
"It's okay, Noona. I don't mind," I said to her.
"Sure you don't," added my twin sister.
"Why aren't you in your dorm?" I asked her.
"What's with all the questions? Aren't you supposed to be happy I'm here on holiday?" she said.
"I'm sorry, but that's not what I meant," I said.
"Can we eat breakfast now? I'm so hungry!" my niece exclaimed, which made us decide to have breakfast.
I have been living with my brother ever since our parents passed away in an accident. My sister moved away after she received a scholarship to study in Canada. It has been my brother, his wife, and me. My niece, who is now four years old, was followed by her younger brother, who is two. I loved my brother very much. I still miss him. He passed away before he could meet my nephew, Asjad. As he took care of us when we were young, I decided to take care of his family. I have always been grateful to him. He loved us like his own children. Even though we weren't his biological siblings.
"Come down already, we are starving, egghead!" shouted my sister Soojin from downstairs.
"I don't take hours to get out of the bathroom unlike someone," I told Soojin.
"Are you trying to pick a fight with me?" she said.
"Absolutely!" I exclaimed to her with a grin. "You can count on me.
"Okay, stop it, you two," said our older sister, separating us. "What are you, three?"
"Unnie, he started it," Soojin said.
"Huh, don't act innocent. You were about to..." Just as I was about to complete my sentence, Noona interrupted me.
"You're lucky you got away," I whispered to Soojin as we ate breakfast.
"I could say the same thing about you," she whispered back.
"Can you look after the children for me, Woojin? I have an important meeting today," said Noona.
"I received a call from a client yesterday. They want to hire me to solve a case, so I won't be able to look after the kids. Sorry." I replied feeling a sense of guilt in my heart.
"No worries, dear. I was asking," she replied with a big smile on her face.
"Well," I said as I got up. "I gotta go. I don't want to make my client wait." Saying that, I walked toward the door.
"Wait, aren't you going to finish your breakfast?" Noona asked.
"I am already running late, so I'll just grab a kimbap on my way. Don't worry, noona," I said to her.
"Okay, if you say so," she replied with a frown.
I started running as fast as possible to reach the law firm on time. I boarded the bus that had just arrived and prayed I wouldn't lose my only client.
I was relieved to arrive on time at the law firm because I was worried that I might be late. However, when I got there, one of my colleagues informed me that a woman was waiting for me in a Black Yukon in the parking lot. I was surprised and curious to know who this woman was and what she wanted from me. Therefore, I went to the parking lot to look for the Black Yukon with the license plate number 8141. To my surprise, the car came up from behind me, and a man got out of it. He was approximately 190 cm tall, wearing a black tuxedo, a WA31 Bodyguard Micro-Bluetooth Headset, sunglasses, and a mask, which made it challenging to see his face. However, I could tell that he had green hair, which was quite unusual. He walked towards me, and I felt my knees shaking because he was a bodybuilder.
"Mr. Han Woojin, the madam is waiting for you," he said in a cold tone.
I gulped and walked towards the car. He opened the door and pushed me into the car.
"Hello Woojin," the person beside me said. "I am Lee Yeonwoo. You must have heard about me."
I was confused because I was sure I had talked to a man on the phone.
"You talked to my husband, Kang Seojun," she said with a smirk on her face.
"I understand," I replied.
"Shall we discuss work now?" she asked.
