A Fan And Her Bias

We were stuck in the murder case when we received a call from Chizuru. She wanted to discuss a similar case that might help us. Chizuru lived in an old apartment complex near Gangnam Street. The apartments were quite old, so you could hear what was happening in the other apartments.

"Come on, what is taking you so long, idiot?" Miri shouted.

"Ugh, I am coming," I said as I rushed out of my building.

"Miri, do you know where she lives?" I asked as I got into the car.

Miri confidently asserted, "Of course, I'm her cousin, so I know!"

We arrived at her house, just a few minutes' drive from mine. Her apartment was on the third floor, and we decided to take the stairs since the elevator wasn't working. The apartment was old, so old that the floors were making a creaking sound. We heard strange noises from upstairs as we approached her apartment like someone was moving something.

"So, what was her apartment number?" I asked Miri.

"103," she answered.

We both tried to ring the doorbell, but we knocked when it failed to elicit a response. She opened the door a few minutes later. Her apartment was clean, everything was in place, and neat.

"Come on in, guys," Chizuru said as we walked inside.

"So what was the case you said could help us?" Miri asked as she sat on the sofa.

"Well, I don't know if it will help, but it could give you clues," she said as she brought drinks for us.

"I see," I said.

"Come on, spit it out. What is this so-called case?" Miri said in a very annoyed tone.

"I will, but first I need to have something to drink," she said as she brought the glass closer to us.

"Thank you," I said as I gripped a glass of peach juice.

Chizuru asked curiously, "Do you also like peach juice?"

"Well, yeah, I guess you can say that," I said as I started drinking it.

"Finished, now tell me about this case," Miri said as she put the empty glass down.

"Well, if you insist, I will tell you," Chizuru said as she put the empty glasses away.

"It all started two months ago upstairs," She said.

She told us the story of an old lady who used to live in the apartment upstairs. The old lady did some shady stuff. Despite being old, she used to murder young children and eat their flesh for dinner. The police found out about the case when one of the kids in the apartment next door went missing. The whole floor was sealed off because of this.

"Well that was disturbing," said Miri.

"Told you, "Chizuru said.

"Well, what about this case can help us?? " I asked being kinda disappointed.

"Maybe you want to check the apartment upstairs," She said as she walked away from the living room.

"And why would we do that ??" Miri said.

"You guys were looking for Min-hyuk right," Chizuru said.

"Yea, we were loo..." II was reprimanded by Miri when she told me

"How do you know who we are looking for? Who told you?", Miri exclaimed with anger.

"Kang Ni-san asked me why are you getting so upset," Chizuru said.

It was strange that she was so angry; it was as if we shouldn't be discussing this with Chizuru. Her gaze showed hatred for Chizuru. I had noticed this before but ignored it.

"No-nothing," She said shuttering.

"So as I was saying I saw him on the elevator," Chizuru said confidently.

"Really," I said.

"How can you be so sure that it was him??" Miri asked.

"Because I saw his face, " Chizuru said.

"So we can just catch him again," I said.

"Come on Woojin you're smarter than this why would you believe a simp like her," Miri said.

"Simp??" I said.

"Yeah simp she is the biggest simp ever," Miri said.

"I am not," Chizuru said as she covered Miri's mouth.

"Okay," I said being confused. "Well, Miri there is no harm in checking whether what she said is true," I said.

"But ....." Miri said as she thought " I Guess you're right".

As we ascended to the fourth floor, we discovered the entire area was in disarray. The seals were broken, and it appeared as though someone had been living there for a month.

"That means Chizuru was right," I said as I looked at Miri.

"This doesn't prove anything " miri said being determined.

I haven't noticed this hatred towards someone in ages. This was a bigger hatred and something more of then any vengeance I have witnessed.

Chizuru had other plans she was very determined to show me what she had witnessed. The way I saw it chizuru had a weird personality she kept staring at me in a weird way making weird faces I couldn't tell wether she liked me or not.

After checking out the crime scene we decided to head down.

"How long has this place been sealed??" I asked chizuru.

"For about a month I guess" she answered.

"How do you know that??" Mirir asked her.

"Jaymin told me " chizuru said.

"Who is jaymin?" I asked.

"Her ex boyfriend" miri said mockingly.

"No he is not in fact I don't have a boyfriend" chisur said as put her hand around miri's face.

"Okay " I said .

Not that I cared wether she was single or not .

I just didn't want Woojin to find out about jaymin it would definitely hurt him. I remember so vividly how he died the memory is engraved in my head. This is my 4th life and I have been living in reset. It all comes to that morning as soon as woojin dies. Each time he dies the story line changes. I was just an ordinary highschooler who read a book for fun. The books name was Successors of the moon. I was immediately hooked to it. My favourite character was Han woojin the supporting character. I was really annoyed by the why the writer killed him. I wrote a comment on the website

"I could give him a better ending" I wrote those words in anger. Only to wake up in that novel the other day. The cycle repeated continuesly for four years . I was unable to save him each time his story changed and the plot remained unchanged. Will I be able to save him this time??
