Chapter 16

I'm a dimly lit, elegant study lined with bookshelves and a crackling fire place, Old man Park quietly sat on an antique old chair, immensely staring at the burning flame.

'Old man, it's time to take your drugs'.

He heard the elegant voice of his butler, who is also his best friend, someone he could rely on, with issues which he seemed burdensome.

He turned around with a small smile on his lips.

'Here you go..' The butler said and handed him the medicine.

The old man nodded and took the medicine from him and swallowed it.

'Are you alright?'.

Old man park sighed and shook his head. He knew his worry could not bypass the eyes of butler Oh.

The old man sighed, his expression troubled.

'I'm just worry about him,you know'.

Butler Oh raised his brows in question of who the old man was talking about.

The old man noticed his confusion from the silence and leaned back in his chair.

'Yoonjin....he's always so focused on his work,he never really takes the time to just enjoy life and now he said he has not just a girlfriend but a wife..' The old man sighed and continued.

'Why do I feel like he's bringing in some random girl that he'd pay to be his pretend girlfriend'.

Butler Oh nodded as he understood the old man concerns and worries towards Yoonjin.

He couldn't blame the old man neither could he blame Yoonjin.

'I understand your concern Jaegyeong, do you want me to investigate on it?'. He suggested but the old man waved his hand.

'There's no need for that, I shouldn't be prying on their private lives'. He said but there was still a hint of concern on his face as he sighs deeply and stood up from the chair.

'I should go to bed now'. He said.

Butler Oh nodded in agreement and sent the maids to prepare the bed for the old man.

In a dimly lit room, Nari and Elvis lay tangled together, their body intertwined.

Nari was curled up against his chest, her head resting on his shoulder. She could feel steady beat of his heart again her cheek, causing a smile forming on her lips as she snuggled closer to him.

His fingers idly through her long soft hair hair, making her feel sleepy.

Elvis had apologized, for hurting Nari and they were in good terms.

'The family dinner is tomorrow, you know that right?'. He murmured as he looked at her.

Nari lifted her head and nodded.

She had been waiting for him to say something about the dinner, and he finally did.

'But I'm scared…' She said in a low soft voice as she looks down.

Elvis brows raised slightly at her sudden behavior.

'Why?'. He worriedly.

'I mean, what if he doesn't like me, what if your family doesn't like me…' She asked.

Elvis chuckled and pulled her closer as he gave her a short kiss on her lips.

'Trust me grandfather is the least judgmental person I know…' he assured her.

'And for the rest of the family, who cares, as long as you'll be there with me, they have no choice'. He kissed her one more time.

Nari smiled at his words and she suddenly felt relaxed.

'Thanks babe..' she said with a small smile tugging at the corner of her lips.

She snuggled deeper into his embrace and raised her head up to look at him.

'I love you babe'. She whispered and pulled his head for a kiss.

Elvis responded to her kiss and pulled her closer, Nari climbed on top on him without breaking from the kiss as her hand ran through his bare chest.

Elvis suddenly stopped and looked playfully at her.

'Don't tell me you want to go for another round Nari'. He asked as he stared at the naked lady on top of him.

Her cheeks turned red as she looked seductively at him and bit her lips.

'…. I guess I do want you'. She said but before she could even process anything, he lips were claimed by Elvis as he flips her, whereby she was under him.
