The Battle Rage

The battle raged, many fell, and many continued to fight in the hope of emerging victorious.

Rakahn cleared a path among the monsters allowing several groups of mages to position themselves and conjure up a large wall of earth, encircling the entire clearing to prevent them from fleeing.

"Fire mages, conjure a greater spell!" He barked, "Aim for the most concentrated area!"

A few seconds later, a sphere of fire was conjured above them, it was constantly fed with fire magic and sometimes wind magic, the sphere grew more and more in size, until it became quite difficult to maintain even for two groups of mages.

Rakahn raised his hand in the air so that they would wait for his signal to release him, he scanned the battlefield for a moment;

Several of his soldiers were fighting these abominations in their sectors, and two of the other clan leaders who should not have been inside the great wall were fighting alongside the officers, all was well, even if they released a spell of this magnitude, the repercussions could not be more serious.

That was how Rakahn had thought.

And he was absolutely right.

By lowering his hand, he gave the signal to cast the spell. The large sphere of more than six meters in diameter had flown towards the sky, crossing the battlefield in a specific direction.

She was heading towards her target, it was the place where there were more monsters.

At the moment when the projectile reached its target, a large detonation resounded in the forest, the explosion formed a large champion of fire several meters quickly rising into the sky, the explosion was such that it left a crater in the ground.

"Wow, Dahlia was right! The elf clan could really be that terrifying!" thought Rakahn, each time remaining stunned by the combined spells of the elven mages.

"And they haven't even summoned their spirits yet?" What surprise do you have in store for us, my dear long ears?"

Even Rakahn who was in charge of leading the operation was amazed at the force they could exert now thanks to one person.

"Who would have believed it ?"

Even though it all seemed hard to swallow, Rakahn knew it was all real or at least – it was his reality now –

Several hundred creatures classified as "monsters" were gone in the explosion, and there weren't even many left.

Previously it was a threatening number, the three clans had to sacrifice theirs to hold on until now, but since the arrival of the legion, the scales had not only tipped in their favor and had been literally broken.

These creatures; goblins, lizardmen and kobolds and many others, these creatures considered as the gluttons of the forest, were massacred without being able to respond, taken by surprise they had no choice but to flee.

Flee ? But to go where?, they were surrounded by a large earth wall several meters high, even when trying to climb it they were blocked by the archers who stood above the wall.

They were clearly determined to exterminate every last one of them.

Rakahn, who looked at his deed, was not convinced of the turn the battlefield was taking.

"It's so quiet!" he declared, furrowing his eyebrows.

Obviously what was happening on the battlefield was too calm, for him at least. More than five thousand creatures classified as constant monsters are present or at least were present on the battlefield and there was not the presence of a single variant, it was simply impossible.

Rakahn let his eyes cross the "slaughterhouse" while letting his thoughts carry him, he looked for a cause for this lack of command in the enemy camp.

Usually these creatures don't have good interracial relationships, so for an insane number of rebel creatures to band together to attack, then they would have to be led by a force that is impossible for them to counter.

By the time Rakahn realized they were in danger, it was a second too late.

A loud noise echoed in the northern part of the battlefield, - the great wall had just been breached - thus the wall shook causing several archers who were standing on the wall to fall, of course this fall was not fatal to them but they will come out with some more or less injuries.

Rakahn had dropped onto a monster as it fell, putting all his strength into it, he took the creature's miserable life.

[You killed a constant monster; Azure Goblin.]

[You have received a Stone of Constant Essence.]

Rakahn pretended to ignore the voice of the announcement. The fact of having killed or received did not interest him.

He drew his two swords from his back and uttered a war cry.

A moment later Dahlia, renald and even Yadha responded in a cacophony of war cries and they abandoned their sectors to join him in front of the large breach made in the wall.

"There are more than fifty creatures classified as variant monsters, could we really face them?" Renald asked suddenly, staring at these creatures who were destroying the wall with their clubs or their maces.

"They're not invincible, if we couldn't take care of these minions, then how would you expect us to attack the demons that come after?" Dahlia projected nervously, even though she had convinced herself that she could. to do, she was terribly afraid.

"You're right, Officer Dahlia, let's consider these variants our warm-up!" Yadha commented as he got into position.

Rakahn had followed the discussion of his comrades, he had felt strong to be surrounded by warriors of their caliber.

"So let's go, let's warm up," he shouted as he rushed onto the battlefield.
