At The Fortress

With a single glance, Drevan could grasp the immensity and meticulous organization of this fortress city. The interior was incredibly vast, extending far beyond anything he had imagined. Hundreds, if not thousands, of buildings rose across this conquered territory. It was a sight that starkly contrasted with the caves and modest villages he was accustomed to.

Most of the buildings were made of wood, but Drevan noticed that some stone structures were under construction. Scaffolding surrounded these unfinished edifices, and workers bustled to bring them to completion. The air carried the scent of sawdust and rock dust. The city was perfectly laid out, its paved paths and open squares evidence of a carefully thought-out urban design. Everything seemed new, as though every stone and plank had been recently placed.
