Chapter 63

Kyunghee stood in front of the outdated business sign that read "Bae's Billiards".

Life was funny sometimes. In the first half of her life, she had done everything she could to run away from that man's control. And when the successful day came, Kyunghee vowed she would never return to the prison that had locked up her teenage years; the prison that had stolen the youth she could never recapture.

Youth was a transient time, and when it was gone, it was gone forever.

Yet here she was, returning years later to the shark's cave through her own willingness. Just like a boomerang, she was back to where she began. Life was a full circle, wasn't it? In order to reach the ending, a person had to go back to the beginning, back to where everything started—where the nightmares, heartaches, regrets and nostalgia were waiting sadistically with open arms. Taking in a deep breath, Kyunghee reached for the door handle and pulled it.
