Capturing the Hulk

After considering that the Hulk wouldn't harm Betty and might even protect her in dangerous situations, the task seemed simple, so Daisy nodded in agreement.

On the other side, Dr. Bruce Banner had no idea that his father-in-law was planning something against him! Like the original timeline, the battle at the University of Virginia didn't happen due to Daisy's intervention. He was enjoying the afternoon sun, spending a leisurely afternoon with Betty Ross.

Of course, at this stage, Dr. Banner couldn't afford any emotional fluctuations. The two of them had a harmonious relationship, not even touching hands as they spent the afternoon discussing science and reminiscing about the past.

Betty forgot she had a boyfriend waiting at home, and Banner forgot that he was in trouble.

After dinner, as they walked outside in the light rain, they tentatively held hands and found no major emotional reaction. So, could they take it a step further? Both of them were eager for this type of scientific exploration. They continued walking towards the hotel, hand in hand...

Walking with a loved one was refreshing, but disruptors were always lurking.

A crisp, sweet female voice sounded not far from them, filled with surprise and admiration. "Dr. Betty? I've read your paper on improving the resolution of semiconductor detectors for measuring radiation..."

Daisy perfectly portrayed the image of an admiring female student who loved and admired science. Being an expert in quantum physics herself, asking a few non-threatening questions was effortless for her.

Encountering a woman discussing radiation on the main road was an experience Betty hadn't experienced before. She hesitated for a moment before exchanging a few words with Daisy.

Looking at the beautiful Betty, Daisy couldn't help but marvel at how long her face was! She probably needed specially made-face masks. Plus, the woman looked a lot taller than Daisy; counting the heels, she stood nearly six feet tall.

Despite her long face and tall stature, which weren't necessarily flaws, Miss Betty wasn't bad looking.

In the dim light, her fair skin gleamed, and her eyes sparkled like sapphires.

Daisy grabbed her hand suddenly. "I have a question..."

Before Betty could even respond, Daisy grabbed her hand and ran off.

Huh? Dr. Bruce Banner, who had been pretending to be invisible on the sidelines but was itching to join their scientific discussion, was left dumbfounded. What was happening? Were they going to discuss the effects of radiation on the human body while running?

Before he could figure out the logical connection, Daisy had already run more than two hundred meters away. Even with restrained speed and carrying a grown woman, her movements were swift. Dr. Banner watched as she disappeared into the roadside greenery, and then she was gone.

Kidnapping! Dr. Banner didn't expect his father-in-law to be up to something. The only answer he could think of was kidnapping.

The sight of such blatant crime made Dr. Banner feel like he was about to explode with rage. All his efforts to maintain calm went out the window. His anger surged like a tide, and his blood, mixed with fury, underwent a qualitative change. Flowing through his heart, it drove his internal organs like a motor, thumping incessantly.

His body underwent a complete restructuring, with cells, bones, and muscles undergoing earth-shattering transformations.

He was in the process of transforming from a human into another creature, undergoing a metamorphosis from the inside out. His arms became muscular, his fingers now as thick as an ordinary person's forearm. His waist and legs swelled at an exaggerated rate. In less than two seconds, the thin scholar had turned into a monster over two meters tall and weighing five hundred kilograms.

"Roar!" He shouted towards the greenery. The Hulk didn't have any special sound-based abilities, but relying on his immense, unlimited strength, he managed to create a shockwave effect with his voice. Trees around them snapped, revealing Daisy running away.

"Who are you? Let me go!" Miss Betty couldn't catch up to Daisy's speed or resist her strength. Daisy's first move produced two shockwaves, shattering her high heels. With powerful dragging, Miss Betty had no chance to resist.

However, the power of love compelled her to continue trying to save herself.

Seeing the shockwaves behind her, Daisy smiled faintly and increased her speed by another twenty percent.

At this moment, Dr. Bruce Banner had transformed into the Hulk. His immense strength and violent emotions made him almost completely uncontrollable. His bloodthirsty gaze turned towards Daisy and Betty, who were running away. The Hulk bent his legs, ready to leap after them.

"Boom, boom, boom," a series of sounds rang out as three multipurpose vehicles surrounded him.

The Hulk recognized these soldiers wearing camouflage helmets. In the somewhat simplistic personality of the Hulk, these guys were here to capture him again.

The next moment, he was expecting various missiles to come at him again.

Unfortunately, he was mistaken this time.

The soldiers on the three vehicles were somewhat nervous as they activated the emotion controllers and simultaneously pressed the switch.

A dazzling array of colors appeared before the Hulk.

The Hulk didn't understand color coordination or how to adjust these colors to reduce excitement and deactivate his transformation. It required extremely advanced knowledge and complex calculations. Amidst the array of colors, he simply thought, 'Hey, this looks pretty!'

His anger began to subside unconsciously. Although the transformation as the Hulk was slow to recede, his subconscious mind as the Hulk began to reject it. However, his brain received signals from the outside world and began to work automatically.

The soldiers on the three multipurpose vehicles were on edge as they performed this task. Now that they saw it was working, they secretly rejoiced at having saved their lives and cursed the previous commanders. They were all mentally retarded! Hundreds of U.S. soldiers died for a problem that could have been solved with a broken lamp!

Inside the command vehicle, General Ross watched this scene with an expression of disbelief. Was it really that simple? It was indeed that simple!

Blonsky had been itching for a showdown with the Hulk, but it turned out he didn't need to step in at all.

Dr. Bruce Banner was relieved of his Hulk transformation by the emotion controllers. At this moment, wearing an oversized pair of shorts, he looked confused.

Several soldiers, fearing the Hulk but not Bruce Banner, approached with one tranquilizer needle each. Then, fearing it might not be enough, they gave Dr. Banner two more shots. This dosage could knock out an elephant. They secured him with four or five steel handcuffs and leg shackles, barely feeling relieved.

Watching the soldiers bring the unconscious Bruce Banner in front of him, General Ross felt unreal. Was it over?

"Dad! Let him go, I beg you to let him go!" Daisy led Betty around in a big circle. Seeing General Ross, Betty instantly understood the cause and effect, crying like a tearful person and clinging to the old man.

"Let Banner go, please. He's not a bad person..." Under the drizzle, with leaves rustling, accompanied by Betty's hoarse cries, for a moment, Daisy felt like a villain.
