Got the Goods, Let's Go

No wonder there are so many homeless people in Country R. Even if they come to the base, there's nothing to eat, and they still have to pay. It's worse than being homeless. From this warehouse, you can see that ninety percent of the supplies in Country R are controlled by one percent of the people in the base. Fortunately, the goods in the warehouse are neatly arranged on the iron shelves, so Alice just needs to put the shelves into her space. Fifteen minutes later, Alice finally took everything away. She didn't linger, quietly walked out, closed the door, and left quickly.Arriving at the main building, she ran into Hurley.

"We've got the goods, let's go."

Just as the two were about to leave, they turned to see the hostess approaching from a distance. Her gaze fell on Hurley, and her brows furrowed. "Why are you downstairs? Where's Dorothy?"

"Miss Dorothy fell asleep," Hurley replied calmly.

The hostess frowned slightly, then waved them off after a moment. "I see. Remember, whatever Dorothy asks you to do, you must not refuse, nor mistreat her."

Hurley exclaimed nervously, "How could I mistreat the young lady?"

The hostess walked away, completely ignoring Alice throughout.

"Let's get out of here," Hurley said, grabbing Alice and hurrying away.

Not long after they left, the hostess felt increasingly uneasy. She knew her daughter well. Normally, once someone becomes her 'new favorite', they wouldn't be let go overnight. With this in mind, she quickly went upstairs to knock on Dorothy's door. After waiting for a long time with no response, the hostess ordered someone to forcefully break in. Upon seeing Dorothy lying on the ground, she screamed in horror.

Meanwhile, Alice and Hurley had arrived at the seaside. They had already contacted Ignatius in advance using a satellite phone. Before long, a boat approached from nearby. After boarding the boat, Ignatius carefully examined them, relieved to see that they were both fine and unharmed.

"How did it go? Didn't run into any trouble?" Ignatius asked.

Alice, feeling mischievous, joked, "Nope, but Hurley caught the eye of a wealthy heiress."

"What?" Ignatius was taken aback by this remark, then immediately became nervous. He pulled Hurley aside and asked in a low voice, "You didn't do anything to upset Alice, did you?"

Hurley was speechless for a moment, then replied, "She was just kidding. You took it seriously?"He handed the documents to Ignatius. "Stolen from the office of a manager in a base in Country R. Take a look, it might be useful."

Ignatius, instantly forgetting everything else, took the documents and flipped through several pages, his expression growing increasingly grave. The audacity of the people from Country R was staggering; not only did they want to occupy Base Y, but they also aimed to encroach upon the entire country. Base Y was the gateway for Country R; they had to defend it.

By the time they returned to the base, it was already dark. Alice suddenly remembered she needed to get the range hood.

"We still have time to get it now," Hurley said with a smile.

Arriving at Ignatius's house, they found Arnold and Alexander standing outside.

"Brother, why are you here?" Arnold glared at Hurley but spoke more gently to Alice. "It's dark, and you haven't returned yet. We were worried and came to find you."

"Little sister, where did Hurley take you?" Alexander also looked displeased.

Their little sister was usually so obedient, always informing them in advance wherever she went. She must have been taken elsewhere by Hurley. They wondered if she had been mistreated.

Seeing their wary expressions, Alice couldn't help but laugh. "Big brothers, you've misunderstood Hurley. We found out there were pirates scouting for intelligence, so we followed them. Later, we encountered a Base Commander on patrol, and we happened to visit Country R, where we infiltrated the home of a manager, obtaining a lot of intelligence and supplies. In short, we returned with a full load."

The brothers listened, dumbfounded. "Such scenes only happen in novels, don't they?"

"Let's grab the range hood and go. Mom and Dad must be worried," Alice glanced at the time; it was already 7:30 in the evening.

The group dared not delay any further and quickly rushed to the office building. Blanche's heart only relaxed when she saw them return.Hurley went to help them install the range hood, and the Allen brothers also pitched in.

Alice had to explain once again, "Don't worry, we're all fine, no need to be concerned."

"That's too dangerous! You have such audacity. You mustn't do it again next time," Blanche scolded sternly.

"Okay, I understand," Alice obediently agreed, although inwardly she had no intention of changing.

To appease her mother, Alice brought out many delicious foods from her space. "These are all from Country R, almost all of them are their specialties. Try them; they're delicious."

Blanche, seeing Alice offering these treasures, couldn't stay angry anymore. "Alright, I'm not a child. You don't need to appease me. Go and see if they've installed the range hood and prepare dinner. Oh, and Hurley has worked hard, so let him stay for dinner."

Alice smiled and agreed.

The kitchen was in another room, neatly arranged.

"Brother, is it installed?" Alice asked softly as she walked in.

"Yes," Alexander replied, having cleaned his hands. "I'll cook and see how well it works. If it's still too smoky, we'll have to cook lighter dishes in the future."

Just as Hurley was about to leave, Alice stopped him. "Don't leave yet. My mom wants you to stay for dinner."

After hesitating for a moment, Hurley decided to stay. It happened that the food he had in his space was running out, and his cooking wasn't good, while Alexander's skills were quite impressive.

Seeing as the range hood was brought by Hurley, Alexander didn't object and even asked him what dishes he wanted for dinner.

While Alexander was cooking, Alice went outside to check and made sure there were no smells emanating from the kitchen.

From now on, they wouldn't have to worry about their family eating meat anymore.

Meanwhile, unaware of the tranquility here, Country R was in turmoil.Dorothy was tied up. The loss of the documents wasn't the most important thing; what they couldn't accept was that an entire warehouse full of supplies had disappeared.

"Who took them? Come forward!" the master of the house questioned angrily, his face dark with fury.

Before him, a row of people knelt, shoulders hunched, heads bowed low, too scared to even breathe audibly.

"You two, how were you guarding the warehouse?" the man stormed forward, kicking over the two guards.

"The woman was new here. She said she was bringing us food, and we believed her. After we ate, we started feeling drowsy and ended up falling asleep unintentionally. But it's impossible for the things in the warehouse to disappear silently. There must be something fishy going on," the two men trembled in fear.

This incident was too eerie; even if they wanted to explain, they didn't know where to begin.

Dorothy was in a state of panic, as she was the one who had disclosed the password.
