A few minutes before Tokajin sent Inuyasha and Asahiko flying down, the rest of the group left below had also devised a way to climb towards the top.
*Boom*
An explosion can be heard from the top of the mountain, while strange yellow flowers fall down and float around the group climbing up. How is the group climbing up? Simple, it all comes down to Shippo and one of his magical transformations.
"Come on, Shippo, we're almost there!"
Sitting atop the round, pink, very balloon-like body that Shippo has transformed into, both Kagome and Miroku can be seen.
"Kagome... Almost gone."
Shippo's pink, round, floating form seems to be sweating profusely as he wobbles more and more in the air.
"You can do it, Shippo. Let it be seen that your transactions are superior to Asahiko's."
"Don't listen to him, Shippo. As soon as you can't let me know, and us."
"I can't anymore!"
Kagome's words don't end when the Shippo form begins to vibrate, causing the two passengers' faces to fill with fear. It's not their fault, they are a few feet above the ground.
Luckily Miroku had a quick thought, so he takes Kagome in his arms and jumps off Shippo towards an open area of the mountain. Noticing that there is no one on him anymore, Shippo undoes the transformation and jumps over there as well.
There were a few strange noises, as if they were going through branches and leaves, though that all ends when the three of them crash into some stone stairs.
"Yessss, that hurt..."
"I'm sorry... Kagome. I thought I was going to be able to last longer."
"Easy Shippo, it was our fault for wanting to rush upstairs, are you alright Miss Kagome?"
Nodding her head towards Miroku, Kagome straightens her clothes and begins to reassure Shippo, before turning to see where the stone stairs lead.
"Are we going up?"
"It looks like the right way up to the top, besides it's the only one we have."
Picking up his staff from the ground, Miroku answers Shippo and shares a look with Kagome.
"Let's do it, we have to go help Inuyasha and Asahiko."
"Though I don't think those two are going to need our help, even if Inuyasha turns human there's Asahiko."
"Certainly, Shippo. Asahiko may annoy him a bit, but he's pretty reliable in these things."
Already calmer from not having to worry too much about Inuyasha's safety, the group of three slowly advance up the stairs.
It was about five minutes of walking until they finally came to a strange place, strange perhaps not the best way to describe it, but rather civilized for being in the middle of the mountains.
"Clearly someone or something lives in here."
"Hey, look at this right here!"
Speaking loudly and clearly surprised, Shippo draws Kagome and Miroku's attention to a huge model of a village.
"Those are humans?"
"How could there be humans that small?"
"Maybe some kind of strange magic, Miroku?"
As they debated amongst themselves, Kagome's pocket seems to start glowing shades of pink, drawing the attention of everyone present.
"The shards!"
"The model is getting bigger!"
"No, Shippo, we're getting smaller!"
With the three of them shouting about different subjects, they are quickly swallowed up by the model and all that is left on the floor is a glass jar with about five pink shards in it.
If there is something to remark about those shards, that something would be that three are a light pink, almost shiny, while the other two have a more natural tone.
The three bright ones are clearly Asahiko's, while the two of a darker shade are Kagome's, well the ones they've managed to gather back together.
"They escaped, but... That's... Are they pearl fragments?"
Entering the room from the other side of it, Tokaijin with his pudgy body moves in a distinctly annoyed manner around the place, until he notices something glinting on the floor.
Picking up the glass bottle, a grin full of monstrous teeth forms on his face, before with a simple squeeze he shatters it.
"Lucky me, yes with just one shard I could withstand the cut of that sword... With all of these I'll have a body of steel!"
Opening his moderately damaged coat, Tokaijin reveals a fragment in his belly and without waiting any longer inserts the other five right there.
...Christopher/Asahiko pov…
"Have you felt it, Inuyasha? That sudden leap of power... So much so that even I have felt it."
Pausing my footsteps that have led us nowhere for this hour, I fix my eyes on the mountain top, before looking up at Inuyasha.
He was no longer in his normal semi-human form, but now fully human. His white hair changed to a black colored one, while his amber colored eyes to black ones.
"Tsk, you should know that I'm no better than an average human now, but the only thing that can create a sudden spike in energy."
"The shards!"
"Kagome!"
Watching as Inuyasha's eyes dilate and he quickly runs towards the nearest wall, I make one of my tails appear and grab him by the waist, stopping any attempt to climb.
"Let me go, Asahiko! Kagome is in danger!"
"God, it's not like I'm going to stop you, they're my friends too and I'm clearly going to help them."
"Asahiko..."
"Diu, don't get sentimental as if you were human. Oh, right, you're human now."
Laughing at Inuyasha who tries to escape from my tail's grip to fight, I finally get serious and start climbing at full speed. I wasn't playing around anymore, it was time to teach that fatty who not to mess with.
Using my superior physical capabilities, no more tails, he made it to the top in a few seconds and looked around. Up here was a small complex of scattered buildings, though nothing too fancy.
"I'll get their attention, meanwhile you go find them."
"Tsk, okay, let's do it."
"Hahaha, ¿when you're a human are you more obedient or is it just because of Kagome? Stop, stop, put down that sword I'm going to start."
Pinching Steel Fang with my fingers since he's untransformed, I pulled the fan from one of my sleeves and waved it towards a nearby building while letting out a whisper.
"Moon Form:Crescent."
This time I didn't stop the destructive power and its fire capabilities, so in a few moments the area is illuminated by some orange hues, making it very clear that there is a fire.
"Here it comes, Inuyasha."
"What did you do to me, what is this that I can feel around?"
"Just a small illusion, but more than enough to go unnoticed by that fatty."
Hiding the slight surprise I felt at hearing Inuyasha's words, since even in human form he could sense my movements, he lifted his face and looked up at the newcomer.
"Wow, what did you take to grow this big this fast, can you pass me the trick?"
"Where is your friend, never mind, I'll take care of you first."
"Hahaha, so much confidence, let's see if you can give him courage!". Moon Form:Crescent Gibbous"
Giving two blows with the fan in front of my face, the flames quickly surround it and shoot out in an X shape towards the fatty. Surprisingly he doesn't try to dodge, but instead reaches forward and squeezes the flames with his completely bare hand.
*¡Boom!*
A fireball spread into the air from the explosion, but that only made me get more serious. That attack wasn't meant to explode, but its main function was to cut into his flesh.
"Now you'll see!"
Swatting away the smoke with a swipe, the new chubby guy is left out in the open to admire. His body was no longer flesh but rock, while his lips reached his ears and his green hair is now a long tousled mane.
Perhaps already satisfied with the moment he gave me to admire his new form, Tokajin sinks his feet into the ground easily and advances towards me like a wrecking ball.
The pressure was enormous, literally this thing must easily weigh about 300 pounds and now it's coming at full speed towards where I am. Of course I wasn't going to run or dodge, why? Because I can and I want to.
"This is impossible, ¡how can you stop my perfect form!"
"Can't you see? Now... Get over there!"
I don't understand why so much surprise for stopping him with one hand, I may not be as strong as Sesshōmaru who is a direct attacker, but I'm still a pure demon, you know.
Mocking him in my gut, though maybe maybe a little bit of me too... Damn, I'm a magical attacker and here I am fighting this mass of muscle head on.
"I'm going to take you down!"
"You know that using drugs in a competition is forbidden, right? Well, do what you want!"
Withdrawing my little finger from inside my ear, I give it a puff and then stare at its new shape. More than new it would be an optimized form, as he seems to have switched from defense mode(Chubby) to attack mode(Tall athletic body).
Clearly annoyed by my mockery and indifference, Tokajin begins to drink all the liquid from his canteen to the point that it leaks out of his mouth, but he still continues to drink. There was little surprise when his energy spiked a second time, though his change to a more bestial one did interest me.
"I will devour you whole!"
Running on all fours like an animal and keeping his mouth open beyond humanly possible, Tokajin crushes the ground under his weight, though his speed is not slow at all.
"If you want it, there you go~"
Closing the fan in my hand and bringing it towards the night sky, I begin to gather a good amount of flames, before giving them an elongated, pointed shape.
*Boom* *Boom* *Boom* *Boom*
Even though I heard the explosion resulting from the attack, there was no fire or light... As if everything had been swallowed. Is that why it was going with its mouth open, can it now devour energy.
"What is this, show yourself a coward!"
Watching him shatter the illusion in front of him piece by piece, I remained silent and easily walked to his sword. Already behind his muscular back and covered by his green hair, he rested my index finger right where his heart is and pierced it with a thin beam of extreme heat.
"You, you, you..."
"Shhh, just go to."
It was stupid of me to let my guard down before he fell, but I have pierced his heart, literally a thin bolt of color is piercing his heart right now.
Well actually it's not actually piercing it anymore, the hard hit he just gave me right in the head has sent me flying, I even think it knocked a tooth out... My lollipop... My damn beaming smile!.
"I'm going to kill you... Hahaha, no, no, no... That would be an understatement. I'm going to chop you into pieces and I'm going to feed them to that tree."
Taking Cloudy Fang from his sheath, for a few moments I feel a slight rejection, though I care little about that now. He knocked out a tooth, shattered my perfect smile.
[Kill, kill, kill, kill them all!]
"Silence you idiot, you think I don't know what to do!"
Sending to silence Clouded Fang who seems to have a louder and clearer voice now, I had even thought that my mental defense was more than enough to not hear it anymore, I hit the ground and appeared in front of the static Takajin.
He is not static just because, but because at this moment I am going all out. I'm basically releasing so much energy that he's being crushed by it, leaving him static in place and open to any attack.
"First that playful arm."
"AHHHGGG!"
"Shh, now the kick is coming~"
Hitting him with a spinning kick right on the right side, I watch as the little Takajin flies freely and even takes a few spins in the air. I might be enjoying it too much, but it's well deserved... My smile.
"I've found them, now."
"Inuyasha, I don't think it's time to intervene."
Knife in knife out guts~, knife in knife out troops~.
"Miroku's kind of right, he does look pretty angry, don't you think so, Kagome?"
"I see him happy, Shippo. I can even see his smile... Is he missing a tooth?"
*¡Booooom!*
Mechanically turning his head from the huge crater in which I just buried Takajin, he slowly looked at the uneven group that had gathered at the side of the buildings. There were some villagers, a samurai and the three idiots who were talking in the background.
"There's something weird about my smile~"
"Of course, Hagve."
"Of course not, Asahiko. It's still as bright as sunlight."
"Have some decency, Miroku. Haha just kidding, I've never seen such a bright smile."
Accepting the insincere praise from Miroku and Inuyasha, I give a death glare to the Shippo who tried to be too clever and continue to punch Takajin. Ahh, what a good night.
