Silver and bright follows the moon, managing to bring a certain amount of warmth to the hearts of the travelers who observe it.
Beneath such pale beauty lies the remains of a village, the odd thing is that the structures are sound, though overrun with large amounts of white threads.
"Fiu~cof, cof... I'm still horrible at this whistling thing."
Coughing to hide her emerging embarrassment, Asahiko tousles her hair tightly and positions herself on a tree branch just outside of town.
"Really sad, but considering you've tried, why don't I give you a little run down of history?"
Floating above the center of the remains of the village, Kagura holds onto the feather she uses as a means of transportation and closes her fan.
This time her actions convey an obvious amount of confidence, it's very clear that having arrived here has given her some peace of mind.
"Umm... Well, why not. Also while we're at it, why don't you tell me a bit about that pearl?"
"It's simply a toy that Naraku picked up from a demi-human, it's really not much use and the imperfections are too many to take seriously."
Wiping away any interest Asahiko might have in that 'Fake Pearl', Kagura raises her hand towards the sky and opening her palm you can see that pearl.
The shikon pearl begins to glow in dark tones on Kagura's palm, though in the midst of that dark glow is a piece that glows much brighter than the rest of the pearl.
"No, no, no... Just tell me no... Not another priestess."
"How interesting, I thought you shared tastes with Naraku on this subject."
Expressing herself as if she wasn't mocking her maker, Kagura's lips twist into a pout and she frowns.
"If you want to mock Naraku, well go ahead, but don't put me in the same bag as that stalker."
"I could never have said it better, him using Kanna's mirror to observe others makes him no different than a full blown stalker."
"Wait what..."
Before Asahiko could express his surprise at that all-important piece of information, the sound of reed soles against stone drew his attention to the top of the spotless temple.
From the darkness of the night that shrouds the surroundings a beautiful young woman makes her appearance. Her skin is abnormally pale, while her black hair reaches her waist and is framed inward, adding a certain air to her purple eyes.
"Let me introduce you to Hitomiko, one of Naraku's preparations towards Kagome and also the second choice if Tsubaki refused."
"Now I understand your confidence... She certainly is special."
"True she is. now die!"
...Christopher/Asahiko pov....
Why does everyone yell such aggressive things like, "Die", "I'm going to kill you" and my favorite "Die, Inuyasha", ¿can't we talk like civilized people sometime?.
Idiocies like that roamed through my mind, as I watched the huge agglomeration of wind. These were bumping, gathering and twisting together until they formed huge tornadoes that moved like snakes.
"As if to leave. Moon shape:Medium."
"North, South, East, West. Four-pointed prison..."
It was like being hit by a hammer on the head, no more exactly it was like being squeezed, perhaps more accurately would be to say that gravity became tens of times stronger.
All those sensations passed in a few moments, while something in my subconscious told me that I had already been through this. Yes, it was the first time I fell into the pit, the same feeling of the world rejecting you and crushing you.
As I considered all those things in my head, I could clearly see how the tornadoes generated by Kagura are hurtling towards this direction.
*Booooom*
The pressurized wind blast from the tornadoes hit me squarely, only to send me through a few houses and crash into the trees on the outskirts of town.
"Cogh, Cogh... Was that a holy sutra?"
Spitting out the pieces of rock I just swallowed, I pushed aside the trees that fell on top of me and stared up at Hitomiko.
"It was, though not one of accuracy, but general aiming."
"Can you still talk, Hitomiko? A commendable resistance, a pity that the same has brought this village to its end."
"Filthy fiend..."
Yes Hitomiko's first words seemed to be run through a filter to erase all emotions, the response she gave Kagura was overflowing with anger and there was clear hatred in them.
One interesting thing I noticed is that Hitomiko has a dark shard right on her forehead, it was easy to notice as when she blurted out her words of hate it glowed for a few moments and so did Kagura's pearl.
"If you had been this cooperative before, none of this would have happened. dance of the blades!"
"North, South, East, West. Four-pronged prison..."
The wind stirs again, but this time it twists and creates dozens of crescent-shaped slashes. On the other hand, I could now feel more clearly that I was not the target of the sutra, but that it is Clouded Fang and everything filled with its evil aura.
Basically Clouded Fang is dead weight in this battle. I throw it, I don't throw it, I throw it, I don't throw it... God, what's the worst thing that could happen to a cursed sword.
Throwing Clouded Fang into the bark of a tree and seeing it stuck there, he finally managed to get out of that suffocating feeling. The first thing was to dodge the wind blades, then open my own fan and launch a counterattack.
*Boom* *Boom* *Boom* *Boom* *Boom*.
Taking advantage of the distraction bombardment, I hit the ground hard and shoot out towards where Kagura is floating.
"Barrier!"
"Dragon Dance!"
I really don't know what was more disgusting, the barrier that came just at the right time to block my attack, or the following blow that sent me to the ground to taste the taste of stones.
"Perfect, no, no, no... Incredibly perfect. Just she has to be a clear supporting character."
"Was she always?"
"Wow, thanks for stating the obvious, ma'am."
Slapping my palm forward to make the remnants of the dust cloud disappear, I let out three powerful tails and extend my hand towards Clouded Fang.
Hahaha, how am I going to grab it if it's in that tree... Hahaha, wrong tree, clearly it was that other one... It's not... My damn sword is gone!.
*Bzzz*
Slashing with my palm towards the direction of the buzzing wings, a trail of flames that is easily a hundred meters long cuts the forest in half and lights up the night completely.
It was Naraku's bees, the one that the stalker uses to follow everyone and it looks like I've been robbed while I didn't even realize it.
"Hey~ Hey~, Kagura... If he cuts you into pieces, do you think Naraku will give me my sword back?"
"Maybe, but we'll never know!"
"Ahhh!"
Keeping the smile on my face that must be beautiful, he watched as Kagura crushes the pearl. From the shattered pearl a shard flies out and joins Hitomiko, after that a dark aura envelops her completely.
Her beautiful amethyst colored eyes turn cloudy, while her holy power seems to go crazy from the reaction between it and the energy of the dark fragments, causing her to let out those screams.
"I leave her in your care."
"Sure, sure, and I'm going to take care of her~"
Laughing briefly and even going so far as to cover my lips with the palm of my right hand, I fix my eyes on Kagura who starts to fly away and prepares to jump.
The word is 'Prepare', as I didn't get to jump, all due to dozens of cold hands grabbing my limbs and then restraining me to the ground.
"West, Byakko:Chain Lightning!"
Along with the rapid chanting of Evil Hitomiko, the talisman in her hand burns in a few moments and a lightning storm is summoned right above my head.
*Boom* *Boom* *Boom* *Boom* *Boom*
The earth was broken, the air was filled with an electrical charge and everything around me was shattered. Clearly that attack was not something normal, but she doesn't seem to be satisfied.
"North, Genbu:Earth Peaks."
The ground quickly cracks, almost as if it was actually cracking open with gusto, then dozens of rocky pillars reach upwards in an attempt to impale me.
Obviously I didn't stand there to be skewered, so with a palm strike on the ground it completely obliterated that set and formed a sword of flames in my hand.
"I won't accept taking a loss, much less in the face of such a vile plan... Umm, you'll make the perfect spoils of war~"
