"You know it took me forever to scrape off that tough guy act off him, tone down his jagged behaviour until only his sweet self remained?" He swiped his tongue over his lips. "Well, for the most part anyway."
Minho was confused at the man's dark allure as he fought the sense to buy the story or completely ignore him. Because this man was a liar, or so he thought―telling him some far-fetched probably made-up story to see how he'd react. Of course, he was repulsed, yet he found himself wanting to hang on to Jae Hyun's story with some twisted sense of curiosity.
"By the time we were done," there was a sadistic tone to Jae Hyun's words. "Let's just say I made him a goddamn masterpiece."
He trailed his finger along Minho's jawline, something that came off as quite confusing to Minho, because what was this man doing? He took a step back, and Jae Hyun didn't relent to close that gap.
"And you know what? I see it in you too, same fire burning inside, you pretty boy." His words were now coming out somewhat raspy, with a sense of desire.
He leaned in close enough to make them both flush. Minho on the other had every instinct telling him to pull away and put more distance between himself and Jae Hyun. But he froze rigid instead, trying so hard not to show Jae Hyun that he was shocked and just maintaining his defiant act enough for the man to not snap.
"What, you're some kind of a perv now? Talking about me like that?" he choked, unable to bite back his words even as he got more tense. "Look, I'm not like tha―"
"Shhh…pretty boy, see… you're getting all worked up over nothing."
Jae Hyun almost always knew how to remain weirdly casual in situations that were the exact opposite of that. Maybe that's just how he had learnt to brave them over time, but right now it was unsettling for Minho. How did he manage to stay so calm while saying bizarre things like that?
He leaned in much closer, this time their faces were just inches apart. "I'm pretty sure I know what's got those big honey pools dilated like that baby."
Baby?
Minho felt nauseated at the mention of that. This man was far more twisted than he had thought. Minho went rigid, looking like his brain zoned out for a long stretch, drowned with instincts to resist.
But then again, Jae Hyun would use his old man again as a bargaining chip. And that wouldn't help the situation much.
"It's only natural though, you don't have to worry." His voice had now lowered into a disturbing mumble. He began to nuzzle against Minho's throat, his free hand raking its way into his sweat-damp hair. "You know I've seen so many people like you… fighting that urge, feeling that helpless…"
"And what makes you think I'm those guys?" Minho managed to say, fighting every urge to rebel against his thoughts. Nervousness took over and he bit his lip to keep himself from laughing. He shook his head wildly, dismissing those thoughts and convincing himself that maybe he was beginning to fall into the clutches of this man, since he was left with no choice but to protect his dad.
"Yeah, I love watching you lie to yourself." He let out a heavy breath, yanking Minho's head back and leaving his neck bare. His nails dug into Minho's scalp, forcing an embarrassing whine off Minho's lips. Jae Hyun was now pissing him off.
"I see it in your eyes, you're fighting so hard to deny it."
Jae Hyun knew that Minho couldn't stand him. Minho was a smart mouth who could charm his way out of everything, courteous, daring and an absolute pain in his neck. He searched his face, and all he could see was a lost, misguided Minho who needed an attitude adjustment.
From the moment he saw him, he knew Minho needed someone to control him, and he wanted someone to control, someone who could give him what he wanted.
Jae Hyun's job couldn't afford him petty mistakes, and the escorts he had hired earlier to play the role were nothing close to what he truly desired. He wanted a boy of his own.
And Minho was going to be that boy.
"We both know what that is. A big, fat lie." He brushed his lips on Minho's throat, every word fanning out in a hot, breathy rasp. "So, tell me, pretty boy, do I make you tick? Having to bend to someone's will huh?"
Minho's gasp however betrayed him. Fear and rage had boiled up inside him to a fever pitch. It was strangling every last whip of sensible thought until the only thing that remained was an acute sense of awareness that this was really happening.
He had never seen it coming. Not that he would have anyway.
"That's it, pretty… let it out…" Jae Hyun mumbled as he pulled Minho by his waist much closer to him, reaching below his shirt and gently touching his back, something that relished Minho's panic.
He stared at Jae Hyun. What was he talking about, was he crazy?
No, because he had to be kidding. There was no way he was going to become Jae Hyun's plaything. He knew that there were plenty of people out there who would gladly do it at a fee.
Jae Hyun was really rubbing him the wrong way. If he had a choice, he would have slithered himself out of this mess. Yet he had to stand the man toy with him. He had to take it. Even with utter confusion taking him over, he could've sworn he felt a ghosting heat of Jae Hyun's mouth grazing his ear.
"You'll thank me for this," his voice had taken on a shrill desire. "Don't fight it, soon enough, I'll be all you're yearning for…"
Minho swallowed thickly, searching Jae Hyun's face for a trace of a joke. His face fell when all he met was a stone-faced hungry stare. Of every possible scenario he had imagined, this had never quite played out in his mind.
He was on the verge of shuddering because his heart was thumping too hard and his face had begun to feel hot. He wanted to hide.
What made it so much worse was that Jae Hyun bore into him, those deep eagle eyes weren't glancing away even for a bit. The feeling of his hands was overwhelming the boy. For a moment he tried turning away, but Jae Hyun stopped him.
Something wasn't right. What was happening to him?
"Well?"
"Look, we can figure something else out. I know you are trying to scare me into not leaving. I get it… won't happen again, I promise…" Minho blinked.
"And why would I ever let you out of my sight, ever?" he raised a brow. "You already tried once."
"I won't this time, trust me," Minho choked out, nodding hard. "I'm ready to make amends, just don't―"
"You're now being delusional at this point, if not straight-up stupid."
"Is it helping?" Minho asked.
"Does it matter?"Jae Hyun replied, indifferent.
"I hope it does." Minho said, pulling himself back."So, what do you think? I promise…I won't… do you think we...c-can―"
Jae Hyun stared at Minho disbelievingly. Surely, the boy didn't know when to shut up. He shot his arms in the air, adjusting his sleeves before moving too close to Minho that he had to stride backwards until he reached the wall.
"Okay, okay!" he yelled. "Shit, calm down,"
"Do you ever learn?" he snapped
"Okay! But I mean it. You don't have to do this, there are so many ways―"
"Tsk tsk"
"We can figure out what- What are you doing?"
Minho's heart raced to a point where he could barely breathe, He tried to look away but Jae Hyun grabbed his chin to meet his. His thumb brushed Minho's lip.
That's when a startling knock at the door caught their attention. Jae Hyun turned, clearly irritated at whoever was on the other side of the door. It was one of his men at the door, looking disdainful like some matter of urgency had just come up.
He shot him a displeased glare.
"What?"
