Leon's Death - Part 2

Athena's body stiffened at Liliana's words. The smile on her lips vanished, replaced by a shadow of deep gloom.

"Leon... had an accident and is most likely... dead? Are you seriously saying this, Liliana Crimson?" She asked coldly.

A fiery red aura began to gather around her, causing the study to tremble violently, as if the room itself couldn't withstand the pressure she was releasing.

"I'm not joking," Liliana said firmly, sorrow and reluctance clouding her expression. "You may not know this, but Leon and I share a special bond through a mark called the Demon Mark."

"Through it, I could sense his condition—and he could sense mine. But just now, the mark vanished. And that can only mean one thing—Leon is dying, or even... dead."

Saying the word "dead" was painful. Leon was a powerful figure—it was hard to believe someone like him could fall.

After all, he was the "Fated One," the bearer of hope, the one destined to save the world.
