I leave the room and see Everett waiting for me. When I get there we start walking.

"I need to head to the apartment first before we get Akira."

"Alright."

It didn't take long for us to get to the apartment. When we got there I entered and went to my room. I quickly changed into jeans and a tank top with a jacket on top of it. When I can out I hear Everett chuckle before speaking.

"Forgot today was Friday?"

"What makes you say that?"

"You changed."

"If you really need to know, yes, I did."

"I guess so."

"Let's go. I'm sure Akira is going to want to see her brother."

"Alright, Mallvack."

We were about to leave when I said something.

"Wait, why did you ask now?"

"You're more honest when it is just the two of us."

"So you have noticed."

"Yes, I have."

We leave the apartment and head out. It takes a few minutes before we get to the door. Everett grabs his keycard and opens the door for the two of us to walk outside. When we get outside, a light breeze blows through.

"It feels nice out."

"I'm glad it's not cold."

"Didn't bring a jacket?"

"Nope."

"Of course not. Now can we walk to the place or do we have to drive?"

"If we walk it would take like 15 minutes"

"Alright, lend the way."

We start walk to the house. Looking around, it was quite nice being away from people and how the trees seemed. Before I realized we were walking into an alleyway to get to the city. The city was crammed as always. Everett knows where he is going, so I just have to not lose him in this crowd. We got to an apartment complex. Everett leads the way to the apartment. When we get there he knocks on the door. I hear someone walking to the door. The door opens revealing a 30 year old women with a 4 year old walking behind her.

The woman has blond hair and blue eyes. Her hair is a mess and it looks like she has not had a good sleep in a while. She is about 160 cm. The girl is about 90 cm. She has brown hair and blue eyes. The women spoke.

"I'm assuming this is who 'saved' my 'son'."

"Yes, I am. I'm assuming you are his mother."

"Yes, I am. Listen I said yesterday and I will say it again you can keep the brat. He is no good."

"Now why would you say that? He is quite good at what he does."

"Like?"

"His school work to begin with."

"It could be better." I realize this is going nowhere so I change the topic.

"I'm here to let your daughter see Luckus." I see Akira smile when I say that. Akira turns and leaves.

"And why should I let you?"

"Because it was not Akira's idea to see him."

"How would you know?" I turn to Everett.

"Was it Akira's idea to see Luckus?"

"Yes, it was." I turn back to the women.

"By the sounds of it Akira wants to go." Akira comes back with a little bag.

"Can I go? I want to see if Luckus is really ok."

"Why would you want to see him? It's useless."

"Because he is my brother." Akira seemed sad that her mother would say that.

"You know if I were you I would let her." Akira gets happy again and runs up to my leg and holds it, not saying anything.

"And what do you know about kids?"

"That kids remember and you never know what they will become."

"So what if they remember? Then he will remember why he is a disappointment." Akira looks up at me before looking at her mother.

"He isn't. He is amazing." She looks and me tugging at my pants. I look down at her.

"Yes?"

"Can we go?"

"No."

"Why? I want to."

"Because I don't want your mom calling the police on me for kidnapping you."

"But I want to go."

I look at her mom. "So, what do you say? Remember this if I leave by the looks of it Akira will be coming with me, if I want her to or not."

Her mom looks defeated before saying. "Fine but I want her back before lunch or I will call the police on you."

"Ok."

I pick up Akira before turning around and walking away with Everett. When we get into the main part of the city Everett speaks up.

"You know, you are good with your words."

"Why do you say that?"

"I didn't expect us to leave with Akira so willingly."

"Well we have her now." Akira speaks.

"What are your names?"

"Well you know Everett and I'm Mallvack."

"You have a nice name."

"You think so?"

"Yep. By the way, how do you know my name?"

"Everett told me."

"You guys must be close."

"We are."

"How close are you two?"

"We have known each other since we were teens."

"Why doesn't he talk a lot?"

"He just doesn't. Some people are like that."

"Really?"

"Yes." We get to the alleyway we come in from and go through it. I look at Everett as he is looking down.

"You good?"

"Me?"

"Yes, you, Everett"

"Yes, sorry."

"You don't need to apologize."
