Bushes

"What…What happened??" Ivan examined the broken stone wall many times but failed to understand why the mountain wall would break like that.

He understood his own strength very well.

Even if Ivan were to unleash one thousand Roaring Moon Fists at a single point in the stone wall without rest, he still wouldn't be able to break through the stone wall with ease.

But from what the boy could make of the broken wall, it looked like the broken off stone collapsed on its own before forming a line on either side, welcoming Ivan to pass through the newly made stone tunnel with the utmost respect.

"This…" Ivan cocked his head to the right as he thought about this strange phenomenon.

"Hmmmm, judging by the way the stone wall was broken through perfectly…I can deduce that the culprit behind this matter is a…magic user. Only wizards can change nature to this degree." Chin in hand, Ivan couldn't help but furrow his brows.

"But hor, I am sure that I'm the only one here. Apart from Leviathan, who's living in my mind."

But no matter how the boy thought, he still couldn't piece this together with the mysterious orb of light within his mind. Ah yes, children are dumb.

When Ivan emerged from the end of the stone tunnel, he was reunited with his caretaker, Calvin as well as a tall, black haired man in a lab coat.

"Oh hi uncle, what are you doing here?" As if he hadn't just gone through 3 weeks without food, Ivan put on a bright smile as he stepped forwards to greet Calvin.

"We're here to pick you up." Calvin nodded his head as a reply. His face was cold as ever.

"We? Oh, hello big brother! Do forgive me as I just noticed you." When Ivan locked eyes with Lucas, the boy hurriedly bowed with a flustered look.

He figured that since the tall man came with Calvin, he must be someone important from Jumper Academy's Examination Hall.

"Hai hai, it's fine~. There's no need to get so flustered. It happens all the time. I'm used to it~" Lucas didn't get angry, and instead waved off Ivan's apology with a smile.

As the head examiner in charge of Jumper Academy's entrance exams, Lucas had already experienced enough awkward situations like this that he could set aside his pride and act like it didn't bother him at all.

'Although this child is a bit slow in the head, I can see that he's an unpolished rock ready to be made into a diamond. Hehehe, so what if this boy in front of me is the nephew of the Wizard King of Life & Death? I'll just hide behind the World Council as I bring this child to Elder Ong's side and–'

"Are you okay, uncle?" Seeing how the man in front of him remained motionless, Ivan took a deep breath before he inquired with a concerned look plastered on his face. "I'm sorry if my actions bothered you just now."

Interjected by Ivan's words, Lucas was immediately brought back to reality.

'Eh?' But before he could realign his three views, he had suddenly found himself standing on a calm body of water.

'Where…Where am I?'

Lucas squinted his eyes to get a better look at his surroundings.

But after looking around for a few minutes, he had no choice but to give up.

No matter how hard he squinted his eyes, all he could see was an endless ocean.

Just then, he spotted a bump on the surface of the waters.

'Heh, I knew that this place wasn't safe.' The carefreeness Lucas has been showing up till now vanished in an instant.

He didn't know where he was or why he was here but he knew that he had to be on guard at every possible moment.

Lucas became vigilant as he took off his lab coat before transforming it into a mana rifle.

'Bring it on, you fuck…' Lucas cursed under his breath as he focused his firearm at the bump in the water.

Lucas planned to blow the sea monster's brains out if it appeared.

Alas, the plan went south almost immediately.

When the sea creature rose from the calm waters, Lucas was stunned into silence as he looked towards the beast with dread filled eyes.

What appeared before the sage was a giant sea serpent as large as the ocean itself.

'An Azure Dragon?' Lucas thought that the sea serpent before him was a mythical beast found within the eastern continent.

The giant sea serpent's azure blue scales were incredibly like that of an Azure Dragon.

Furthermore, the giant sea serpent merely glanced at Sage Lucas for a moment yet the head examiner had already peed himself.

Its purple eyes resembled amethysts as large as mountains he had climbed before. Simply magnificent to the mortal's three views.

'This…I'm fucked.' Lucas thought to himself.

'Yeah, you are fucked.' Leviathan read his mind and replied with glee laced in his voice.

"Ah, I think he used his brain a bit too much there. I guess I'll have to send him to the infirmary now, haiz…" Calvin sighed in annoyance.

10 minutes had since passed when Lucas's soul was forcibly transported to Ivan's sea of consciousness.

Leviathan and Chaos were so eager to have a talk with the man that they had forgotten about the situation outside of the boy's body.

Needless to say, when Calvin decided to check up on the suddenly quiet Lucas, he noticed that his head examiner's friend's head was burning hot.

'Did the guy faint while talking? Damn.' Calvin applied basic ice magic to Lucas' forehead before he turned around to look at Ivan with a smile.

"Uncle Calvin, is that uncle alright?" [Ivan]

"That's what worries you? Pft, kids these days." [Calvin]

"Well…yeah! The uncle was kind to me. I want to be kind to him back!" Ivan

"Alright, alright…Enough with the bush beating, I'll get straight to the point now. Congratulations, Ivan. You've achieved perfect completion in your entrance exams." Calvin revealed it to the innocent child.
