Chapter 10:Guild life for a kid.

"Let go of me." Aldin said in a slow but cold voice.

The huge man kissed his teeth and raised his hand ready to hit Aldin, but he was unable to bring it down. His entire body except his head was frozen. Aldi walked away but this time the entire hall was silent as they all watched him, and nobody blocked his path.

The previous day as they were headed back to the city, Richard had made a request from Aldin.

"I know some of them will not respect you when they see you but please try not to kill them and don't show too much power, not everyone finds joy in someone younger than them holding more power."

And thanks to that Dan was able to survive his encounter with Aldin.

Aldin walked towards one of the counters and to the clerk, "I wanted to sign up for some quests?" he asked her, she had the urge to laugh but after what she had seen happen to the huge man held her back.

"Head to the mission boards and pick the quest you would like to try and once you've found them you can register them here." she said with a smile as she pointed to a large boards on one side of the hall.

Aldin went to the boards and chose a B ranked quest. He proceeded to register it at the clerk's desk, the mission he had picked was to subjugate giant lizards that had hindered fishermen's livelihood. After getting directions to the beast's hideout, he left the city and headed out.

Since I was out of the city, I tried out the flight spell my father had taught me, it was just a flat board like light construct that would float and help me get to my destination faster, within a short amount of time I was at the banks fishery . According to the reports attached to the mission they would stay on the banks and would go into the river to get food, with that I had been able to scheme on how I would draw them out, I started by hunting fish form the river then pile them up and moved some distance away. Within a short amount of time the large lizards had come out and were feasting on the bait I had laid out. As they were feeding I would use ice arrows would impale them killing them instantly, I had been able to kill thirty of them. I carried the carcasses back to the guild, I got back at the guild at around noon but because I didn't want too much attention I had to use water magic since that was my only known attribute I had to use an ice cart, which was less effective, but the catch was still too much that it grabbed the attention of everyone I walked by, even those at the guild were stunned.

"HEY KID! GET ME OUT OF HERE!" I heard someone shout from one side of the hall, it was the man I had frozen in the morning he was still there and had even been moved on too a platform. I felt the urge to gag him but chose not to fall victim to my urges and just ignored him and continued to walk away. I cleared my mission at the clerk's desk and got my reward. I had planned to head home but first I had to make a detour to the fish market. It was run by an old man. Those beast had really affected the mans business, he hardly had fish and from the looks of it he might have had to close his shop. But now thongs would be better for them. With j of them dead.

Jake

When a kid walked in the guild I thought that maybe he was lost, but he froze me and the guild master still covered him up in the evening the ice begun to melt away and I was able to get out of it. It was already nighttime and I would normally head to the inn but I needed a drink to take down my anger a bit.

When I got to the bar everybody had there eyes glued on me and whispers were travelling around. Although I was unable to hear any of them, they all seemed to focus on one thing, the kid that had frozen me. Without even getting the drink I'd come for I immediately left and went to the inn.

I had to get revenge, that cocktail brat would meet his end by my hands.

Back at the bar whispers had turned to an all out debate among the occupants of the bar.

"He killed an entire horde of troublesome lizards.:

"Jake tried to mess with him in the morning but he was frozen."

"Even the guild master doesn't mess with him, when fire users tried to free Jake the captain said that it was a lesson that he needed everyone to learn."

And so praise of Aldin would soon spread out and he would soon be called prince of Aden.

Early the next day Aldin had gone back to the guild and took a mission to hunt bores. He roamed in the woods and for those that would be unlucky to cross his path would die from an arrow head shot.

He didn't want to over do it so he didn't kill much. Unknown to him someone had followed him and just as Aldin was ready to leave an arrow came from behind him and went into his legs. Out of pain he immediately fell to the ground and at that moment a the pair that had tried to kill him came out of the woods and were asking towards him.

After killing enough boars I was ready to leave when an arrow came from behind and impaled my foot. I had not been using radar and so I was not able to sense it . As I was on the ground I could hear some footsteps and they were coming at me. I turned back to see my attackers and it was the man I had frozen and someone else.

"I thought my warning would be enough." I said.

"Why you little…" he wanted to say but he was stopped by his companion.

"The mission we have to put him down before he gets any stronger." His companion said.

The reason I had yet to kill them was because of their guild master, Richard ad pleaded on their behalf but now here we were.

"I'm sorry but who is going to be putting who down." I said as I shot two ice shards at their shins bringing them down to their knees.

"Now how about we have a little chat." I said as I formed a seat using earth magic and faced them. Immediately I saw their expressions twisting with shock from what they had just seen.

"Next time you going to need to do some investigation before attacking if there is a next time that is." I said.

They tried getting up but before they could even try getting up I sunk them into the earth leaving only their heads out.

But before discussion I fired up a flare light to call Richard over.

Richard

I had hoped that nobody would try anything with Aldin but even on the first day Jake had tried hitting the kid and ended up getting frozen, I thought that would be enough of a lesson for him but now here I was looking at him buried in the earth with his head up with Ian next to him.

"What do we do about them?" Aldin asked me from his seat. I could clearly see the arrow still on his foot, from the constant frown on his head it was quite painful for him.

"First we have to get that arrow out of your foot, but it's going to hurt so brace yourself said "And raise the one at the end we can use his supplies to close that wound. Ian had a water pouch with him and for the badge we tore part of his shirt. After bandaging it was time for the discussion.

"I have an idea and after hearing it I was neglecting to follow it but I had no choice.

After getting back to the city Aldin pitched his plan to his parents Lark had to hold back Silvia so she wouldn't kill the two.

After the preparations were done we headed to city Hall. The guillotine was prepared and ready, people were crowded there wondering what had been happening.

Lark got the peoples attention and read out the two's charges. The people reacted by cheering. This shocked me, but looking back at the two's personality I understood their reason for cheering. The two had been notorious for abusing their power and now they were going to meet there end. Lark announced the verdict but it was interrupted.
