Chapter 84

******

The remaining part of the day was more hectic since more students came over and despite all that Isabella sat apart from the others. By evening the number of students that had woken up was twelve, the others had yet to. On Monday the following week their teacher had arrived and by then nineteen were awake. She assessed everyone's runes. She was delighted at Marcus' runes. When she got to Isabella the whole class went silent.

'I wonder what this little brat got.' Layla, the professor thought to herself.

Layla was one of the individuals in the school who did not like Isabella because of her attribute. This had happened to her ever since she got to the academy, though it was hushed a bit because the principal obviously did not want that to happen. Isabella was also unable to report this since most of the professors were in on this.

"Come on show us what you can do?" Layla said with a disinterested tone.

Lily turned invisible the next second and disappeared. After a few seconds she appeared again.

'I wish Aldin were here.' Isabella thought to herself, remembering how kind he was to her.

"You don't need to attend class, yours does not need any work." The professor said to Isabella who immediately walked away. When she left the classroom, she turned invisible as this made her more comfortable and went to her dorm.

Aldin Randell

When we finished training the third years on runes we headed back to the academy. Since there were no extra carriages, I had to carry it with a light construct. The students were impressed by this feat and more by the creatures I was carrying.

"If he can do it then so can I." one of the boys said.

"Are you mental, do you think you can compare with him, he may be a first year, but he is a monster non the less, using the normal standers on him is setting yourself up for heartbreak." another said

"I wish I had power like that." one of them said and all the students fell into a state of self-pity except Isabella who seemed to be in her own world.

When we got to the academy I went to see the principal first.

"I wanted to borrow one of the warehouses." I said.

"What for?" Master asked.

"There are some items I want to forge." Aldin said.

"I thought you already forged enough weapons." Master said as he looked up at me.

"Ohh, they're not for me, they are for a friend of mine." I said.

"And what about your lessons." Master asked.

"I was hoping you could allow me to attend them until noon and assign them work as I forge."

"Okay, but that means you will have to do some more work later on." Master said.

"And what work will that be." I asked.

"You'll know when the time comes. You can leave now get ready for tomorrow as well, the third-year teacher has yet to come back, and I hope you can continue what you were doing. I' send a guard to you with the details." He said and I left.

I went to the library, I wanted to find out the method of forging magical weapons. I found the book, but there was also an interesting book next to it and I took it with me. I read the first book and finished it, I understood the process I would have to follow. It was not that late, so I decided to read the second book, as I read it, I learnt a whole new concept that I had yet to see. And also, a new feeling crept in with anger, the information I was reading was beyond important and yet somehow it had all been skipped during all my lessons. I remembered one of his master's words of how I would likely get more out of it if he learnt it all of it on my own and that only served to fuel my anger.

The next morning Darvin came down for breakfast. All the while Aldin was silent. I did not want to start my day on a sour note. Even on the way I kept to myself during the day I would only speak as I taught the third years and I am pretty sure they could see I was in a bad mood and chose not to speak.

In the evening when we got back to the academy, I went back to the mansion, picked up the book and went to his office. I didn't even bother knocking, I was beyond annoyed and placed the book on his desk and looked him straight in the eye. Although I was disrespectful to him, I knew he would do nothing to me, his beloved disciple. When he saw the book, I could see his expression change.

"So, you found out?" He said scratching the back of his head. I ignored those words and continued staring at him with a frown on my head.

"I thought you would discover it by yourself." He said and ii continued to ignore his words.

"Is there anything you conveniently skipped in your lessons?" I asked.

"Well..." he began. I found out that he had been doing that from the day we started alchemy. As he explained I got even more angry, it was infuriating. Now I had to re study everything from the start. While in the office I almost failed to notice the professor who was sitting there, I just chose to ignore her. I headed to the library next, I had a lot to do now because of an unforeseen obstacle. I took them to my room and since I would not be attending my lessons until I was done with everything, I had to make lesson plans for Celine to use. After writing them down I left for her residence. Like all the others before I did not bother knocking. I could not find her there I just left them on the table before going.
