Chapter 101

Penelope Bloom

But what about these students." The guard asked.

"They will be walking," I said. Protests began rising from the back as they complained of how unfair it was.

"You should not have harrowed your classmate for three years then," I said and looked back at them while saying this. When I turned back, I saw the guard clenching his jaw.

'Seem everyone is agreeing, boy is this the worst time for them to be holding on to their pride.' I thought.

"It will be here in a moment." He said as he walked away.

"Now to ensure none of you dare try and run off," I said. I walked up to each of them and made ice chains on their necks.,

These are all to ensure none of you escape, you will be unable to hide from me and it will be extremely hard to break them." I said and the next moment the carriage arrived.

"Good, let us be on our way," I said.

I got into the cart and Kyle followed in.

"Take us to the woods, a mile from the city," I said to the carriage coach.

We were now on our way to get some materials. Kyle who sat next to me still had a serious face on.

I closed the curtains to block out the view from the outside.

"What are you doing, they'll hear us," Kyle said.

"You're being a little naughty," I said. I sat down next to him and went under his arm. "I only wanted to cuddle."

I looked up to see him go red.

"And we are going to have to take it down a notch next time. They heard me last night." I said worsening his redness. I slumped on him to enjoy his warmth and took in the musky scent coming off of him.

After the morning assembly, I went to the warehouse. I had to give time for Isabella to get used to her new teacher. The principal had informed me that he would not be able to help me pout today since he had a lot of work to do concerning the new professors. I had gone through everything concerning alchemy so far, now I had to go back to forging. I looked over to my magical beast carcass parts and smiled, they were still capable of being used. I took a book containing all there was to know about forging. I read the whole book and despite knowing some of the concepts I still read everything that it had. I could not bear to leave any stone unturned. I learned so many new things, I realized facts that I had never batted an eye on. I was done in two hours. Now it was time to do it practically. However as I read it through, I found out that most of it requires a lot of mana to take effect.

"I don't think even the other students have learnt this.' I thought to myself.

"Now to start with skill infusion," I said to myself.

According to what I had read this was imbuing skill into weapons. This is only possible if the weapon had a core and at my level, all I could do was add a beast core. They would automatically take on the skill of the beast it was taken out of. One had to be careful when creating armor using this method to form suitable weapons. The book gave some advice on what one was to be careful of.

I was going to use a set of beasts I had obtained over the weekend. First up was that of the phoenix. While fighting it I observed that it would set its wings ablaze and fire them as fireballs. According to the book, this would be suitable for items that could launch attacks. What came to mind was fire mages firing fireballs, maybe it could be used for that purpose.

'How about using them on gauntlets, if it is used like the phoenix's wing then maybe it could form on the palm and be fired from there. Then should place the circuits of the core on the palm.' I thought to myself. On the writing pad I had I began designing how I wanted to make the gauntlets. 1I was able to come up with a pretty good idea for the gauntlet.

"Now to get to work," I said to myself and walked over the materials obtained from the phoenix. I picked up the bones to give it firmness, some feathers for design, the core for power and some of its blood for siphoning. I took them to my worktable and got to work.

Taking the bone, I filled it with mana and then designed the gauntlet. I had to use move bone to make it firmer. I added the feathers but did not alter their shapes, and that made out the design. Suing the tip of the gauntlet I dipped it into the blood of the phoenix and added it to the restructure it went in and created the mana circuits, path for mana to flow, which was a circle on the palm with paths branching out to the top where I added in the crystal and pushed it in the gauntlet. I was now done. When I wore it, I could feel the gauntlet sucking mana, it was directed from my core and went to the crystal. The mana needed was not supposed to be attributed meaning it could be used by anyone. I had just had my first success in forging a magical weapon.

I was so happy that I let out a yelp of joy. I sat down to take a rest before moving on to my next item. The next minute I heard the door open, and one of the new professors walked in.

Liam Lauden

After getting to know my responsibilities I was ready to get to work but first I needed to go to the inventory and pick up the materials. I walked out and was headed to go to the inventory and pick up some materials but when I passed warehouse number two, I heard a loud yelp. Curiosity got the better of me and I just had to go check it out
