Apologies

Killian leaned closer, their lips barely touching before he softly kissed her. "You're right. We need to talk."

Amara nodded slowly. "Killian, I-I…."

"Shhhh," he whispered gently, placing his finger on her lips to silence her. "Let me talk first. I know there's so much you want to say, but before that, please just listen to me."

She nodded again. "Okay."

With a deep breath, Killian began to speak from his heart. "Amara, I'm not sure where to start or what to say exactly, but it's clear that I've hurt you. On that day, I said things I shouldn't have. Instead of allowing you to share the truth, I let my anger blind me. I should have given you the space to explain, to help clear up my misunderstanding, but I didn't."

His voice trembled as he continued, "Instead, I chose to lash out. I chose to hate you for the pain I felt. I wanted you to hurt just like I was hurting. I wanted you to feel my pain..."
