Chapter Seventy one

Keini , the temporary manager of training rooms was going on and on about the cleaner job. As usual, no one wants to do that. On top of it, it paid less. And the most important part.

"It takes mana or spirit for cleaning arrays to work." Cleaning arrays were perpetual workers but the energy needed for it to work was too big a burden at village level.

'Arrays creats unemployment', Artha really wanted to shout such slogan and protest. However, few brain cells were still working, so he stopped himself.

As villages were too poor and this one was certainly top from the bottom, the cleaning formations were seldom used. The glyphs and arrays used were the least expensive and some worked enough if ambient mana was a bit on higher side, for example, in training rooms. Hence, these NPCs charged extra as cleaning charges too, when billing for the training rooms.

The management was not too bad. Without the cleaning glyphs and arrays, the break between each experiment and between each change in occupancy of the room would be a lot. And that would be counter productive. Thus, they bit the bullet and kept those glyphs active.

The job for cleaner or garbage disposer was not much. However, it had to be done either early morning before the blessed immortals camped in or at end of the day, when they were leaving. There would be a huge queue for each room. Can't waste time to clean. So to speak this job will not affect Artha's grinding. But the book copying time ....Fine, even Zoya said he won't be able to copy it now. Maybe there was some sort of restriction? He had to go back and check.

Keini didn't talk about glyphs and arrays, though he wanted to know very much about them. As it was still not time to close the training rooms, he had to walk out. He will check about his theory later. If possible.

He decided to walk towards dungeons. Today being first day, there bound to be more freebies than mentioned by others.

What ? You thought the players are honest and disclose everything just to get two minutes of fame? What is fame? Can you eat it? This is a race, baby. You have to win by hook or crook. No one shared complete details. And it might have looked that guilds were just following wait and watch approach but that's totally not what was happening. Artha was an outsider. An outsider who had in touch with other powerful guilds. Who would share any details with him?

Poor Artha. He found out about it only after listening to the chatter around the dungeon entrance. As usual, the guilds bought services of few motormouths to showcase their grandiose.

Having fans was a necessity for guilds. Only the fans would be loyal and toil hard and still worship you like an ancestor. Free labour! Companies love it! The bosses love it. Every penny saved here will line their pockets.

There canvasers evolved organically too. That's why it doesn't look like it's advertising. Seriously. These people were initially fans, loved everything about the game. It's like love me, love my dog. Yeah, these people even loved the dogs. So, they shared their love. Others felt it and boom! A new way to make money.

The thriving scene near dungeon entrance made a good starting point to spread rumours and stories. As mentioned before, dungeons needed more people to enter. So if you are a rag tag team of three or four friends, you still need others. If you are solo player, you definitely need others. So there was two way selling. One selling oneself, that is a solo player for a team run. Other, calling others to fill in the vacancy in your team. One side might be willing to join but others might not agree. No wonder a wonderful cacophony of noise and bustle was present there.

Over five thousand players, not every one would choose to be mainstream. Few would take a small detour, others just want to have fun, so tried something entirely new. After all, there is no such thing as weak profession.

But it's also true that few jobs are better for dungeon runs. For example, a healer or a tank.

This was really the first time of Artha. He had watched few vids and analysis of viids related to dungeons, but nothing beats first hand knowledge. As he was wondering if he would spend remaining time here near entrance, listening to gossip, he was rescued.

By his favourite - Sela. She was no nonsense girl, who played tank but knew mage. She had guts, determination and bullheadedness to create a group of hotheads and lead it. Her team farmed together very less time, yet all of the members were on par with reserves of guilds.

"Sela! Sela! Hi!" he ran towards her. Being a tank with an entourage made her move unobstructed. In contrast, Artha, a poor soul (he was still carrying his training staff he got he started) had to move against tide, or so it seemed. After running and using stamina, he finally met her.

"Sela, are you entering the dungeon? Pull me in please."

He also sent her message - Same deal as in the morning.

Yep, he was still paying the team to killsteal and get XP. If the method of transaction was with training staff he would have been even happier, he still had over 2000 staff left. The NPC apprentice didn't require it, the blacksmith didn't need it, so it was left in his room, taking maximum space. That's the reason why he still used the old staff, though the market had occasional staffs of higher levels.

After all, the effect of the weapon or rather any equipment or accessories was entirely based on its level and tier/rarity. Level 5 trash staff would be a lot better than superior tier level 0 staff.

Sela unfortunately was not incharge of this expedition, though. She had to talk with the team leader and get permission.

Don't go by the novels, most of the people who come to play game, literally just want to play game. Unless the situation demands it, no player who disregard other player or scorn him. And add to the fact that this was still a newbie village and the game had just started, there was no lifelong hate and hatred between the players. If the players got fed up, they could always delete this account and start a new one without feeling much pain. A week's progress is not much compared to months or years spent on a single account.

The team lead just looked at the stats of the poor silly mage. Giving face to Sela, he agreed to take one waste space into the team.

And just like that, Artha got a ticket to enter the dungeon on the first day itself.
