Chapter Eighty two

Artha really, really didn't mean to stop Jack. But his description of his blades was so beyond ambiguous that it was waving from the moon. And, it was not like Jack really meant it. Or maybe he did. Older, spicier ginger and all that. Let's just pretend that Jack didn't mean it but he was a big child with ADHD, so he was diverting his attention this way.

You really cannot blame Artha, not completely. Not when the said thief claimed he chose the class because he really, really wanted to steal the clothes off the female player or NPC on the sky, without their knowledge. That crossed the line. Even in a joke. Artha was even more sensitive to such jokes before he had seen his sister Sama suffer from such jokes. It's not funny to be recepient of such jokes. Saying it was just a joke, you didn't mean it won't wash off.

The content of the joke was not right. Or maybe the dialogue delivery was wrong. Whatever, it shut Jack. Artha handed over the items to Sela to distribute fairly. Why the heck did you become the collector of monster loots if you didn't want the previlage of distributing it? The members just shook their heads. Artha was being noob again.

More than half of the loot was potions. Next common ones were task items. But look, there were equipments. A lot more than what Artha had seen yesterday.

And here, the incharge of distributing shines the best. After a level 2 gloves was different from level 3 one. Which would be definitely different from level 3 boots or even level 3 robe. There were different ways to divide. Each with merits and demerits.

Sela, chose to go elite way. She just had mini auction. Want to buy, pay with coins. The coins would enter the joint pool. In the end, all the coins would be divided equally. Kidding!

Leader and subordinate get extra. MVP gets extra.(MVP= most valuable player). Just to keep things spicy and competitive. Then remaining amount is finally divided equally.

So what would happen if no one wants the item dropped? Such items will be sold outside, in the makeshift market and money divided.

Curiously, Artha didn't bid for any item. Ha ha ha! Why should he? When he had multiple copies of the same in his bags?

His idea was a success. He was designated loot collector. So the game was giving him the goodies. So multiplier effect applied. He had so much XP that he could really become a level 10 player, probably. The XP needed for each level up was a bit wonky. Few bored people waiting till the game to start always spent some time thinking such things. Till date no one had a solid idea. It was not doubling the previous XP. It was not multiples of 10, 100 etc. Even bad part from the game, it never denoted how much XP is needed for next level up. Only XP bar was present which would fill up slowly. The values calculated were by reverse calculation.

Artha was savouring the apple. He had no interest in the mini auction. Just hand him the coins directly in the end.

"Hey, newbie! Why didn't you bid for any items? It's d*mn cheaper when you buy from your friends. And you get a portion of the money back. You should like that." Jack asked. He was truly magnimious, forgiving Artha for dissing him.

" Nah! I'm good, Jack. Have already ordered some items to upgrade. It's just the other party was already in dungeon so I didn't get it. Don't want to waste coins by buying twice."

Before Jack could come up with something, Sela came. She handed over remaining items. It's better for Artha to sell. He could get better coins or credits. Only guilds would collect such low level items for their next bunch of players.

Sela said, " We shall decide coins division later on, after facing the elite monsters. Now, we are following tried and tested path. This has minimum of three elites. We may die at any point. So look sharp people and focus only on the game. Now, let's move."

The first elite bunny was just the appetizer. The next turn in the dungeon had two of them.

A few mana ball blasts, a sunbeam and the bunny conked out. Artha was grinning madly. If his thoughts and calculations were right....

"Why is he grinning like that?"

"Because he's an idiot!"

"Relax! He's just a noob. Never looted from the corpse. Didn't you hear him about frisking the monster?"

"More like caressing! He now looks like a psychopath looking at person he wants to torture."

" Glad I don't have to face him in real life!" Someone shuddered. Most of them played games to relieve the stress from day to day life. Having a psychopath teammate is so not in the bucket list of things to fulfill. Even if the said psychopath teammate was in just a game. It was disturbing at so many levels.

Artha was not looking at the monster that way. He was thinking from where to extract loots. From head? Chest? Abdomen? He could not decide. So he decided to go head to toe. Head first, then chest, then abdomen.

Top of the luck today! He had to think like that. He got a skill at the inn. Now this!

It was basic skill book. 'Fast foward', movement arts. Increase the movement speed by 1% for 10 seconds for 20MP. Cooldown -5 minutes. The skill was useless now. No one had 20 MP to waste, just to run a bit faster. But later...yeah. they would have that much MP. To top it off, the effect was in percentage. So the effect in later parts of the game would be jaw dropping. And when the skill was maximized, the effect would be even more incredible. And he got 50 copies of the skill book. He was set for life.

Next chest. A plate armour. 75 copies.

Abdomen - a equipment, graves. But look at the level, the stats. And the multiplication factor.

He can just close the day and count credits with the amount of items he got from this dungeon raid.

Maybe he should try to increase the tier or rarity of the item next time. But he didn't get such option when he got the items directly from the game. Only when he was multiplying manually, he could choose quality or quantity. Oh, bugger!
