Chapter 47

{Hours before the events between the Alliance Army and the Demon Army at Katze Plains}

The Dwarven Kingdom wasn't particularly large. It only consisted of a portion of the Azerlisia Mountains after all.

It's not like the mountain range was small at all, or that the mountains in it weren't giants.

However, compared to what was once Re-Estize or the Baharuth Empire, the Dwarven Kingdom was a very small nation.

Even with over 200 years of history, the Dwarves never sought out much territory anyway. Mainly because of the dangers they cohabited with in the Azerlisia Mountains. Frost Giants, Frost Dragons, Rock Devouring Worms, etc.

And getting out of the underground safety was a big no-no, even when they had to constantly fight the Quagoa.

Not for nothing did they only consist of 4 cities.

However, that was a thing of the past.

After all, SHE did come. The Paladin of White, the heroine of the Dwarves.

She defeated the Quagoa and made them her subordinates, later liberating the ancient capital of the Dwarves from the Frost Dragons and also taming said creatures for her own use.

And as much as she could have easily conquered and enslaved the Dwarves, she did not, instead giving them back their autonomy in exchange for practically vassalage, which was not so bad considering how well Deorum Regnum treated them.

It was not easy to repopulate 4 Cities in just a few years when they were barely piled into 1 for years, not to say decades considering that two cities were abandoned for so long.

And while the Quagoa were no longer an obstacle, they were not going to allow them to coexist with them so easily after so many years of war and slaughter between them.

That is why the Dwarves, at the suggestion of Deorum Regnum, and with the help of the same country, began to expand a little, building a fifth city, a new one for the first time in centuries.

How were they going to populate it? They wouldn't.

While there was no other way to define it as anything other than racial segregation, there was no other way. For it was a city made for the Quagoa and only the Quagoa to inhabit.

Deorum Regnum was a tolerant country with different species, but even then, Black Abyss and Dont understood perfectly that they could not force the Quagoa and the Dwarves to live side by side, at least not without a kind of separation that slowly, over time, begins to degrade until they can finally relate to each other and live in peace.

It was like mixing the few remaining Nazis with the Jews rescued from the extermination camps 1 week after World War II.

It was simply illogical!

Of course, not all Quagoa would live in that new city. Deorum Regnum still had the foot of the mountain and other areas. And likewise, the Myconids would also be integrated along with the Dwarves, a race that was neutral towards them, and had no reason to be so separated.

The Ice Giants and Frost Dragons were another matter, since they did not even enter the tunnels.

Likewise, since it was Deorum Regnum's total responsibility to protect its vassals, the Dwarven Kingdom was quite populated with some guards in the form of Golems and Fairies.

Such security was implemented in small quantities at the beginning, was increased by 50% after the… ahem, 'collapse of the Great Rift', and then increased to 100% after the matter of the destruction of Re-Estize.

And as was evident and very efficient, the Dwarf Kingdom had a high amount of Undead granted by Titania to mine for the Dwarves, while they took care of other things.

And with the appearance of guests who had no need to know about the Undead, all of the latter were sent to mine in the deepest and most hidden part of the caves for a long time.

"Tch, this place stinks." A handsome, blond man with a huge sword on his back grumbled.

"Ugh, you've been complaining since before you even left the Theocracy." A girl spat irritated by said man's complaint.

"Guys… Please don't fight…" A blonde asked kindly while looking tired of doing so…

Black Abyss sweated with her own annoyance starting to increase as she advanced through the underground tunnel that would take them from Feo Jera to what was now the territory of the Komodo Demon Empire.

After all, she had been listening to the complaints, insults, and other stupid things coming from the idiot that was the 6th Seat of the Black Scripture.

And she couldn't say anything better about her partner, Elise, or rather, Alicia, who although she looked like she was about to cry, Black Abyss knew better than anyone that she was one or two more complaints away from throwing away her disguise and disemboweling the human in these tunnels.

Even being an Undead, such was the level of annoyingness of the 6th Seat. He had called himself something like… Luhcrius Lacriarte Phollux…

Although being such a complicated name, coming from such an unpleasant person, Black Abyss threw away most of the memory of the guy's name, and renamed him Lucius and nothing else.

Either way, strangely, this was bringing her a little closer to the Black Scripture… Although in a very small way, since now, they were being partners in putting up with Lucius…

The 11th Seat kept responding to the 6th, while the 4th Seat tried to calm them both down…

On the other hand, the 12th Seat had melted into the shadows, the 10th Seat was too much of a muscle head to even bother with this… Or at least he didn't seem like it… The 9th Seat stood in a serene silence alongside the 3rd Seat… With the 5th and 2nd Seats sighing for the nineteenth time in the entire trip.

On the other hand, the Captain of the Black Scripture had stood ahead of the group, as if he wanted to be the tank for some reason when Titania was there… Though more than anything, it was because he was the only one who looked at the map…

It's not like Black Abyss didn't know the way… Well, she'd never really seen it, but she had some hidden Angels guiding her.

Don't look at her like that! Not even Elise knew!

"Your friend sure has little patience, huh." An additional voice, not coming from any member of the Black Scripture, came from one side of Black Abyss.

The man had been standing a bit on the sidelines, but he suddenly made a quick advance to catch up with Titania, speaking towards Titania as if he wanted to break the ice a bit and have a conversation that would distract him.

"Well, we don't really know each other that well. But I agree…" Black Abyss let out a droplet on her forehead as she listened to more of such conversation behind her… "How are you feeling, Brain? I doubt it will be long." She asked towards the man.

"Well… It's certainly an experience to be surrounded by so many powerful people~ Haha~" The blue-haired man laughed a bit. "However, a bit anxious about what we might encounter… Still, the familiarity with the caves is helping me a bit~"

"I understand you, but you're here because you're powerful too. I couldn't really tell you who could come out unscathed from that attack you used against me earlier. Stay alert and nothing should happen." Black Abyss said, she could actually name many beings capable of resisting such an attack, but they were directly from Titania, or Riku and the strongest of this New World, so it was quite a lot to say, it would serve to reassure him.

"Haha~ I'm glad to hear it from a woman powerful enough to put Komodo itself in trouble~" The former mercenary smiled with amusement, as well as some appreciation for Titania's words.

Black Abyss gave Brain a smile. Even though it was one of her missions to wipe out most of Titania's potential enemies, she didn't see Brain as someone who could put Titania's dominance at risk, with all due respect to his level that he achieved with great effort.

Still, killing him would be something that Climb wouldn't like, and he wouldn't know how Renner would react to that. They had an agreement and she was loyal to Titania on the condition of having Climb. Still, what if the boy wanted to go to a future war later due to Brain's lack as a master...? Ha… What trouble she was in now…

The Paladin sighed internally, remembering what Dont told her about what Bachelory told her about Renner.

She was brilliant, very intelligent and cunning, to the point of being able to even rival the great minds of Titania like Bachelory himself…

That is why the princess quickly earned her place as a duchess in Deorum Regnum. Not only was she a valuable political asset, but a sign that the marble country was receptive to anyone in distress, that it did not discriminate, even against old enemies. Likewise, it also greatly helped the loyalty and will of the survivors of Re-Estize, as few as they are.

And again, Deorum Regnum needed landowners to better manage the entire expanse of territory they had.

After all, they couldn't just do something like send Lord Magister to Deorum Regnum and leave Titania without management.

And even Elder Liches and similar intelligent creatures had their limits of usefulness.

Besides, they were already doing too much with having Mimosa be a teacher for summons and even for Renner for them to learn about general and mainly financial management, especially in the Deorum Regnum territory, since it's not like Renner herself hasn't been educated in that area being how smart she was...

However, she was still an amateur when it came to the ability of Black Abyss's NPC~ After all, when it came to finances, she was the best in Titania, but that was precisely why they weren't going to take her out of Titania to work in Deorum Regnum, she would only give quick teaching.

With Renner becoming so important in that sense, and Climb being the only anchor of her in Deorum Regnum without needing to use unpleasant means to control her, and Brain being the last pillar of Climb that kept him out of the direct danger of the war after Gazef's death, then she should keep him alive for the good of the cause.

Still, the same could not be said for the others around her, except for the Dwarves. What's more, the more of the Theocracy that died, the better, as they were one of the greatest threats that Titania was targeting for the possible possession of World Class Items, like the one Dont once encountered, but it didn't work against her because she had one in her inventory.

That was the reason why she would definitely carry the Easter Egg, and Bachelory and Achernar would have their own as well, as well as Superbia in Deorum Regnum, due to the importance she represented to the world. They couldn't risk an attack behind their ranks.

And if there was no World Item left on Titania, it didn't matter, the one sleeping under all of its floors would be deployed along with Titania's entire army if she needed to be protected, and everyone outside would go straight there instantly, even if it ruined the plan completely. They weren't going to risk anyone important on this day, or at least not more than necessary and safe.

Even Betelgeuse wasn't allowed to die.

She heard a sob from Elise at another of the 6th Seat's moans, making Titania roll her eyes.

"6th, shut up." For the first time in a while, the Captain spoke.

"Tch." Fortunately, this was enough to get the blond to shut his mouth, earning a few relieved sighs from more than one.

"Miss Titania." Another voice called from behind, and Brain, seeing this, smiled, and stepped away, giving room and privacy.

The gorgeous Angel looked back, seeing… Mm… What was her name…? She only remembered that she was the 2nd Seat and her title was something like White Orchid…

What does it matter, she would call her that, it even sounded respectful.

"White Orchid. How can I help you?" She asked towards it, not looking too distracted by the long, annoyed faces of the others behind her.

"I just wanted to apologize for… Hm… The discordance between your team and ours…" The purple-haired woman sighed, holding her magic staff tightly…

Yes… The dovey knew what she was referring to…

If one believed that this was only Black Abyss' second interaction with the Black Scripture not counting their first secret contact and the meeting of nations in Katze, they would be more than wrong.

They had met more than once, especially before leaving for the Dwarven Kingdom…

The Paladin could only groan in annoyance as she recalled what it was like to avoid crushing that blond moron's head in her hands for treating one of Titania's maids so badly, or even the maids who were not from Titania and were just doing their job as maids of the Adventurer's mansion…

Not to mention the amount of reports of racism she received from different entities of Deorum Regnum with the blond involved, or any of the elite escorts of the Theocracy…

And that was before she had even heard or read about the situation between the armies of Deorum Regnum and the Theocracy yet… Which should be about to fight against an army of Demons right now if she calculated correctly.

"Ah… It's fine, I understand that the difference in religion and thought can cause such a thing. I just hope that such members of your team understand who the real enemy is, Miss Orchid." Black Abyss muttered, putting on a worried face, though she was only doing it for drama. After all, concern for the greater good always looked good.

"Of course… While the 6th Seat may be… Very intolerant, I assure you that he will not interfere with our mission, Miss Titania… After all, this is an urgency to such a level, that even the Theocracy has agreed to ally with a multiracial country like yours, and with the Argland Council itself." The mage sighed, glancing sideways at the rest of her team. "As for the others… I can say, even though I am a new member not long before you, they will take the mission seriously and keep their opinions as something secondary to their duty, so they will not cause any trouble. So I ask that you just… Tolerate the 6th Seat for the time left…"

Black Abyss let out a light laugh, putting her hand on the girl's shoulder.

"It's okay~ It's not a major bother, I've dealt with worse things~" The dovey exclaimed, patting her on the shoulder to make her relax. She certainly dealt with worse things in Yggdrasil, where racism could come from anywhere.

No shit, even a Toad Man had mocked her for being tall in game parameters. What was the point? She didn't know, but he did mock her. Obviously she stepped on him, but it was bait and she released her special ability, although that was another topic.

The woman froze for a moment, but smiled kindly at the Paladin.

"I really appreciate it, Miss Titania~" She said with genuine gratitude, only to look back, seeing how 11th was quietly complaining to 9th out of 10th… Who looked like he was about to get upset and propose some arm wrestling to see who was right… "Ugh… Excuse me a moment…" She grumbled. "You 3…"

The Paladin shook her head in amusement at how, even among elite people like this, who should be her enemies, there were antics like this even in the most serious of moments.

It reminded her of… Well… Yggdrasil, when the entire Guild was at its peak…

How fun it was to watch them fight each other~ She even missed how they laughed at each other, or at herself when something happened~

When she stepped on that Toad Man and appeared at the spawn, they laughed their heads off after knowing what happened~ And despite the embarrassment of the moment, it was fun to remember it~

Or the jokes they played on each other~ Like when they locked Dont in a vehicle and sent her to the entrance of the nearest enemy guild with a bomb~ She killed 3 by accident~

Or when the fucking Jamon was soloed by a level 1 Kitsune who found a WCI in a bush~ It was a whole day of mockery knowing what happened to the World Champion~

However, her slight bitter joy at the melancholy of the memories was ruined by an unpleasant feeling of… Almost abandonment and resentment. The way the members were slowly leaving… However, she knew that was just her altered personality from being an Angel Paladin with 500 Karma. She felt like they failed in their duty, that they abandoned her, when that wasn't the case.

Even outside of the game she had kept in touch with a couple in other games or through chats.

They simply had lives, or stopped having fun with Yggdrasil…

And even asking them to stay until the end of the game was a lot… And it was impossible to predict that they would be transported to this world anyway.

Still, the thought that she would never be able to see them again… Not to mention her family… The one she also wouldn't be able to see again…

She had talked about this with Dont… Several times… However, even now, it left her in an unpleasant state if she thought about it too much…

And added to the scene of… Camaraderie between the members of the Black Scripture… Well, it left her with a bitter feeling that made her sigh. She was almost tempted to use [Message] and talk a little with her beloved Demon to calm herself down…

However, based on her summoned Angels not far ahead, the 'meeting' point was very close.

She shook her head, pushing away those annoying thoughts, and glanced at Alice out of the corner of her eye, who only blinked twice in confirmation.

"Mr. Seraiah, how much further?" Black Abyss asked with some false anxiety.

After all, they had been walking for a long time.

"According to my calculations, we should encounter an intersection a few meters away… Ah." He blurted out when, indeed, the path split into 3 tunnels. "In the middle." He said instantly, and began walking.

Black Abyss gave a fist up to herself, as that was the right path~

It would be troublesome if they went into a Rock Devouring Worm nest or turned around and came out near the top of the mountain…

"Captain, should I send some creatures to check the way?" The 5th Seat asked from behind.

The androgynous guy glanced at him, and nodded.

At this, the 5th Seat reached out a hand back, grabbing some sort of small blue crystal…

Black Abyss quickly identified it… It was a low-level Sealing Crystal…

The blond man unpleasantly similar to Clementine reached out his hand, and the crystal let out a flash, causing a series of… Moonlight Wolves? to appear…

These beasts were monsters from Yggdrasil… Not high-level ones… In fact, they were only level 20…

But still, they were from Yggdrasil… Where did he get them from…? She was sure that no one, or almost no one who isn't from Titania, could summon creatures from Yggdrasil. So... Dont's theory about Players before them was getting more and more right...

The Moonlight Wolves looked towards the 5th Seat, only for him to extend a hand, pointing towards the tunnel they had to go through.

"Go several meters ahead of us and scout the way. If the path is blocked, turn back." He gave the order to the summons.

At this, the wolves gave low growls of affirmation, and quickly began to run with agility and grace through the cave.

The pale light they emitted was visible, and illuminated where they passed even if only dimly.

Until they went so deep that their light was not visible.

"Just a little further and we can keep up with them." Quaiesse explained with a polite smile.

"Good. Stay alert. There have been no reports of attempted invasions by the Demons into the Azerlisia Mountains, but do not be overconfident. As soon as we leave the territory of the Dwarven Kingdom into the mountains, we could be greeted by countless Demons. Not to mention the monsters of the mountains." The Captain said firmly, earning firm nods from the Black Scripture.

Brain just smiled and nodded, while Elise refused to give him an answer other than sobbing.

Black Abyss hummed, glancing slightly sideways at the Black Scripture members…

Not without a reason. Rather, she was perhaps making some calculations based on what she knew of them.

More like she was betting for herself who would die.

With that said, they advanced through the dark tunnels after a few more seconds, returning to the tiring routine from a few hours ago of simply walking and tolerating each other on these narrow paths.

However, Quaiesse stopped at some point.

And with that, the Captain stopped, also causing the entire group to stop.

"5th, what's wrong?" He asked seriously.

"The Wolves died." He explained neutrally, looking ahead.

"… Can you tell the cause?" The captain asked again, as some tension began to build in the group.

Brain almost directly placed a hand on his katana at his waist.

On the contrary, Elise froze, almost as if she was about to cry… Like, nothing new.

"No. I can only say that they died instantly." The blond sighed.

"Then there is something dangerous out there. Shall I go?" Titania asked, looking at the captain of the order.

"We will all go." The 10th Seat said firmly and bravely as he took a step forward.

"Where was the Extra Seat again?" The blond paladin grumbled.

"Didn't you listen to the Cardinals, idiot? She will stay in reserve behind us in case something goes wrong with us and she can deal with whatever we get away with or what we weaken." The 11th Seat spat angrily.

"Tch, then let the here- Ugh, Miss Titania go in front. She's good at blocking things, isn't she?" The 6th Seat threw away in annoyance.

Black Abyss almost told him that she will go in front, though using him as a shield, but she held back.

"Well, you're right anyway. I'm the best here at defensive matters. For safety reasons, I'll be in the front." Titania exclaimed, walking forward.

"… Well, there are no forks in the tunnel anyway. Miss Titania, I'll entrust you with the front row." Seraiah nodded towards the Paladin.

Titania nodded towards him with a smile, going in front of him and the entire group, with Elise looking at her somewhat sadly but worriedly as well.

"Anyway, the Moonlight Wolves aren't particularly strong, so it could very well have been a Rock-Eating Worm that got lost, or something like that." Quaiesse said from the side. "But if it's something worse… I don't think I can be of much help other than giving some potions from behind." The blond sighed.

He was a summoner and a Tamer after all, and everything he brought with him wasn't particularly useful in such tight environments…

"Miss Titania… Is something wrong…?" Elise asked sadly and almost whimpering, falsely looking worried, while Titania looked up and then to her sides.

"I don't know… I have a bad feeling…" The Paladin muttered… Although said feeling was literally knowing what was about to happen in… If she remembered correctly… In a few seconds…

Thus, she took out her sword and put on her usual show, beginning to shine.

"Great Onyx, Great Mobius… Give me your power to protect those behind me. I stand before you for a new battle. I cry and pray for you, My Saviors." She exclaimed, suddenly shining brightly, with her divine equipment appearing, like a work of the greatest magic, and most beautiful. After all, for those of the New World, that was her talent, but adding that religious touch was cool~ Even if she was praying to herself… And well, to Dont~ "Please, give me your bene-!"

However, her prayer was interrupted by an intense sound, accompanied by a tremor so powerful, it made even the Captain stagger, shaking the entire tunnel back and forth as small stones fell off the ceiling.

Wah… Just when she got to the best part…

An intense shockwave came from the back of the cave, sending hot air towards the group.

There was no weapon that was not drawn. Especially Black Abyss. It was show time~

She put her Divine Shield forward, seeing a sudden crack appear on the ceiling and walls, with a bright, intense red light coming out of them.

"Elise, defensive spells!" She blurted out. Sure, it wasn't Alicia's specialization, but as Elise, she was her support, so she should keep such things in perspective of others.

"[Magic Shield]!" The disguised Undead chanted, to which a greenish magic shield appeared in front of her after she placed herself between the members of the Scripture.

After a few seconds, everything turned into a mix of fire and smoke followed by a massive explosive sound.

"Cough cough!" Brain coughed after a few seconds as he stood up from the ground, pushing the dust in front of his face away as a high-pitched ringing sounded in his ears.

He looked around, locating the sword that was given to him by Titania, and quickly grabbed it, before standing up in a hurry.

Elise was lying on the side, or rather, she had collapsed, having been caught by White Orchid.

The 3rd Seat was getting up with the help of the 6th Seat, with both of them coughing, while the 10th Seat, held the 11th Seat with one arm, helping her up, while the Captain stood up alone behind Titania.

The 5th, 4th, and 9th Seats had, thankfully, been untouched, with the 9th Seat having stepped between the explosion and the pair of blondes who had been bringing up the rear. Of course, said feat of blocking the explosion was not done by the 9th Seat alone, but two pairs of metal arms from her magic armor were placed in an X-shape in front of the warrior nun.

"[Healing Field]" Titania's voice echoed, with the ground glowing in an ascending green color, healing everyone from any damage received. They were minimal, therefore, she did not use a healing skill higher than level 6. It was like casting a simple [Heal] in an area but slightly less efficient by 25%.

Also, she did not want to use some kind of very strong positive energy, as even that spell was already making Alice uncomfortable, as being an Undead, positive energy was harmful to her.

For the sake of the group, she had taken the brunt of the impact, with her shield deflecting most of the fire around… And yet, the temperature had caused many rocks to be red hot, and the place that was a narrow tunnel initially was now…

"W-What was that…?" The 11th Seat coughed, climbing down from the arms of the serious-looking 10th Seat.

"A spell, no, several…" Titania exclaimed, the dust was still in the air, so several of them wouldn't be able to see what had caused such a thing, yet to her it was something else…

The Captain of the Black Scripture slightly opened his eyes, and hissed seriously.

"Damn."

And so, Titania stood in front of the group.

"[Positive Impact Shield]!" She shouted, a white aura appearing around her and starting to head towards her.

And then.

"[Greater Explosion]" A voice could be heard through the dust and the sound of falling rocks.

And a second later, a powerful explosion happened.

However, instead of causing a massive explosion that would devour everyone present, the explosion strangely focused on Titania's shield, releasing insane amounts of black dust and fire in the opposite direction as a shockwave was released towards the Paladin's sides.

However, receiving an explosion head on, especially one that was level 7, was quite a pain for the dovey. So to speak.

Taking the full explosive push of the level 7 spell, Black Abyss grunted as she was suddenly pushed down by the blast.

However, instead of falling, the ground directly gave way to her unmovable stance, especially due to its enormous resistance to the push, and she was literally buried under the ground that cracked noticeably around the small hole that was the Angel's 'grave'.

{Present, at the war between the Alliance Army and the Demon Army in Katze Plains}

Titania's Commander Miia, as well as her faithful companion, Echidna, fought tooth and nail against the Evil Lord of Wrath…

Or so it seemed at least.

Actually, Echidna and Miia were letting themselves get beaten up a bit by the Demon who wasn't even trying to hurt them.

The Lord of Wrath was throwing out a fireball so big and bright that it looked like a small sun? It was just a [Greater Fireball] boosted by a spell that enhances fire damage, and even then, it was only a measly 2% of Echidna's HP if she took it full force.

A series of solid light arrows shot out from Miia's bow at high speed, shallowly piercing the Wrath Lord's skin, with him roaring in false fury and releasing a raging fire that made said arrows disappear.

It's not that Miia couldn't open a hole in the Demon's torso, it's just that she used mid-level arrows with no bonuses.

It was quite a spectacle.

However, for what was just some sort of scene of two adults playing with a child, for the combined armies, or more specifically, the Theocracy's army, this was Hell on Earth.

Demons charged into their ranks, tearing their comrades to pieces, setting them on fire, crushing them, impaling them. Laughter, roars, and explosions filled every place.

And not only that, their commander was 'losing', while the army itself was being overwhelmed by Demons coming from the front, from above, and even from within their own ranks below.

It was a massacre where the humans, and Fairies and some other races that were part of Titania's army, were barely holding on thanks to the technology and equipment of Deorum Regnum.

A Frost Dragon flew over the battlefield, firing its breath at everything below it and leaving a massive wall of icy wind wherever it passed, with everything it hit being quickly frozen by the colossally low temperatures.

Not content with that, on its back, Fairies had their hands shining in dry ice, before raising one of them and slamming it forward, with that liquid coming out like a hose, before hitting the ground and causing strong explosions of ice, similar to napalm, which jumped and stuck to any surface, but in reverse, incessantly freezing the enemy lines, shot after shot, creating chaos throughout the Demon army.

The war machines brought by the Theocracy aimed at the largest Demons, firing huge arrows at it, in rapid succession. Yet, suddenly everything ignited in scorching fire above the war machines, with a Demonic Dragon appearing. The Frost Dragon roared upon noticing the presence of the creature that had arrived from the sky, hiding from everyone present, and attacking from behind.

Thus, both Dragons collided, falling to the ground and causing large explosions of steam and smoke, leaving violent trails of fire and ice on the ground, beginning to bite and try to tear each other apart.

A blow from Echidna resounded. Looking towards the impact, she struck her spear at the Evil Lord, but it had been a blow with all her might.

The blow was so strong that it caused the ground to slide, creating a separation of the earth and rock beneath it, making the ground almost seem like sand for miles around, while her blow raised a gigantic cloud of dust and rocks and launched Demons and even some soldiers of the Alliance army into the air and crushed other Demons.

However, a beam of burning plasma shot out from the massive crater that Echidna created using the Lord of Wrath, with the mechanical armor taking the full impact and being sent skyward until it disappeared among the dark clouds of power.

However, Miia did not stand by and did nothing, firing burst after burst of light arrows that ended in explosions towards said crater.

It was a true battle of good and evil… And yet, mortals could only watch as they battled against the endless hordes of Demons…

As if replicating the weapons of humans, Demons began to grab smaller Demons, and began to throw them through the air towards the army, throwing Imps, Hellhounds, and other low-ranking, but still annoying and deadly Demons into the ranks of the army.

Even if they managed to win this fight, the casualties would be massive on both sides…

The theocrats even began to wonder how badly the other half of the Deorum Regnum army in the north was doing… And even the Council army…

The Lord of Wrath roared as, at some point, it soared at high speed towards Miia, only to be intercepted by Echidna and start to have a tussle… And with the roar, an explosion of raging flames pushed the armor back, only to point to the sky and chant something…

And a few moments later, the ground began to rain down small fireballs… Well, small compared to the catastrophes that were being thrown between Echidna and Miia at the Lord of Wrath…

They were still, each fireball, equivalent to a [Fireball] twice its size…

It just… didn't seem like the Alliance army would have a good time…

Especially with the powerful Demons in armor bursting out of the holes created by the magma-spewing worms, tearing apart dozens of Theocracy soldiers before they, among several Deorum Regnum soldiers, could kill the Demon.

At some point, Echidna was caught by the Lord of Wrath, and was thrown down, crawling while crushing dozens of Demons in her path, to the point of reaching Deorum Regnum's defensive formation, destroying it without resistance, and crushing Alliance soldiers as she continued to crawl.

However, said new gap, of several, in the defensive formation, dozens of Demons got in between the Deorum Regnum soldiers, not only finishing off other Alliance soldiers, but starting to climb on top of Echidna, and hitting her with everything they had. Which wasn't even enough to even break through Echidna's defenses, but the show was there as the armor pretended to be fighting to get the Demons off of it.

Miia was once again alone against the Demon. Things were not looking good…

Until…

Space seemed to break, opening up a dark, no, spatial vortex, as if said portal was a piece of the night sky…

Another portal opened. And another… And another, and a dozen more…

And without even giving a moment to process its appearance, something came out of each portal.

From the portal, no, from each of the dozens of portals that suddenly opened, a creature came out, so that same portal closed and another one opened, with more of the same things coming out of them…

They fell to the ground, each one giving a roar as they barely touched the ground.

These were an amalgam of natural weapons… Shiny black claws of their own edge, with a black exoskeleton over their shiny reddish flesh.

They were quadrupeds, with two more arms coming out of their back, whose spine had four large spikes coming out like reverse claws before their neck, and four more spikes before their tail, which had a solid tip covered with practically metallic spikes…

Their head was very similar to that of a certain Dark Dragon… With dozens of small, pointed and sharp teeth, completely white, having 3 pairs of yellow eyes.

{Weird Savior Thing? PNG}

The dark beasts roared sharply and monstrously, bringing terror and despair to the ranks of the Theocracy soldiers… After all, from their perspective, they were other enemies…

However, another portal opened, one behind them…

And from said portal… A black monster, very similar in appearance to the ones in front, appeared… However, it was longer, larger, and taller, with its head higher…

The monster rose up behind the terrified priests and magic casters, as well as the machinists of the Deorum Regnum and Theocracy weapons…

And it roared sharply and powerfully, as its spines trembled like strange fins while releasing a slightly bluish glow.

At this, the rest of the dark monsters seemed to look in the direction of the largest monster, and roared in response…

And as if it were a very strange dream, the dark beasts that seemed to have been taken from the abyss, began to attack the Demons. Claws, teeth, sharp tails, lunges, and breaths of strange darkness were unleashed upon the surprised Demons, destroying them with greater speed and efficiency than even Deorum Regnum's weapons…

An armored Demon swung his spear at one of the beasts, stabbing the spear into the eye of an unsuspecting beast.

However, the beast roared as it grabbed the spear, pulling it towards it and drawing the Demon in, only to catch it in its jaws and tear it apart right there.

The monsters ran with overwhelming speed, destroying Demon after Demon, without a single casualty other than wounds, which were healed with surprising speed.

As more attacked… The Alliance soldiers witnessed how… The dark monsters' attacks were becoming more and more effective. It was especially noticeable on the giant Demons, who were among the most resilient.

And if one looked closely, they could see the white aura around the claws and teeth of the dark monsters…

With monsters destroying the Demons above her, Echidna was free, and with an upward thrust, she located the Lord of Wrath, who was causing explosions with his fists as he chased after Miia.

The armor, as if having had enough, cracked open a bit in some areas, and a bunch of steam was released under pressure, only for Echidna to return to how she was before, grab her spear out of nowhere, and charge at full speed towards the Demon.

The Lord of Wrath roared with fake fury, throwing blow after blow, deliberately missing as he chased after the Commander.

Said Commander had already made him lose an eye with an arrow, causing him to become semi-blind. However, to an outsider, the situation did not seem favorable for the archer.

Suddenly, Miia leapt forward, passing through the Lord of Wrath's hands, and stepped on his face, only to use him as a platform to do a backflip, and in the process, she drew her bow.

"It's over!" She shouted loudly, as if for the entire Alliance army to hear.

"ROOOAAAAAGGGHHHHH!" The level 80 Demon roared furiously in response, releasing a powerful aura of fire as it prepared a breath towards the archer in the air…

However, said breath was interrupted by an overwhelming sound of air exploding from the pressure, and flesh being pierced. The Lord of Wrath looked down, seeing the tip of a silver spear sprout from his chest…

He gritted his teeth, reaching out a hand to grab said spear… However, around said artifact, a hurricane wind began to appear, creating a powerful spear of whitish and sharp wind that spun like a drill inside the demonic monster, making it roar in pain as wind blades were launched in all directions, cutting Demons below it and creating cuts in the clouds in the sky…

The Evil Lord of Wrath vomited a lot of blood in the form of boiling magma in a deep red color… He was not dead yet…

However, a light came from Miia…

The Demon looked towards the archer, only to see how her bow, drawn to the maximum, possessed a thick arrow of light, whose presence alone rivaled the hurricane wind around Echidna's spear, who grabbed the Evil Lord with her other hand to prevent him from escaping. He roared, furious and helpless as he tried to writhe, cursing as he released aura after burst of fire, with Echidna not immune…

"Die, Demon…" Miia blurted out, causing the Lord of Wrath to look at her…

"…Long… Live… KOMODO!" The Demon roared with his final words, only for Miia to look at him indifferently in the space of a second.

"[Stelar Arrow]!" The Fairy shouted, and released her bowstring.

If one ever saw a shooting star, then this would be a familiar sight, and for those who had never seen one, this would be their first time seeing it.

After all, the arrow of bright, intense white light shot towards the Lord of Wrath, piercing through his head without difficulty, and passing over the horizon while leaving a trail of bright light, like a beacon, a star.

Tense silence fell as that happened for a few seconds, before the Alliance soldiers began to scream.

Not in terror like before.

In hope. In determination. In cheering.

Even the Theocracy soldiers began to cheer for the Commander…

The corpse of the Lord of Wrath began to glow brightly, furiously, alight with flames…

At this, Echidna quickly threw the sturdy body back, towards a pile of Demons…

And a moment later, where the corpse fell, a massive explosion rose up.

An explosion so bright, so powerful…

However, before said explosion had its shockwave, its explosive damage, and anything else, reaching the Alliance army, Echidna raised her scale.

The explosion so brutal that it quickly began to form a mushroom cloud towards the sky amidst violent red fire, it stopped.

It did not go beyond Echidna as her scale let out a faint flash.

And seeing the Commander's feat, once again, came the cheers.

However, the battle was far from over, because although the explosion itself had damaged and even killed hundreds of Demons before being neutralized, there were still thousands more.

However, everyone knew it. They knew it by seeing how the Commander climbed onto Echidna, and began to shoot arrow after arrow into the enemy ranks.

The battle was decided.

Humanity- No, the world had triumphed in this battle of many against the Demons… Even if they had to use monsters to do so…
