HECTIC TRAINING II

[Second tip: Knee strikes - You likely won't be throwing many kicks when in close combat. You can always strike with your knees when an opponent is nearby. Watch me closely. Do you get it? Don't worry, I will repeat it till you get it. Good. You learn quickly.

Knee strikes can be accurate and powerful, and there are plenty of places where you can hit the attacker.

As you strike with your knees, you can do severe damage to the foe's face, head, body, and legs. This can include attacks ranging from horizontal knee strikes to devastating flying knees.]

"Tutor, are there specific joints to target? I need the quickest way to defeat the enemy."

[Yes, dear, that is a good question. There are, but such training is included in the pro training package. You will have to extensively study the anatomy of various species and races. Okay, back to my training.]

[Third tip: Elbow strikes - The human body has been retrofitted with two built-in weapons about halfway down your arms. When your arm is bent inward, your elbows become sharp daggers that can easily slice and slash at an opponent. Even someone who isn't particularly strong can cause some serious damage if they know how to use their elbows.

Using elbow strikes is one of the most common and also one of the fastest attacks you can use when in close combat. You'll always want to make sure your hand and shoulder are loose any time you throw them to make the attack as effective as possible.

I have a few of the best types of elbow strikes you can learn when fighting up close. You should know that elbow strike techniques are designed to be quick and accurate, slicing in multiple directions. Any time you're using one of these methods, it's important to hit your opponent with the strong, sharp point of your elbow to be as effective as possible. Just watch closely as I practice. Tag along to grab the trick.]

["Aha! This practice would have been perfect if the difficulty is a level high for my host."] Since her teacher acted on the recommendation, Arvina caused Ariel Sebastian more suffering during her training.

[Over to the next lesson. Snap elbow—the equivalent of a hook with your lead hand. To throw a snap elbow, loosen up your front hand and shoulder, curl your forearm tight to your biceps, and slice your elbow horizontally across your body.

If you're slightly out of range for an elbow strike, you can always add a quick step forward while throwing this attack to get closer.]

[The next practice is the cross elbow - Watch closely, dear. You follow the same technique as with the snap elbow but on the other side. Loosen up your backhand and shoulder, curl your rear forearm tightly to your biceps, and slice your elbow horizontally across your body while also stepping forward.

It's more common to include the step in this elbow strike because of the additional distance needed to reach your opponent. You'll need to take a quick step forward while throwing the elbow to close the gap.]

[Hnmm! Good, you are fast at learning. Let's move on to the next practice.]

[That will be... Up elbow - This is my favorite finishing. This will help you send the unlucky enemy flying straight up in the sky. An uppercut can be one of the most devastating punches you can throw in a fight. When used properly, an upward elbow can have a crazy effect. An uppercut is meant to slice through the middle of your opponent's guard; these elbow strikes can be thrown to your opponent's head, chest, gut, or chin, depending on your placement.

If you want to use an up elbow, step forward with your lead leg and swing your front elbow in an upward motion, keeping your lead hand near your face.

The movement of this elbow strike is similar to combing the hair back on the side of your head.]

["Tutor, you are too soft on our girl. Add more energy. I suggest Ariel should by default be the practice dummy."]

"You CRUEL B*TCH... I recall being on good terms. Why pit me?" Ariel Sebastian was fuming.

[Haha, sugar. She is trying to help. I will go with her suggestions.]

[Finally, the down elbow - The down elbow is the only strike on this list that has a bit of a wind-up before you throw it, which also gives it more power. This is meant to allow you to swing your elbow up and over to hit your opponent cleanly.

To throw a down elbow, pull your rear shoulder back slightly so your hands are even with each other, almost as though you could hold a straight stick between them. Swing your elbow slightly above your shoulder and then in a downward motion across your body.]

[No-no, you are not getting it. Let's move over to the practical block. I have some moves to show you.]

[Have you seen the moves? Practice those skills first.]

[I will conjure a training dummy.]

["Conjure a battalion. If she messes up, she will be beaten blue-black."]

'Sobs'

"Why?! Can't you tell me my wrongs, Arvina?"

Shua~

Training dummies filled the training center.

[Okay, done. Don't forget to always keep your guard up when striking with elbows because you'll be in close range any time you use them. This will keep you protected and allow you to get away quickly if your opponent tries to counter.]

----

72 hours later, in the V01D training center (VTC),

Ariel Sebastian was dripping wet from sweat. She was in a terrible state. To add salt to her injury. Arvina enjoys mocking her occasionally.

["My grandma can do better than this crap you are displaying."]

'Fumes'

Smoke billows from Ariel Sebastian's ears.

"Arvina, if you don't keep quiet. I swear before man and God, I will master the art of cannibalism. I don't care if you are an energy life form. I will drink your blood and eat your flesh. Use your spine to make a whip artifact."

["See, you have a lot of energy to continue. Let go... 1, 2,... Snap elbow, cross elbow, up elbow, down elbow."]

[Hahaha] Avery Bryn's laughter fills the whole training center.

Finally, Ariel Sebastian found her redeemer. A system notification.

[System Alert: You have achieved the threshold for LINE I training. Practice the processes 10,000 times to achieve the initial threshold.

Process: 5223/10,000

Completion rate: 5%.

Time remaining: 58 hours, 19 minutes, 12 seconds / 2.5 days to leave.]

"Hahaha. What cannot kill me will make me stronger," Ariel Sebastian proudly proclaimed.

[Good, good, good... You are good. I have fallen in love with you. Let's use the remaining two and a half days to rush over the rest of the lessons. Perhaps you might solidify the threshold. Laying a solid foundation in the mastery of LINE.]

[Fourth tip: Punches - Along with throwing knees and elbows, your fists are yet another piece of equipment you can use while doing close combat training. The nice thing is that, with all the different ways to throw a punch, you have a variety of options for where to hit your opponent.

Punches can be thrown to the face, neck, chest, stomach, arms, groin, legs, and more. This opens up the possibility of mixing up the type of punch as well as the placement to keep an attacker off guard and cause them damage in multiple ways.

There are basic punches you should learn for close combat. They include the jab, hook punch, cross punch, and uppercut. Watch closely as I show you. Do you grab anything? Don't worry, I will repeat it. Do you understand? Good, let's roll over.

You need to know that punching without spirit-soul gloves, boxing gloves, or MMA gloves can be painful. Even with the proper technique, throwing a punch will probably hurt your knuckles and last a while. But in a self-defense situation where close combat is necessary, you'll also likely have a good amount of adrenaline pumping through your veins and it won't matter until later.]

[Fifth tip: The last and my special tip. I call it 'play 'em dirty'. Dirty fighting - Any time you find yourself in a position where self-defense is necessary, it isn't about playing fair or following rules. While professional tournaments have standards and regulations that keep fighters from using certain moves and techniques, these don't apply in real-life scenarios.

The most important thing in dirty fighting is using the most effective close combat techniques that will allow you to disable an attacker and get away as quickly as possible. Here are a few things you can do if you ever find yourself in a situation like this:

Eye Gouge: Use your hands or fingers to scratch, punch, and claw at their eyes.

Fish Hook: Putting one or two fingers in your opponent's mouth and pulling hard on their cheeks allows you to control their head and take advantage of other tactics immediately after.

Attack the Groin: Whether it's with your fists, elbows, knees, or feet, this is one of the most sensitive areas of anyone's body, making it an obvious target for dirty fighting.

Go for the Back of Their Head: Strikes to the neck and spine can cause serious injury and instantly disable an opponent.

Throat Punch: This allows you to damage an assailant's windpipe so they can't breathe.

Look closely and learn. I will practice and show you the whole trick, sweetheart. You get it. Now, pick up the mantle and continue the training while I correct your mistakes.]
