The individual stared at Alice and said in an icy voice, "Do you think hope will be enough to defeat me? I savored this spectacle where your determination reached its climax."
Alice un a rage, her teeth biting her lips with deep hatred.
"My goddess offered me her support, why was it powerless? Why... did I sacrifice everything to serve her, Arion, my companions, all this was vain!"
The grip around Alice's neck tightened as the individual brought his face closer to his.
"Your goddess? All the gods you've worshipped for centuries believing they support you have been annihilated by me for a long time."
Despite the pressure on her throat, Alice painfully replied:
"It is impossible, vile monster. The gods created this world and all that inhabits it... they are all-powerful."
After a brief silence, the creature hidden under dark clothing burst out laughing:
"Hahaha! All powerful? They are only weak beings, like you, who ignore what lies beyond what you can understand and perceive. Let me reveal something to you: beyond your world, there are innumerable beings, posing as gods through innumerable planets, and this is repeated through innumerable endless universes, the existence of which you are unaware. They are simply false gods, unaware of the true beings who dominate us, beings beyond all understanding and existence."
Lost in the words of the individual, Alice struggled in a mixture of hatred and anger, her emotions taking over.
"You cannot escape, Alice. I am the Croc-Mitaine, a being who has corrupted thousands of worlds and obliterated countless realities that dared to consider themselves superior. I have come here in search of the sole key to Yamir, hidden since the dawn of all things. With it, I will unlock the Prison of Oblivion, where my master, Vlakar, the very embodiment of despair and agony throughout all existence, is held captive. Through this key, I will finally release him from that space beyond all things, where nonexistence reigns supreme, freeing all the entities, including my master, imprisoned by the one who holds them."
Alice, burning with anger, stared at him defiantly despite the difficulty in speaking.
"One day, someone other than me will defeat you in this world, and you will pay for all your sins... cursed monster," she articulated with difficulty.
With a brutal gesture, he squeezed and crushed Alice's throat, plunging the scene into total silence. Alice's eyes reflected fierce determination even in this desperate situation, or his mind disappeared little by little until it died out.
"One day... that day will be engulfed in total despair, where hope will cease to exist," he murmured, leaving a threatening menace lingering in the air.
