As she arched on the floor, watching her blood drops stain the once so clean tiles, she couldn't help but reminisce about her life. How far could she have fallen that she'd get stricken so ruthlessly by someone as disgusting as him, not even her parents dared to lay a finger on her. She laughed maniacally fueled by resentment for Tony and regrets for Jeremy. Perhaps if she had accepted his proposal, she would have continued to live completely ignorant and blind to his uncle's rotten heart - but she would have been happy at least. Better yet, she shouldn't have listened to the rumours about Jeremy and Linda, 'Ah yes, Linda, it all began with her...'. She cackled even louder, 'if anyone should be suffering, it's her - not Jeremy or me', that's when it hit her. Her grand plan to end both Tony and Linda with a single stone. The plan to turn things around for her and get her revenge on two people responsible for her demise and the torture she's going through.
Annoyed by her sudden hysteria, Tony began pressing on her hand with his black ankle shoe, making her wince in pain, and worsening her vengeance. She had to live, no matter what, she had to live to attend his funeral and spit on his grave.
Feeling the piercing pain emanating from her fingers, "It was Linda," she whimpered. "I think it was her. I heard Jeremy on the phone warning her against doing anything dangerous against you. That's why I think it's her..."
He pressed harder until it felt as if her tiny bones were about crack under his shoe sole making her grimace in pain, "..and you felt it would be wise to emit such crucial information when I asked if I should be worried..", he removed his foot, "You are lucky I have to go. Me and you are not done...not by a long shot."
He fixed his suit, "I am going to kill that spoilt brat, even if it's the last thing I do....she will pay for what she's done to Victoria.", he angrily waltzed out of the office.
Maggie picked herself up from the floor with her hand throbbing in pain, she wiped the blood from her torn lip. Her eyes no longer harboured pain or fear, just resentment, her soul has been darkened with revenge. She no longer wanted to escape or hide, her new mission was to bring him pain - it didn't matter who got hurt in the process, as long as it was not Jeremy, "Tony ought to feel the hell he put me through", she gritted in pain.
Meanwhile, commotion was brewing in the hotel lobby with guests checking out in anger, refusing to be associated with such an establishment. Paparazzi had also begun piling up - waiting for their target, thanks to the anonymous tip they received that he was staying at the hotel. Being associated with the Kings only made matters worse, as soon as Tony appeared, they swarmed him with questions and dozens of flashing lights kept blinding his eyes, "Get your stupid cameras off my face..", he growled but his anger only seemed to escalate the enthusiasm of the journalists.
It took the efforts of all his remaining guards in protecting him. Not only was he confused to see so many journalists at the hotel, he was astonished by the attention he was getting and so his concern for Victoria deepened. He had to get to her even more. He pushed harder through the crowd until he was in his car, "She will pay dearly for this...", he hissed referring to Linda.
The moment his car left the driveway, Jeremy and Linda appeared in disguise, able to fool the press and the working staff who barely had eyes on everyone trying to clean off the mess. Jeremy led the way to the office and, as promised, Maggie left it unlocked, and the drops of blood had been wiped clean. Linda hastened to the location of the safe, and disabled the lock using the security device Jackie gave her while Jeremy stood guard at the door, peeping for someone who might be looking suspicious. However, time soon passed and he began to worry,
"Are you getting anything...we are running out of time. Just take pictures of everything, we will sieve through the information when we get back..."
She nodded enthusiastically, "Great idea!", she took a picture of every pile of documents. When she was done, she put them back and disabled the device, locking the safe again, but something suddenly caught her eye under Tony's desk.
She lowered her head in curiosity, fiddling the mat, "Babe, why would your uncle have a mat under the desk when the entire office doesn't have a single carpet?", she reached her hand to remove it and underneath was another safe, "Did you know that Tony had two safes??", she asked in surprise
Jeremy was just as astonished, "What?? No...let me see??", he rushed to where she was while she went to keep watch, "Hmm, 6-digit pin?", he typed in Victoria's birthday, and it unlocked at first try and his stomach coiled in disgust.
But his eye suddenly lit up and a smile appeared as he searched through the documents. Coupled with the information from the USB, his smile only grew bigger, "Linda...this is it! We got him!", he exclaimed as he transferred the data.
While they were fixated on raiding Tony's office, a message from Jackie came through warning them of another round of commotion that suddenly broke out at the lobby, "You need to get out right now! Tony is back!! And he's running towards you. He returned too early - did you touch something else?
"Crap! The mechanical safe! It must have an alarm trigger...", Jeremy panicked, putting everything back to its place. He hastily handed his phone to her, "Take this and leave through the door we spoke about!". His face was pale in fear. If possible, he would've teleported her out of that office, "Please run as fast as you can...I will meet up with you in 15 minutes"
"Okay...I will wait for you..", she ran off in a different direction, thankfully her outfit was made for sports.
Just then Maggie appeared, "Quickly, we have to go to the meeting room! He's not that far behind me..."
Indeed, Tonny arrived at his office shortly after Maggie, "Find whoever this is! Search the entire hotel, they can't be far, I have business with my nephew.", he told some of the guards while taking two with him. To say he was angry would be an understatement. One thing was clear, that one person was responsible for his problems, 'I knew my gut was right!',
With the murderous aura and flaring fury, he burst through the room where Jeremy and Maggie were pretending to wrap up their business, he chuckled, "It's lovely to see you still kept your promise despite the mess created by your fiancé", he sneered coldly as he took a seat next to Maggie, both of them facing him
Jeremy's face darkened in shock, and he tossed his eyes to see Maggie covered in guilt, "What lies have you told my uncl-".
Following Tony's soft nod, a cold needle pierced through Jeremy's neck and in a split second, he was drifting into darkness and lost control of his body.
Maggie sprang up in fear and panic upon seeing his unconscious body, "b-but you didn't say anything about killing him- you said it would just be a meeting? Why did you kill hi-"
"Relax...loverboy is not dead. But there's been a change of plan -", he stood up, "and I won't be needing you anymore. With him, I will be able to catch that snotty girl.", he turned to his guard, " Take him to the car, we will use the basement exit. With him on my side, that girl must not see daylight", he gnarled.
