Farewell

Avery Miller pondered with her head down, leading Jack Morgan to believe she was intimidated.

He puffed out his chest and smirked, certain of his upper hand with such a young girl.

He thought capturing her would be a walk in the park.

Soon, a van pulled up, and Emily Davis was carefully escorted out, looking fragile.

Jack Morgan raised an eyebrow at Avery, "See, I didn't lie. I brought her to you, treated her like royalty. I won't even charge you for her stay. Now, can you hand over the money?"

Avery eyed the money bag in her hand, amused at their naivety. She hadn't thought twice before withdrawing the cash, carrying it so obviously.

Jack Morgan, despite his muscular entourage, hadn't made a move to simply snatch it away.

Were they honorable or just foolish?
