"I'm worried you might find it hard to adjust," he admitted, running out of topics to continue their conversation.

 

"I'm doing great, really happy," she beamed at him, her soft and beautiful face like a poison he couldn't resist drawing nearer to.

 

Avery Miller turned her face, neatly avoiding his advancing kiss.

 

"I'm so tired from today, where are we planning to go tomorrow?" Avery stretched lazily, unsure if her fatigue was due to a lack of recent exercise or something else, but she had been feeling unusually tired after minimal activity.

 

"What? Avery, what's wrong with you? We haven't been out that long and you're already tired. Can you keep up?" Sarah Wilson, ever the loudmouth, managed to draw everyone's attention with just a few words. 

 

Now, many eyes were curiously on them.

 

Embarrassed, Avery looked towards the crowd's periphery, where a shadowy figure seemed to stand motionless.
