Aiden Montgomery, the Unwanted Suitor

After Margaret Anderson ordered their meals, the manager and waiter finally left them to their privacy.

Throughout dinner, Ethan Montgomery's expression was noticeably tense, a detail Avery Miller couldn't help but pick up on.

The atmosphere in the private dining room grew stiflingly quiet and uncomfortable.

Avery found herself awkwardly focusing on her fish, trying to ignore the palpable tension.

Unexpectedly, Ethan's mother turned to her with a warm smile, breaking the silence. "What's your name, dear? I don't believe Ethan has ever mentioned you."

Avery's heart skipped a beat at the question. After all, she was just his contractual wife and this was her first encounter with his family. It wasn't her place to expect him to speak of her.
