"Force? Not cherish? Avery Miller, do you have no conscience at all? You know what I've done for you these past days..."

He looked down at her, a thousand words swirling in his eyes, but he found himself unable to voice them.

"For me? What have you done for me? Fell seriously ill? Jumped into a river? Or when you knew I was nearly gone, you stabbed me without a second thought?"

She smiled faintly, "Oh, you, a young master who grew up with a silver spoon, surrounded by followers, adored by women, who can turn the sky and the sea with the wave of your hand, a man standing atop a mountain of gold—what could you possibly do for me!"

She paused, and though he said nothing, a flood of words clogged her heart, and she decided to let them all out, to feel a bit better.
