"Ethan, you…" Mr. Yamada finally caught up with Derek Mason, who stood frozen at Ms. Miller's door, eyes wide with shock. Mr. Yamada could almost picture the scandalous scene unfolding inside. Could it be… his Ms. Miller, with another?

"Ethan, you bastard!" Mr. Yamada charged too quickly to stop himself and crashed directly into Derek Mason's back. The impact shifted Derek's center of gravity, sending them both crashing through the doorway, body against body, leg against leg. Mr. Yamada's nose smacked into the back of Derek's head.

The three inside turned their heads in stunned silence, speechless at the sight. Blood began to trickle from Mr. Yamada's nose; as he looked up, the blood dripped down from the bridge of his nose to his lips, spilling over and dropping onto Derek Mason's head.
