Avery Miller was lost in her own fantastical musings, questioning how a man like Mr. Yamada could ever strike a woman—an idea completely absurd and against all reason. What was she even thinking about all day!

Shaking her head, Avery dismissed these unrealistic scenarios from her mind, refocusing on the reality of the moment.
