Annihilation Technique

Gyarados screamed as its carapace shattered and its innards fried slowing down its regenerative ability. The twins suddenly stopped their onslaught and backed away just as a bolt of lightning, bigger than any they could produce themselves, descended from the sky and struck down the broken Gyarados causing it to cry out in intense pain.

"Good timing Mom!" Sylvia said as Silendiana descended into their midst. "There is another one", the military and observers said as they watched on. "Well done, both of you", Silendiana said as she patted both her children on their heads.

"It's still taking too long", Sylvester argued. "Yeah! This creature is very resilient. Its regenerative ability is amazing. We've been striking faster than it could heal but we're still nowhere near putting it down", Sylvia said. "Very well then, let's use 'Genesis'. It can wipe out the monster instantly", Silendiana suggested.

"Isn't that a forbidden technique due to its destructive capability?" Sylvia asked. "It is. But since it requires all three of us to perform it at your current levels, there is no danger. This situation provides the perfect opportunity for you to experience the technique for yourselves", Silendiana explained.

"Right, then we best get it into an open space first", Sylvester suggested. "The school field", Sylvia said pointing. "Let's go!" Sylvester shouted as they flew towards the field with the damaged and enraged Gyarados chasing after them screeching and firing his thorns continuously; missing every shot.

Sylvester teleported ahead to clear out all the observers who were still hanging around the stadium while Silendiana and Sylvia continued to bait Gyarados into following them with attacks that served to irritate the already bloodthirsty monster.

They succeeded in luring the monster to the center of the field. Silendiana then snapped her fingers and numerous lightning chains popped out of the ground and trapped Gyarados, completely sealing its movement and paralyzing it.

Gyarados roared as he struggled, trying to free itself. The twins and their mother then hovered above the monster at three designated points; forming a triangle as their lightning God modes flared in intensity.

"What are they going to do?" the students asked each other. Delgato, being the superhero fan boy that he was, had an inkling of what was about to happen and took cover immediately. "Dude, what are you doing?" another student asked him. "That looks like a finishing move. We'd best take cover", Delgato said holding down his head as the three lightning coated individuals spread their arms.

"Triskelion!!" Silendiana shouted and the pieces of the triskelion embedded in each of their chests glowed and beams shot out of them connecting to each other and forming a golden triangle in the sky; gradually forming a giant pentagram above the monster.

"What in God's name is that?!" the chief of police shouted as they stared at the giant pentagram above the monster. "That's not all sir, look up", his subordinate alerted and they all looked up to the sky.

Severely dense thunderclouds suddenly appeared in the sky and coagulated above the stadium, blocking out the sun. The lightning generated in the clouds began shooting out chaotically in the sky.

The lightning bolts going out of control in the sky were suddenly pulled and converged unto the pentagram above the monster; growing denser and denser.

Deep in the center of the planets core, a large white sphere floated silently. It was devoid of any impurities or imperfection inside or out. The contents of the sphere seemed to churn but still kept a serene outlook.

There was a sudden tremor as electrical vibrations washed through the Earth's core, causing a small chip to suddenly appear in the previously perfect sphere. The chip in the sphere allowed a thin strand of the content to be released; though it was barely of any consequence.

Once the lightning converging unto the pentagram had reached the limit of the twins' current capacity, Silendiana gave the signal and together, the three lightning wielders shouted, "ANNHILATION TECHNIQUE: GENESIS- THUNDER PALACE!!"

Upon the activation of the technique, all the accumulated lightning shot down from the pentagram as a single dense beam of light unto Gyarados. The bunker as well as the entire section of the city shook violently as the lightning beam made impact.

"I told you to take cover", Delgato shouted as the students panicked due to the shaking. They complied immediately and mimicked Delgato's position on the ground.

Gyarados screeched loudly in pain as its body was gradually incinerated; slowly turning to ash.

After the technique ended and the light beam disappeared, the clouds dispersed allowing the sun to shine on the battle field. The final battle ground had nothing left but a large charred crater.

Everyone just stood dumbfounded at what they had just witnessed. "That was crazy. What kind of power was that? They are no different than walking nukes" the military commander commented. "I believe that was more akin to the work of gods", the police chief relied as he stared at all the destruction caused in the monster's wake.

Silendiana dropped into the crater and picked up the only burnt piece of Gyarados that survived complete incineration. "I better have Lisia analyze this. It will be bad if more pop out of nowhere", she said and placed it in a plastic tube. She then turned and waved goodbye to the twins as lightning struck and she disappeared.

"I can't believe it. My best friend has this kind of power. It's so amazing", Delgato said to himself as he tried to suppress a smile.

Emergency response teams quickly took to the streets to care for of all the victims of the monster's rampage, giving first priority to the worst injuries. The students and teachers were released from the bunkers when the coast was finally clear.

"Dude, you guys are superheroes; that's amazing", Delgato said as the twins returned to the roof where he met them. "Del, you have to promise not to tell anyone", Sylvester demanded. "Why? This is big news. You will be famous", Delgato argued.

"We are not doing this to be popular. Besides, you of all people should know of the whole 'secret identity' mambo-jumbo; being the superhero fanatic that you are", Sylvester argued. "Fine, I guess you are right. I promise to keep my mouth shut", Delgato succumbed. "Thank you. Though, if you do break your promise, I'll have to kill you", Sylvester said with a threatening look. "Scary!!" Delgato reacted and the two friends burst into laughter. "Huh! Boys", Sylvia said as the three friends walked home from school together.

"Where do you think that monster came from?" Silendiana asked someone over the phone as she flew over the city. "I pulled up an old file from fifty years ago from the government's archives; code named, 'Gyarados'. It seems the government sanctioned the creation of a bio weapon to boost their military strength but the plan backfired and the monster went berserk, slaughtering a lot of people".

"It escaped into the lake and was never seen again", the voice on the other side of the call reported. "I hope that was the only one", Silendiana asked concerned. "Yes, it was. The lab was destroyed and all the research data was lost", the voice assured. "Very well, all's well that ends well. I have a sample that I'll let Lisia analyze. I'll shoot you the data after the analysis", she informed.

"Very good, thanks. By the way, I'll be meeting my own creation very soon. I think you are the right person to train him. His power is immense and he must learn to control it as soon as possible. He is a dragon after all; a creature with the potential to be a thousand times more dangerous than Gyarados. Besides, training with the twins will benefit all three of them", the voice said. "Of course, I'll be expecting you both. Talk to you soon, Dr. Michealson", she said and hung up.

"That's the whole story of how we beat Gyarados", Sylvester said as he ended his recollection. "That was entertaining. I hope we get to have more fun soon", Samuel said. "Let's enjoy this break as much as we can. Our next training is for sure going to be brutal", Sylvia said and they all agreed.
