it starts off good but i am currently on chapter 18 and half the chapters are just authors notes without a clear way to distinguish between chapter and authors notes

The book is interesting, but there is one huge disadvantage, I would even say gigantic! The total number of chapters can be safely divided into 3, since there is no story in them. There are inserts from the author that are half a chapter or an entire chapter long, and there are reviews that are completely uninteresting. What infuriates me the most is not even that, it infuriates me that it is impossible to immerse myself in the most high-quality story by the way. The eternal interruptions of the narrative that you can't miss, you always need to look for where the garbage ends and the chapter itself begins, it killed the book, killed the whole thrill of reading.
