Remember IV

935 ate quietly as the soldier blood soiled the floor, he heard someone curse out from the other side of the door followed by tones and the sound of the door unlocking. The door creaked open but stopped as it hit the soldier's corpse.

Soon someone forced the door open, shifting the soldier's body from they entrance. Two soldiers walked in, they heard a thud as something hit the ground, immediately they held their guns and pointed it at 935 who was too busy eating to even look their way.

He used his hand to scoop his food and eat it, he could taste his own blood off his fingers but he didn't care, he had already gotten used to the taste. A soldier watched him while the other looked behind the door to see the head of the dead soldier staring at him with wide eyes.

Hesitantly the soldier took a step back, bumping into the other soldier. The looked back at 935, a sack was brought and they dumped the soldier's head inside it. 935 stood up and immediately they pointed his guns at him.

"Step back!!" the first soldier ordered, 935 could feel his fear as the soldier addressed him. Tension filled the air as 935 stared at them, he took a step forward, stopping just in front of the dead soldiers pool of blood.

The soldier watched him dip his hand into the pool of blood and stick it inside his mouth, this disgusted them, instead of picking up the soldiers body and putting it in the sack along with his head, they quickly dragged the body out of the room, leaving a trail of blood as the left.

935 watched the door shut and them lock it, he went back to his corner and sat down, his body was still regenerating, so he sat waiting to heal completely.

"It tastes the same" 935 muttered.

"What tastes the same?" Entity asked.

"Blood" 935 responded "It tastes the same so why do they treat me different?" he asked no one but himself. The room fell silent, darkness engulfed him. He sat there with no one to talk to but the voice in his head.

The following month Cross continued experimenting on 935, from electricity to fighting rabid animal. They injected him with different diseases and viruses but he'd not die, not knowing that when they sent him back to his room he'd bleed himself out till all the toxins they put in him was drained out of his body. This in its own nearly ended him, but for some reason his body wouldn't quit, he'd lose consciousness and wake up.

The meals grew lesser and lesser, not too much to give him energy but enough for him to heal himself and stop him from dying.

Sometimes he'd be able to work back to his room, other times he'd be carried back or dragged, from sawing off his limbs, removing an organ, to trying different killing methods on him, nothing was an exception to Cross.

There even came a time where he was made to drink poison, yet that didn't end him. He'd go back to his room, either bleed out or vomit the contaminated organs. If he's lucky Cross would order them removed from him. But luck had never been on his side so that only ever happened rarely.

Pain became his new friend, he was accustomed to the feeling far too well. They tried to break his will but they couldn't.

Every time 935 tried to escape he would be punished, either his limbs will be cut off until he is too weak regenerate them.

Sometimes he is assaulted by bullets, or they put explosives inside his mouth and his head explodes.

They invented different methods to punish him with every attempted escape.

But not once did he ever scream, Entity had taught him to train his mind and not to show fear in the face of his enemies. He got tired of begging and swore that when his time came he'd make them all beg and bleed.

935 bided his time and waited. He almost had an entire map plotted in his head of the facility. All he was waiting for was for an opportunity.

In the darkness of his room, 935 sat quietly with his eyes close. He was using something he had learned the hard way and with help of Entity he molded it well to his advantage.

In his case the phrase 'the walls have ears' gave him an advantage. Just like he could control the tray that ended that soldier, he used the walls as his primary source of information. The wall were made of metal, he had been trying it for months but could only reach a certain point.

He wasn't capable of grasping the feel of the entire facility in his mind through the walls. Entity told him with much practice and time he will get there. So for now he used what he had, to the best of his abilities.

He could see two scientist walking down the hall, not so far from him, although he couldn't hear them, that didn't mean he could read their lip since he could see them through the metal.

"Are you sure about this?" the first scientist asked. "We've never done it before" she added.

The second scientist looked at the other and said "Those were Cross' orders, besides if it can regenerate its organs why not its heart"

"What if it doesn't make it" the first scientist asked the other.

The second scientist sighed, "Then we'll just make another" the scientist said.

935 had a frown on his face as he opened his eyes, his green eyes still had a slight glow to them, even in the dark "Entity" he called out and the voice responded.

"Yes..."

"What will happen if they remove my heart?" 935 asked as he glared at the door, he could feel as the two soldiers were making their way towards his room.

"We both know the answer to that" Entity replied curtly and remained silent.

The two scientist were joined by two soldiers, they opened the door and the two soldiers got in. They rushed to him and injected him in the neck. 935 fell to the side unable to move.

They carried him and took him to the lab. The soldier laid him on the table and left the room. The first scientist put on a glove and picked up a scalpel, the moment she cut out the front of his cloth and placed the scalpel on his skin 935 opened his eyes and spat out blood on her face.
