chapter 89 Dumbledore plan and scam

Finally finding her shoes, Luna smiled like a child—well, she was a child. Sasuke, hearing the system's congratulations for completing his mission, showed no expression.

Sending Luna back to her room, Sasuke continued walking. For some reason, he had a nagging feeling that something big was about to happen. Making his way back to his room, he tried to shake off the uneasy sensation.

Just as he reached his room, he noticed a small, enchanted bird flying towards him. Sasuke quickly caught the bird. It transformed into a piece of parchment in his hand.

"Sasuke, come to my office immediately"—Dumbledore.

He turned and headed straight for Dumbledore's office. The gargoyle guarding the entrance leapt aside at his approach, and he ascended the spiral staircase.

Entering the office, Sasuke found not only Dumbledore but also Professor McGonagall, who looked particularly grim. She was dressed in a nightgown, clearly having been summoned abruptly.

"Sasuke, thank you for coming so quickly," Dumbledore greeted him, his eyes twinkling with urgency.

Professor McGonagall, her hair slightly disheveled, crossed her arms and looked at Dumbledore with concern. "Albus, what was so urgent you called us in the middle of the night?"

Dumbledore nodded solemnly. "I have received credible information that Voldemort is preparing to attack."

The news of Voldemort's attack blew away all her sleepiness. Her eyes widened. "Wait, an attack? But shouldn't—" Minerva stopped mid-sentence, her mind struggling to comprehend.

"Minerva," Dumbledore replied, "you need to fortify our defenses and prepare the students. I have notified the Order of the Phoenix."

McGonagall, still looking concerned but now more determined, said, "What about the Ministry? What are they going to do?"

Dumbledore sighed. "They have already taken control of the ministry. It was so quick that nobody realized it."

As McGonagall left the office to prepare and inform all the teachers, she was determined to do everything in her power to protect the school and its inhabitants.

Sasuke took a seat, shutting down in the chair, looking at Dumbledore. One by one, he started to recount all the events—from giving away the healing potion to being invited as a combat professor. Originally, he didn't plan to participate in fighting Voldemort, but somehow he not only participated but also helped Dumbledore destroy a Horcrux.

The ironic thing was that he never confirmed with Lucius if he had given the ring or the diary. If the diary was what helped Voldemort, why would he send a second Horcrux?

He understood most of the plan, which also caused resentment to grow. He began to investigate once again, as it was clear that he was being used.

Dumbledore, watching Sasuke's changing expressions and emotions, sighed. He guessed sooner or later he would be exposed, but this was too early.

Especially when Voldemort was gathering all his followers. To minimize the impact, he started speaking.

"Do you know that when I first saw you during the Sorting Ceremony, I had a feeling I was witnessing something very terrible? Later on, the Sorting Hat confirmed you have a very evil and sinister energy inside you. You avoided any direct trouble, but trouble started to observe you more closely—your interest in getting girls or offering help in exchange for them becoming your girlfriend."

Sasuke's eyes narrowed. "Get to the point, Dumbledore."

Dumbledore paused a little before speaking the next line. "The time you were offering a healing potion to the Greengrass girl, I heard a prophecy. It said, 'There is a boy whose eyes can avoid death and the tragedy of others.' At first, I didn't understand, but later on, when you threatened a previous professor, one of the portraits informed me about your peculiar eyes. After hearing this, I did many things, even saved the Philosopher's Stone instead of destroying it, then got the ring, and tested your strength. Then, after hearing about your warning from the Weasleys, I prepared for another test. Since this involved Ginny's life, I prepared some backup in case you failed. But could I say I was lucky? Then I invited you so I could let you find a way to destroy Voldemort with minimal cost."

Sasuke's attempt to control his resentment, because he understood that if he killed Dumbledore, he would have to take care of the mess left by him. This wasn't a betrayal since they were never in any type of alliance, but he wasn't planning to join this game.

Standing up from the chair, he looked at Dumbledore for one last time. "I hope you enjoy your game," he said, then left the principal's office filled with resentment.

Walking down the corridors, he created a few clones and sent them to pick up all his girls, making up his mind to never come back. Even if there was a mission to rescue Hogwarts, he wouldn't do that.

Going to the magic club, he entered the room, taking out his wand. With a simple flick, both doors opened, and all the stuff like books, sofas, chairs, and test dummies started to walk and come near him. Sasuke, looking at them, started to put everything inside the system space.

As he finally packed up everything in the club room, his clones brought out some of his belongings from his room.
