FROM BULLY TO HERO
"I said now", I told Yasidee as I rushed toward him and grabbed his neck.
"Yes, yes release… release them", Yasidee told his guards who untied the prisoners.
The prisoners tried to leave when I stopped them.
"There's unfinished business here", I told them.
"What do you want? Let us go please", they pleaded with me.
"You haven't had your revenge on the scum who hurt you", I told them as I tore off Yasidee's clothes.
Yasidee's guards rushed over to help their master when I stopped them with a conjuration.
"Flaming Starfire"
Each of my conjured flash was equivalent to peak-leveled Earth Tiered spell. The conjuration was enough to throw all Yasidee's guards to the ground and prevent them from saving their master.
"Since when can you conjure magic?" Yasidee questioned me angrily.
"Do you think I am defenseless?" Yasidee shouted to me as a forceful wind released him from my grasp.
Suddenly, someone appeared before Yasidee and bowed to him.
"What are your orders, master?" he asked Yasidee.
"Kill that wretched Oriese", Yasidee screamed out furiously.
"Suffer death", the templar guard shouted to me before he cast a powerful conjuration toward me.
A wave of conjured water rolled towards me, attempting to engulf me in its embrace. This was a powerful magic that few Earth tiered templars could resist.
"What are we going to do now?" Saye asked me.
"I can wipe this wave of water away with a wave of my hand", I told her.
"But you are going OOC again, and you reveal in public your secrets", she reminded me.
"Damn", I said to her.
Yasidee's guards' water engulfed me completely while the only thing I did was push Saye away from harm.
"I am going to kill you today", Yasidee screamed at me.
"This water is nothing. My father bought me powerful magic armor. Do you think your cheap slave can kill me?" I replied to him with a question.
"Kill him now", Yasidee told his templar guard who increased the intensity of his magic, but I couldn't be broken by him.
"I can't break the magical field around him", the templar guard replied to Yasidee.
Suddenly, I broke free from the water prison and dashed toward Yasidee, grabbing his neck again.
"I'll save you", Yasidee's guard screamed to us and rushed toward us.
But suddenly, standing before us were my new guards. After the revenge fest in the city, Orol hired stronger templar guards to protect me secretly. They conjured a powerful shield that stopped Yasidee's guards.
"Do you think you are the only one in this city who can afford to hire guards?" I asked Yasidee.
"Release me now", Yasidee screamed at me.
Then I turned to those boys who were bullied by Yasidee.
"Now, take your revenge on this bastard", I told those aggrieved who were too shocked to respond to my call.
Then one of them took a leap of faith to trust my honor and landed a punch at Yasidee.
"Arggghhhh"
Yasidee screamed as I held on to his neck while those that he bullied had their revenge on him.
After they vented their anger on Yasidee I released him and said, "Good you are now even. If you want to bully them, again be prepared to be punched in the face next time", I told Yasidee who quickly ran back to his guards and left.
"You will regret this", Yasidee screamed at me as he left.
"You are a real show off", Saye said to me as Yasidee and his guards left.
"I'm a real Showman", I replied to her.
"There will be consequences for showing off", Saye said to me.
"Yes, you are right. Now I'll have to cover my tracks", I replied to her.
"How are you covering your tracks? You've just conjured magic that is beyond Mars tier, the spies of the Church are everywhere. What if they tie this to your secret affinity?" Saye asked me.
"We are going to the Auction. There are many artifacts that are at Mars tier and beyond that could be bought at a reasonable price", I replied to her.
"You are trying to explain your recent increase in magic and strength to artifacts?" she asked me.
"Yes, wealth is a talent that the Church will not deem as deviant", I replied to her.
As I was about to leave the market the entire market rose to give me applause.
"Praises to the new Oriese", the people in the city shouted out to me.
That was my little adventure from a Bully to a Hero in Staari city.
-----
"Oriese, you didn't tell me you are coming to the auction?" Orol asked me.
"I came to buy some magic artifacts for protection", I replied to him.
"There is no need to buy them, we have many equipment at home, just go to the vault to take your pick", Orol told me.
"There may be something that I like from here", I told him.
"Sure, suit yourself, Hagar bid for the young master the artifacts that he wants", Orol told Hagar.
"Actually, I'll prefer doing the bidding myself", I replied to him.
"Good, good, it is good to experience bidding yourself. It trains your business acumen", he told me.
Suddenly, an item came up that was suitable for me.
"Item No. 854321, Amulet of Shields. This magic amulet will cast a protective shield around the body of the esteemed templar, able to absorb harm up to the peak of Mars tier before breaking," the auctioneer told us.
"That is the one", I said to them.
"The artifact starts at 10,0000 Aurs", the auctioneer announced the start of bidding.
"11,000 aurs" "12,000" "15,000 aurs"…
"Son, arent you bidding for the amulet?" Orol asked me.
"Not just yet", I replied to him.
"35,000 Aurs… going once, going twice"
"50,000 Aurs", I raised my paddle and bid.
"Who is that boy bidding?" the people in the auction asked.
"He is the scion of the Kaleon family, the useless bully", someone replied.
"What is he doing here, raising the price for no reason", another added.
"This bully is making artifacts unaffordable for the rest of us, who are less wealthy", another protested.
"51,000 Aurs", someone else shouted out suddenly.
It was Yasidee Ermane who bid from the opposing VIP box.
"Isn't that your classmate, Yasidee?" Orol asked me.
"Oriese, do you think you are the only one who can afford magical items in this city?" Yasidee shouted to me from the other box.
"100,000 aurs", I raised the paddle and bid.
"Are you serious young master? This artifact is not worth this much even if you custom made it", Hagar asked me.
"I have a plan. The artifact is just to enable that plan", I replied to him as he and Orol listened and watched my next move curiously.
"Oriese, why must you compete with me for everything?" Yasidee screamed to me.
"You raised the bid on me first", I replied to him.
"110,000 Aurs", Yasidee raised the bid again.
"150,000 Aurs", I raised the paddle and bid again.
"Oriese!!!" Yasidee screamed at me.
Yasidee was about to bid again but a hand stopped him. He was an older man who sat beside Yasidee.
"That is Lord Yenen, the patriarch of the Ermane family", Hagar said to me.
"Yes, Yasidee's father", I replied to him.
"150,000 Aurs…going once…going twice….sold to the Kaleon family", the auctioneer announced my winning bid.
"What is your plan, son?" Orol asked me.
"Didn't you tell me that the other trading houses are reluctant to sell to us grains and necessities after we bought a lot from them?" I asked him.
"Yes, the other trading houses find our move strange, so they are cautious and would wait to find out more about our recent trading strategy", Hagar told me on behalf of my father.
"Now, we give them a reason", I replied to him.
"What reason?" Orol asked me.
"You will see", I replied to him.
"Oriese, you will not win against me this time", Yasidee shouted to me again as he was bidding for another artifact.
"60,000 Aurs, going once…going twice"
"150,000 Aurs", I raised the paddle and bid to the surprise of the entire auction house.
"Is he crazy? Does he have so much money to waste in auction just to scorn at the other scion?" the crowd asked among themselves.
"My father let me take over our Trading House. I can do whatever I want and buy whatever I feel like it. Even if its not worth it, I couldn't care less, I am rich", I shouted back to Yasidee making sure everyone in the auction heard about it.
"This crazy scion of the Kaleon family took over the family business? It must be a disaster for the Kaleon family", the crowd asked among themselves.
"Do you think you can buy everything in Staari city?" Yasidee screamed to me and asked.
"Last time there was this Trogdol merchant who said I cannot afford to buy some cheap grains. I'll show him that I will buy every drop of grain in the whole of Starri city", I told Yasidee loudly so that everyone in the auction heard about it.
