MY WORDS CAN KILL

MY WORDS CAN KILL

"There is a greater stratum to this power which you can command when faced with superior beings. That will require a sacrifice from you if you wish to draw on this power", Dark robe explained to Ivior.

"What sacrifice should I offer?" Ivior asked again.

"It depends on your needs. The greater the power that you call forth the greater the sacrifice will be needed", Dark robe told him.

Ivior thought about the deal and considered the alternatives.

He needs to make sure he wasn't being tricked by the Shadow Conjurers into something that he would regret later. The Shadow sect was known to lie and trick their victims.

"How strong is the giant that I will summon without the need of sacrifice from me?" Ivior asked the Dark robe.

"The giant you may summon shall be able to defeat even the Lord Knights of the Order of Cross with ease. None of the other contestants could defeat the giant, once summoned easily", Dark robe told him.

Ivior thought about the deal again.

There wasn't anyone in the Conjurer Inheritance Competition who were strong enough to defeat the summoned giant.

"Yes, I understand. Master, please grant me this immense power", Ivior pleaded with Dark robe.

"As long as I don't use the higher stratum of this power, I don't need to sacrifice anything", Ivior told himself with shrewd calculation.

"As you wish", the Dark Robe told Ivior.

"I will win this Conjurer Inheritance Competition for the shadow conjurers. I promise", Ivior told the Dark Robe.

[Back to the arena of the Conjurer Inheritance Contest]

Conjurer Ivior's blood painted a gruesome scene upon the arena's floor, a grim offering in the name of unknown magic.

As the crimson fluid pooled and spread, intricate patterns unfurled, weaving a sinister tapestry across the ground. Above, the once-clear sky darkened, shrouded by the ominous clouds that materialized from the sacrifice.

From within the dark cloud, grotesque appendages and claws slithered forth, eliciting gasps of horror from the spectators in the arena.

Even the seasoned conjurers of the Conjurer Court scrambled to erect protective barriers against the encroaching dark magic.

Ivior, driven by his pact with the Dark Realm, sacrificed himself to the ritual's demands.

Yet, as the shadowy claws formed from the billowing clouds descended, it was not me that they sought to capture, but Ivior himself.

"No, not me, you fool," Ivior might have protested, but he couldn't complain with words anymore.

Ignoring his futile cries, the malevolent clouds seized Ivior, hoisting him aloft into the expanse above. He was the chosen sacrifice, offered up to the hungry maw of the Dark Realm.

"No, this is not what I agreed to", Ivior protested with his inaudible cry.

With Ivior's ascent, the once-innocent blood patterns in the arena began to pulsate with an eerie glow, casting the surroundings in a misty, crimson hue.

From the depths of the now-illuminated mist, shadowy figures emerged, their forms twisted and malevolent.

Armed with weapons of devastation – axes capable of cleaving mountains, spears that could shatter fortifications, and hammers forged to sunder magical defenses – these shadowy entities harbored nefarious designs.

Through the portal forged by Conjurer Ivior's ultimate sacrifice, they descended upon the Conjurer Court, intent on sowing chaos and destruction in their wake.

"I guess the contest is over", Ratatouille said to me as he appeared on my shoulder as a sparrow.

"This is an unexpected win. I haven't even flexed my muscles yet", I replied to him.

My battle with Ivior was prematurely ended by Ivior's sacrifice which ended his own life. I won the battle without much fighting.

"You got him killed by your insults", Ratatouille told me.

"I am the real Bully. My words alone can kill", I replied to him who sneered at my boast.

"How did these shadow conjurers summon themselves here?" Ratatouille asked me.

"They created a magic portal", I replied to him.

"How is that possible? The Conjurer Court will prevent a magic portal in here", he asked.

"This portal is created with dark magic sacrifice, it is probably the only magic potent enough that could summon a portal here, using Ivior's life as the sacrifice", I replied to him.

"That idiot. Why did he lose his life for the Shadow Conjurers just like that? It doesn't seem like his usual self to do such a thing", he said to me.

"Maybe he was tricked", I replied to him.

-----

The Red Robe asked me to taunt and torture Ivior during the Inheritance Competition, but I must not kill him. Killing him was the only restriction on how I should torture the conjurer.

There must be a reason for that which has become clear now.

The Shadow Conjurers wanted me to taunt Ivior bad enough, so he would willingly make a sacrifice. However, Ivior's intended and promised sacrifice did not materialize.

Instead, a magic portal was summoned into the Conjurer Court.

I finally understood the Shadow Conjurers' plan.

They weren't aiming to obtain the Conjurer Inheritance that the conjurers of the Conjurer Court believed they would. They joined the contest for a specific purpose- to create a magic portal to enter the Conjurer Court.

Right from the beginning, the shadow conjurers have targeted Conjurer Ivior as their scam target. He was a shady character and greedy and deserving to be scammed.

The most important of his qualities to the shadows was his failure in the Conjurer Court. To regain all that he lost, Ivior would partner with the Shadow Conjurers to obtain strength and power and was willing to sacrifice.

Strength and power, Ivior obtained from the Shadow Conjurers. They gave him a special cursed magic that could summon a powerful giant to aid him.

Unknown to Ivior, there was another stratum to the magic that he obtained from the Shadow Conjurers. If he sacrifices himself to the magic, he will create a magic portal into the Conjurer Court instead of gaining power to defeat his enemy.

The task that Red Robe gave to me wasn't to kill Ivior. It was to force Ivior to use his desperate move, to willingly sacrifice himself to his cursed magic in order to defeat me.
