LOST IN THE RIFT BETWEEN SPACE

LOST IN THE RIFT BETWEEN SPACE

Soon, we had unwittingly trespassed into a mystical corridor bridging the realms of worlds.

In a blink, the vortex transformed into a dazzling spectacle of ethereal luminescence that engulfed our vessel, pressing upon us with its formidable strength. We found ourselves hurtling through this magical conduit, our ship serving as a conduit for our passage into another realm.

But then, to our astonishment, our ship began to shudder violently.

"What is happening?" I asked Rinna.

"There is an open rift in space. The magic of the Mages of Prolis is not perfected yet. Using this vessel is risky", Rinna told me.

"Damnit, we should have gone through the Gate of Elis instead of going to the short-cut here", Sara complained to us.

The vortex winds outside churned with unparalleled ferocity. Despite the valiant efforts of the Mage of Prolis, her spells struggled to quell the chaos raging outside, threatening to throw us off course.

-----

"What is happening here?" I asked Strega.

"This has never happened before. We are experiencing some space turbulence", Strega told me.

Suddenly, parts of the whale ship broke as many people were sucked out of the ship to our horror. These people would be lost forever in the corridors between realms.

"What are we going to do now?" I asked Strega.

"I don't know", Strega replied to me worriedly too.

"Come over here, Strega", Mage Nargar told Strega, and she immediately went to her.

"What the hell are we going to do here?" Sara asked Rinna.

"I don't know. I've never been into a magical corridor like this", she replied to us.

Suddenly, more parts of the whale ship were destroyed.

"We would be lost in this magical corridor or be thrown into unknown and hostile existences", Rinna told us worriedly.

Suddenly, we witnessed a magical sphere encompassing the Mage of Prolis and Strega. Before the ship broke down completely, the Mage of Prolis was getting out of the ship.

"Damnit, are those bitches leaving us here like this?" Sara asked us.

"It seems to be so. We must help ourselves", I replied to them.

"We inside the Hell Tank", Sara told me.

"What about me?" I asked her.

"You have the magic of the Dark Angel, you won't die here", Sara replied to me.

By this time the whale ship was completely destroyed by the space turbulence.

I quickly sent Rinna and Sara into our Hell Tank inside my space ring. They could survive in there for some time until I found a way out of this magic corridor.

I was now lost inside the turbulence of the magic corridor.

Powerful forces in this realm tore through my body, trying to rip me apart. Fortunately for me, I had the Dark Angel's skin protecting me, for some time.

However, the violence in this realm was enormous that even my Dark Angel Skin could not protect me for very long.

"Damnit, I am not going to die in here, am I?" I asked myself as my body was being torn apart by the magic of this realm.

When I was almost out of hope, my mind was transported to another place.

-------

I reached an endless space that was filled by mysterious objects of different and multi dimensions. These objects sensed my approach and coalesced into the shape of a being, an animal.

A cat.

"Baste, is that you? Are you helping me again?" I asked the constellation of billions of shining multi-dimensional objects before me that was formed in the shape of the cat goddess, Baste.

I was transported into the Valhalla realm and Baste and the Goddess of Valhalla was here to receive me.

In my previous life, I became the prophet of the Valhalla and Baste is my patron god and guardian.

The Valhalla gods were masters of inter-world travels, and I wasn't surprised that Baste could come to save me. I was extremely lucky that she did.

"Yes, Incarnate, we meet again", Baste said to me.

"Thanks to the Valhalla gods that you are here to save me. I haven't seen you for so long I thought you forgot about me", I told Baste.

The last time I met Baste was in the alien Ragusa mothership where Sara obtained the Hexagon device. Baste often appears to me to help me in times of need although I haven't seen her for quite some time.

"The gods of Valhalla prevented me from reaching out to you, so I couldn't help you much", Baste told me disappointedly.

The Valhalla gods believed in non-interference in human matters. Even if there were calamities that destroyed the world, they would not involve themselves in it.

However, for some reason, Baste made exceptions for me on various occasions.

"Did the gods allow you to contact me now?" I asked her.

"No, I am still prohibited to aid you in your endeavors but by fate you came to me", she replied to me.

"I came to you? I don't understand", I asked.

"You entered a rift in the space time of the Valhalla. You reached me instead of the other way", she replied to me.

"That is fortunate …erm… not really fortunate because we are lost in nowhere", I told her.

"Your fate surprised even me. I will never expect, of all the possibilities, you will end up here in this corridor between worlds and get lost in it", Baste told me.

"Can you get me out of here?" I asked her.

"I cannot interfere directly with your affairs. I've been warned by the other gods against interference in human lives again", Baste told me.

"Can you at least tell me how to use the Ziggurat inside my Valhalla Crux at least. Maybe that will bring me out of here", I asked her.

"Even the Ziggurat cannot bring you out of this place", Baste told me to my disappointment and shock.

In my previous adventures, I've earned the blessings of the Valhalla gods who gave a magical space inside of me that could harbor sacred relics of Valhalla. Among those relics was the Ziggurat.

The Ziggurat could help me cast magic portals or Stargates to other worlds.

"How can I go back then? If you appeared before me, you must have a way for me?" I asked her.
