{Galloway Forest Park, May 4th 2000}
I rummaged through the leaves and bushes, lightly looking at my compass from time to time. I continued walking through the forest at a steady pace, finally my sight caught onto something, an eight foo tall deer and enormous horns and an intense yellow and orange aura surrounding it.
I rushed at the deer at my top speed, summoned my tendrils and sent them towards the deer. The hind seemed to notice as it raised its head as it was grazing, looked at the approaching tendrils and ran in the opposite direction.
I used my tendrils extending them for as long as I could, one of my tendrils grabbed the hind's back leg, before I could pull the deer towards me the deer started vibrating, my tendril locking around its angle seemed to be if no effect as the hind escaped from the locking shadowy tendril.
"Oh come on!" I yelled as I saw the deer phasing through my tendrils, I sent my tendrils towards a tree, then slung myself towards the deer's escaping form.

Thalia POV
"Come on quick." I yelled at Annabeth, Luke and Grover a satyr who had joined us a few weeks back. "They are getting closer!" I said once again the intensifying of roars and rustling of the leaves from pursuing monsters getting closer.
'Seriously Luke why did you keep picking fights with monsters." I couldn't help but think as I looked at the blonde boy who had unintentionally put us in this position.
All for of us continued running into the Long Island woods we were getting closer to camp we were going to make it, "Aaghh!" A sudden yelp sounded behind me as I looked back and saw Annabeth holding her ankle she seemed to have tripped and sprained her ankle.
I turned back hurrying to her side, and helped her up, Luke rushed at us helping Annabeth up. Grover stood before us slightly nervous as he stammered "Come on, we need to hurry."
The noises of the approaching monsters grew even louder, and so I decided to do something which Ai would probably regret. Grover, Annabeth on Luke's back and I kept running but we were slowling down.
I took a deep breath and said with the little courage I could muster "Go on ahead I will hold them back." "No! We aren't leaving you behind!" Luke yelled back at me. "None of us are going to make it otherwise!" I yelled at him, while we ran through the woods.
"Grover take them to camp I can count on you right?" I asked the juvenile satyr at my side, "Y-Y-Yess!" Grover replied back. "Then go!" I finished yelling as Luke, Annabeth on Luke's back and Grover continued running I turned back to face the monsters unstrapping my spear and transforming my bracelet into my shield.
Soon a huge pack of hellhound started appearing from the trees as three of Hades' furies flew above me.
"Alecto the unceasing, Tisiphone the avenging murder , and Megaera the grudging. Why are coming after me?" I questioned the three servants of Hades.
"Sadly child you are paying for something which your father did." Tisiphone replied with a saddened face.
"Well isn't that great." I sighed as I summoned lightning from the sky, my spear imbued with electricity. "If I am paying for something my dad did at least I am taking you down with me." I said with a ferocious grin.
"You small child, you really believe you are getting out of here." Alecto said in an amusing voice. "I guess we'll see." I said to the flying furies. "We shall." The three furies replied in unison as the pack of hellhounds before me attacked.
I sent a bolt of lightning towards one of the hellhound, it hit and burst into golden dust.
Two more hellhound lunged at me as I raised my shield, their bodies, claws and fangs trying to hit me behind the shield, I used my spear going through the two hellhound's heads, bursting into golden dust.
The remaining hellhounds circled me their growling making a cacophony of sounds as the furies just flew above me looking at me as if I were inferior.
I stood my ground, the electric current from my spear crackling in the charged air. "You think you can intimidate me?" I spat at the furies, my voice laced with venom. "I'm Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus, and I won't go down without a fight!"
The hellhounds snarled, their eyes glowing like embers in the dark. I could feel the fury's gaze upon me, heavy with the weight of judgment. "Your father's actions have consequences, Thalia," Megaera hissed, her voice echoing through the trees.
I laughed bitterly. "Then let's see if he's watching!" With a fierce cry, I unleashed a bolt of lightning, striking Alecto square in the chest. She fell, a charred figure, the bursting into golden dust sending her back to Tartarus.
But the hellhounds were relentless. One leaped, its fangs bared, aiming for my throat. I sidestepped, driving my spear through its heart.
It vanished in a puff of golden dust, but not before another sank its teeth into my leg. Pain exploded through me, and I stumbled, my shield clattering to the ground.
Tisiphone swooped down, her face a mask of sorrowful duty. "The price must be paid," she intoned.
Before I could react because of the pain from the hellhound's bite, her arm thrust through my torso. Agony ripped through me, and I felt my strength waning.
My vision started to darken and as I tried speaking my final words only blood came out.
So in my last moments of consciousness I started to think, about my journey, Annabeth, Luke, my mother, my father and if he even cared about me even now.
Then a face popped up with black shoulder length black hair, white pupils and a fudgy smile, I thought to myself 'Sorry Ozzy, I guess you won't be able to win our bet after all.'
My vision dimmed, and the sounds of the forest faded, yet I continued to see his face as clearly as ever. I felt myself slipping away, the grip of the fury's arm through my chest and the pain of the hellhound's bite releasing me.
In my last moments, I smiled at all the fond memories I had gained, then tears streaming down my face at the thought of everything I had missed and would miss.
My eyes started to close and before unconsciousness fully claimed me I saw a lighting descend and strike me, charring all the hellhounds and furies surrounding me.
[Greek Mythos fact: Today's fact will be about the furies.
THE ERINYES (Furies) were three goddesses of vengeance and retribution who punished men for crimes against the natural order. They were particularly concerned with homicide, the breaking of oaths, unfilial conduct, offenses against the gods, and perjury. A victim seeking justice could call down the curse of the Erinys upon the criminal. The most powerful of these was the curse of the parent upon the child--for the Erinyes were born of just such a crime, being sprung from the blood of Ouranos (Uranus), when he was castrated by his son Kronos (Cronus).
The wrath of the Erinyes manifested itself in a number of ways. The most severe of these was the tormenting madness inflicted upon a patricide or matricide. Murderers might suffer illness or disease; and a nation harbouring such a criminal, could suffer dearth, and with it hunger and disease. The wrath of the Erinyes could only be placated with the rite ritual purification and the completion of some task assigned for atonement.
The goddesses were also servants of Haides and Persephone in the underworld where they oversaw the torture of criminals consigned to the Dungeons of the Damned.]
