Doctor Rut selects Lux and a few others to witness secretive experiments, plunging Lux, a brilliant student with dreams of a promising future, into a nightmare. Determined to unravel the truth behind his switch, Lux vows to make those responsible pay.

Later on, assigned to solve a murder case, Lux, now known as a professional detective, teams up with Chloe, another sharp-minded detective.

As they follow leads, they uncover a sinister plot orchestrated by a powerful organization that has the potential to change the world. Along with the organization's threat, Lux and Chloe are in a race against time to deal with personal and business problems.

With danger coming from every direction, Lux and Chloe have to deal with the fact that the real villain may be closer than they thought. 

Will they uncover the truth in time to save themselves and stop the organization's plans?

He thought for a moment that he could maybe even buy a house. He could move out of this shitty apartment.

It was hard not to think about that.

His mind drifted to Chloe. When he last saw Chloe, she was preparing for her assignment on the Allen Case. It wasn't that serious, but the fact that it was also her first mission made it very serious.

Something bad must have happened.

Lux stood up. His stomach growled loudly. He walked over to the fridge and grabbed some yogurt. After eating breakfast, he took a shower. Then put on fresh clothes. He combed his hair and tied it into a ponytail.

After getting dressed, he opened a drawer and pulled out his gun. It contained only one bullet. He checked the chamber and reloaded the clip.

He loaded the clip into the gun. He checked for safety.
