Chapter 83

Amelia's eyelashes fluttered rapidly as she parted them open. The pain in her head was so unbearable. It felt as if her hair were being pulled out forcefully.

Her expression broke into a frown, and she rubbed her palm on her head thoughtfully. Everything that happened last night revisited her memory.

The memory sucked air from her nerves. She would have sworn she wouldn't make it out alive last night. Her body trembled.

She looked around the room and her frown disappeared when she saw Cullen lying on the couch, fast asleep.

Her lashes fluttered with confusion, and she slowly parted her like in surprise. He was not comfortable on the couch. What stopped him from lying on the bed with her?
