Chaoter 23

"Do you want children?" Jun inquired, setting down his chopsticks and gazing intently at Yang. Zhao Yang looked at him, unsure of what he was thinking. There were times when Li Jun was easy to decipher, but there were other instances when he was completely inscrutable. Yang rose from his seat and settled himself on Li Jun's lap, locking eyes with him.

"I do want children of our own, but I don't think it's possible without involving a third party," Yang honestly confessed. He desired to have children, but he was reluctant to bring others into the process. Upon hearing his response, Li Jun beamed and planted a gentle kiss on Yang's cheek.

"Wait until our wedding night. I have a big surprise in store for you."

Two weeks had passed since that day, and now it was their wedding day. The wedding celebrations were conducted on a grand scale, as befitting the marriage of the Emperor of a Kingdom. Zhao Yang stood before the mirror, admiring himself in a red wedding robe. His mother had assisted in making it. He couldn't quite explain why, but he was overwhelmed with emotions, and when his mother entered the room, he broke down in tears.

"Silly boy, if you cry like this, people will think you were forced into this marriage," Wang Rou said, attempting to soothe Yang's emotions. Her words had the desired effect, as he ceased crying and regained his composure.

"I'm sorry, I don't know why I'm crying," Yang truthfully admitted. Perhaps it was the overwhelming emotions of getting married or the realization that he now had a loving family who cared and supported him, unlike his own. Yang composed himself, reminding himself that this was a joyous occasion and he should only shed tears of happiness.

Li Jun, accompanied by his entourage, arrived to escort Zhao Yang to the palace. Li Jun was mounted on a magnificent white horse, with a resplendent red and golden carriage trailing behind. The carriage was adorned with beautiful decorations, befitting the Emperor's husband. Yang and his family eagerly awaited Li Jun's arrival outside the mansion. Yang wore a delicate red veil atop his head and could see Li Jun dismounting the horse and approaching him.

Yang's heart raced, and he mentally recited various medicinal herbs to calm himself. However, as Li Jun came closer, he felt his legs becoming weak. If it weren't for his father and older brother discreetly supporting him, he would have stumbled on his wedding day in front of the thousands of spectators.

Li Jun smirked, observing Yang's nervous demeanor. In his mind, all he could think about was tearing off Yang's clothes and making love to him. Yang could sense Li Jun's intense gaze and knew exactly what he was thinking. He couldn't help but roll his eyes, thinking, "Can this man be any more immature?" To capture Li Jun's attention, Yang coughed lightly.

Li Jun snapped out of his thoughts and extended his hand for Yang to take. Yang gently placed his hand in Li Jun's, and Li Jun guided him towards the specially crafted carriage. Yang settled into the comfortable seat and looked back at his family, who were all smiling. If outsiders didn't know the truth, they would assume his family was joyfully sending him off. However, that wasn't the case. They would follow him to the palace for the wedding ceremony.

Li Jun did not join Yang in the carriage, as he was busy distributing money and food to the people who had gathered to witness the procession. The blessings bestowed upon them were not just due to Li Jun's generosity but also because, from the moment the people of the Demon Kingdom learned of their impending marriage, both Yang's family mansion and the palace were overflowing with gifts for the couple. Many individuals came to offer their blessings for their future together.

The carriage made its slow progress to the palace, with people constantly stopping it to bestow their blessings or presents. The journey took nearly two hours, as the carriage moved at a snail's pace. Once inside the side hall, a monk facilitated the union of the two lovebirds. Li Jun and Zhao Yang bowed to their parents, the heavens, and each other, marking the conclusion of the wedding ceremony. While everyone else proceeded to the main hall to celebrate, Zhao Yang was taken to the Emperor's chambers, which had been renovated to ensure his comfort. Yang didn't have to wait long for Li Jun, as he had excused himself from the festivities to stay by Yang's side.

Li Jun slowly opened to the door to his chambers after dismissing all the servants and eunuchs. There was wine on the table along with some fruits and snacks for them to eat. Li Jun slowly walked up to the bed to find Zhao Yang sitting on the edge of the bed with the red veil still on his head, which was covering his face too.

He was told by his mother that the first thing he has to do was remove the veil. He slowly walked towards Yang and stood right in front of him. Li Jun couldn't help coming to the realisation that he is married and to someone he loves, and that even if they didn't meet in that forest they would have ended up marrying anyway. As Li Jun thought about Zhao Yang, Yang on the other hand was getting impatient.

He could roughly see Li Jun standing in front of him and yet this guy hasn't even taken his veil off.

Zhao Yang gave a hard pinch on Li Jun's leg to which he winched in pain from. It was this moment he realised that he hasn't taken of the veil yet. Li Jun used both his hands to slowly lift the red veil off Yang's face. Jun felt like he couldn't breathe, he hadn't seen him in 2 weeks, but for his it was like 20 years. And for him to be finally reunited with his lovers again he felt overwhelmed.

Yang was also overjoyed to finally see Li Jun's face again. Yang leaped off the bed and into Jun's arms and showered him with kisses until one deep kiss, to which Li Jun kissed back even harder. Li Jun help with Yang with both his hands placed on his ass, to which he squeezed constantly, getting a few moans between the kisses. Jun took him to bed and gently placed him down, but never breaking the kiss. It want until Yang used his hands to gently push him did he stop.

"Sorry, I got too carried away", Li Jun as he gave small kisses around Yang's face. Yang could help but laugh at the way he was acting. "I cant believe were married", Yang said on the verge of tear. In his previous life, he didn't even have a lover much less getting married. This life here though, not only did have a lover and get married he also had a loving family too. Something he never got before.
