Chapter 32

Inside his room, Ming Chen already knew that his father will most likely ask his grandfather about him, but he didn't care because he had already planned in his mind to leave the Ming mansion and live on his own. 

All he had to do now was look for a place to live in and find a job that wasn't connected to the Ming family. This was the only way for him to live without his stepmother being scared that he might get everything after his grandfathers dead. 

Speaking of his grandfather's dead, as much as he wants him to live, there was nothing can could as his grandfather died of natural causes. He would make sure to spend as much time as he can with his grandfather, so that he wont regret it like he did in his first life.

Ming Chen got up from his bed and sat down on his desk and logged into his computer. He was looking for jobs that paid well as well as being far away from the Ming mansion. He didn't want to be near these people as much as they didn't want him here. Of course, he had to also buy himself a car so that he can visit him grandfather regularly. 

As he was looking for jobs, he heard a knock on the door, he panicked and shut his computer off. He sat in his seat trying to compose himself before going ahead and opening the door. Once the door was open, he saw that his two younger brothers. 

When he was the old Ming Chen, whenever these two showed him the slightest affection he would feel over the moon and completely forget about his father's neglect, but now looking at them knowing the type of intentions that they are harbouring, he couldn't help but look at them with disgust.

 Of course, he didn't saw his disgust on his face and kept that feeling inside his heart. There was no way he was going to let them know that he knew about their real feeling and that he knows what they are up to. He smiled at them and welcomed them inside his room. 

"To think my cute little didi's would come to see me, aww I feel honoured", Ming Chen said sarcastically but in a less obvious way, hearing what he was saying to two boys looked at one another, before nodding and looking back at Ming Chen. 

"Gege Chen when did you wake up? Why didn't you tell us?" Ming Yun the older of the twins asked him, speaking in a very rude way towards him. Ming Chen didn't notice it back then but even when he was the old Ming Chen, they had always spoken to him like that. 'They always spoke rudely to me, and I didn't notice because I loved them so much', thought Ming Chen to himself. 

"Watch the way you speak Ming Yun, I'm your older brother, not your classmate", Ming Chen said as he walked towards his bed and opened the top draw from his nightstand to find his phone. It had been a long time since he had used his phone. He had saw it when he had woken up but couldn't be bothered to turn it on and use it. 

As he was focused on the phone and had his back turned to the twin, he didn't notice the flicker of hatred flashing in the eyes of the two. 

"Gege, we didn't mean to be rude, but this is just the way he speaks. Please don't be angry", Ming Yuan said trying to get on the good side of Ming Chen. Hearing this Ming Chen couldn't help but laugh inside his heart. To think these people are the same people who had beaten him with a bat without showing him any mercy as well as leaving him in burning building. Ming Chen really couldn't help but laugh.

"Hahaha, I'm just joking with you both, no reason to get all defensive. Ah as for when I woke up, I think this afternoon when grandpa come to see me", Ming Chen said while looking at them before putting his focus back to his phone. He was looking through his contact list to see that he had his older cousin Ming Yi saved.

He deleted everyone's contact number only leaving his grandfathers and uncle Gu's. he had had also kept his third uncles' family number. His third uncle kept a distance from the Ming mansion and lived in their own place. Although they lived far, they never treated him coldly, nor did they be overly nice. He somehow trusted them maybe because his third uncle disliked his father and second uncle for the way they act. 

Finding out what they needed to find out the twin's excused themselves and left Ming Chen's room. Ming Chen didn't show much reaction as they were leaving nor when they told him to rest well. However, the moment they were gone he hurried back to his computer and turned it back on. 

He had been searing the entire night and he finally found everything he needed for his survival. First, he was able to find a job at a paediatric hospital. He didn't know if it was because they were in dire need of a doctor or the fact that he was THE Ming Chen, who was able to finish his doctorates degree within 2 years and finish a 5-year training course within 1 or maybe because he was the favoured grandson of the Ming family, but for ever reason it was he didn't care. 

He was more than happy that they accepted him to work at the hospital, he could now have a stable income that wasn't from the Ming family. The second one being an apartment, it was a really nice apartment in an upper-class area, one that was close to his workplace. That just made it a lot easier for him. He had contacted the owner and the owner had quickly replied back and said that he had have the place. Thought it was suspicious that he got the place despite over thousands of people bidding for that place, but he didn't care and paid for the down payment. The money obviously comes from his own card. 

The money came from all the competitions he had won as well as the scholarships we had received. The only thing he wasn't able to get was a car. However, this didn't dampen his mood, as he was able to sort out the basic things he needed. All that was left now was for him to pack all his clothes and tell his grandfather. Thanks to the night, Ming Chen was able to pack all his clothes, shoes and other necessities. 

He got his belongings and was ready to leave but when he opened the door of his room, he saw his grandfather and uncle Gu standing right in front of him.
