Back to School

It was May 2nd and it was Yuna's first day going back to school for the first time in eleven years since she disappeared from home due to her quirk activation. She was accepted into U.A. High School and was going to be in Class 1-C. The trimester had already started a month ago so it was going to be a bit awkward. Yuna was nervous to start school again. She brushed her hair in the bathroom then went back to her bedroom and put on her new uniform and looked in the mirror on her closet door.

"Huh, looks pretty good on me I guess." Yuna thought out loud as she turned around to get a different view of herself at another angle. Then she went to the kitchen to make herself some breakfast. After she ate, she brushed her teeth and grabbed her light blue backpack. She left her apartment and knocked on Izuku's door so they could go to school together. He answered, wearing a yellow backpack and dressed in his U.A. uniform which was identical to Yuna's except for pants instead of a skirt. Izuku couldn't help but stare at Yuna for a moment.

"You look really great in that uniform Yuna." Izuku complimented Yuna as she blushed.

"Thanks Izuku. You do too. I haven't seen you in your uniform before." Yuna said with a light blush on her face as they started heading out to school together.

"Heheh, yeah I guess you haven't, have you?" Izuku said, grinning as he scratched the back of his head. An awkward silence followed as they walked to the train station.

"So about yesterday... are we... boyfriend and girlfriend now?" Yuna asked Izuku who immediately blushed. He paused before answering her.

"Only if you want us to be." Izuku responded as Yuna thought for a moment.

"But what about Natsu and Asta? What if they actually like me back?" Yuna said as they arrived at the train station. Another awkward silence followed until their train arrived and they boarded it.

"Izuku..." Yuna said, seemingly trailing off like she was hesitant to say something. Izuku looked at her curiously.

"W-would you be okay with me dating you, Natsu, and Asta? I-I mean only if they like me back and all." Yuna said quietly like she was afraid to ask. Before Izuku even had a chance to answer her, she spoke again.

"Never mind, I'm being too selfish. There's no way you'd agree to that." Yuna said, lowering her head. Izuku sighed as he placed his hand on her back and rubbed it comfortingly. He didn't exactly want to share Yuna with other guys, but he hated the idea of losing her to someone else even more. He wanted to be sensitive to her feelings and not come off as selfish himself.

"I'd rather share you than lose you Yuna. And I wouldn't ever want my selfishness to get in the way of your happiness. If being with me and the others makes you happiest, then I'd willingly oblige." Izuku said truthfully.

"You'd do that for me?" Yuna asked Izuku who nodded his head. She was surprised at how considerate he was. He was so sweet, it made her heart feel like it was swelling up inside.

"You know, you don't have to. But I really appreciate it. Thank you Izuku." Yuna said as she smiled at him. She felt so lucky to have someone so considerate like Izuku in her life.

"I just want you to be the happiest you can be. And I'll do anything in my power to ensure that." Izuku said as he grabbed her hand and laced his fingers with hers. Yuna leaned her head against his shoulder until they reached their stop. Yuna and Izuku got off the train and walked to U.A. High.

"So which class are you in Yuna?" Izuku asked her.

"Oh yeah, I guess I haven't told you yet, huh. I'm in Class 1-C. I wish I could be in the hero course, but my quirk would be pretty useless out on the field. Think about it, when I use my quirk, I disappear off to a different world entirely. And it's only one way too. I had to rely on my magic to travel to another world and only once it was strong enough to do so." Yuna said.

"Can you transport people or objects with those abilities?" Izuku asked Yuna as she looked at him curiously.

"Hmm I guess I can. I mean, I did bring my grimoire back with me. What are you getting at exactly?" Yuna asked him.

"I don't think your quirk is useless. You could bring back powerful allies or special equipment back to our world to help with the situation at hand." Izuku brought up as Yuna thought about it for a moment.

"I suppose I could do that, assuming I could get back. I ended up in Hage Village when I left Magnolia because my Dimensional Dragon's Wormhole spell failed to get me home. And it might have been a fluke that I ended up back home with my Door of Fate spell." Yuna said.

"Hmm, it could be that your dimensional dragon slaying magic just wasn't strong enough to get you home. Like maybe our universe was further away from the Fiore Kingdom's universe than the Clover Kingdom's universe. And at your current level, you couldn't reach our universe. And perhaps the Clover Kingdom's universe is within range of the spell that got you home. Or maybe it works like your normal Fallen Angel Gate spell where you can travel anywhere you've been before but with a much greater range. Or maybe it was a matter of chance and you ended up in Hage Village. Oh sorry, I'm doing it again. I have a habit of going on mumbling rants sometimes. It often annoys or creeps people out." Izuku said as Yuna chuckled.

"Don't worry about it. I don't find it annoying or creepy. It's kinda cute actually." Yuna said as Izuku looked at her with confusion a while blushing a little.

"Really?" Izuku said, seeming surprised.

"Really. But that aside, maybe you're right about my magic. Also, I should probably ask my parents about how their quirks work exactly since mine seems to be a combination of the two: the teleportation characteristic of my father's quirk and the dimensional-like aspect of my mother's quirk. Maybe I could get some better insight on how my quirk works." Yuna said as Izuku nodded.

"Sounds like a good idea." Izuku said as they reached Yuna's classroom: 1-C. It was 7:58 AM, and class started in two minutes.

"Well, wish me luck." Yuna said as Izuku chuckled.

"Good luck on your first day. I'll see you at lunch time. Meet me at the cafeteria entrance." Izuku said.

"Yeah, see you later Izuku." Yuna said as she went into the classroom and he went on to go to his class: 1-A. Yuna sat at the front of the classroom on the end between the wall and a guy with messy purple hair. When the bell rang, the teacher stood up from his desk and walked to the board.

"We have a new student that will be joining us from now on. Please come up and introduce yourself Miss Sakai." The teacher said as Yuna stood up from her seat and walked up to the front of the classroom beside the teacher.

"Hello, my name is Yuna Sakai. This is my first day back to school in eleven years since my disappearance due to my quirk's activation. I hope we can all get along." Yuna said as she bowed her head and the classroom started to fill with whispers.

"Thank you Miss Sakai. You may go back to your seat now." The teacher said as he gestured politely towards her seat. Yuna went back to her desk and sat down as the teacher started the first lesson: language arts.

~Time Skip~

It was 8:40 AM and language arts had just finished. It was now time for a ten minute break between lessons. The purpose of these intervals was for the students to prepare for the next subject while the teacher arrived and set up for the lesson. Many students approached Yuna during this break to ask her questions.

"So what is your quirk exactly?" A girl asked Yuna.

"My quirk is Universal Teleportation. I can teleport to other universes, but it's only one way." Yuna responded as everyone seemed fascinated by her ability.

"That kinda sucks that it's only one way, but being able to visit other universes is totally awesome." A girl said as everybody nodded in agreement.

"If your quirk is only one way, how did you get back here?" The messy purple haired guy seated next to Yuna finally spoke.

"Well I was actually stuck in the first universe I teleported to for seven years. Since my quirk didn't work in that universe, I had to learn magic that allowed me to leave that universe. Unfortunately, it sent me to a different universe where the magic I learned didn't work. So I had to polish my skills in a different magic in that universe until I was able to cast a spell that finally got me back home. I was in that universe for more than four years. I was gone for about eleven years." Yuna explained.

"That's quite interesting." The messy purple haired guy said.

"What's your quirk?" Yuna asked him. He smiled mischievously.

"It's called Brainwashing. I can make someone go into a state where they are forced to do whatever I command. All I need to do is say something and if my target verbally responds to what I say, they're under my control." He said as Yuna just looked at him alarmed because she responded to him.

"Don't worry, I didn't brainwash you. I don't put people under my control every time they respond to me. I'm Hitoshi Shinso by the way." Shinso said as Yuna sighed with relief. After Shinso's introduction, everyone else began introducing themselves until it was time for class to start.

~Time Skip~

It was 11:50 AM and the bell rang for lunch hour. So far, Yuna had language arts, social studies, mathematics, and science. Each lesson lasting forty minutes with ten minute intervals between lessons. She was ready to have lunch break, plus she was gonna see Izuku. Yuna left her homeroom classroom and headed to the cafeteria. She waited at the entrance of the cafeteria for Izuku as he told her to do. She saw him approaching with two other people, a guy and a girl. The guy was tall and had short dark blue, almost black colored hair and had eyes that matched his hair. The girl had brown eyes and auburn colored hair in a bob style. Izuku spotted Yuna and ran up to her.

"Hey Yuna!" Izuku said as his two friends caught up to him.

"Hi Izuku." Yuna greeted him back as she hugged him.

"So are who are your friends?" Yuna asked Izuku.

"Oh this is Ochaco Uraraka and Tenya Iida." Izuku introduced the girl and guy beside him to Yuna.

"Uraraka, Iida, this is my next door neighbor and best friend since childhood Yuna Sakai." Izuku introduced Yuna to his friends.

"It's very nice to meet you Sakai." Iida said, reaching out his hand to Yuna who shook it politely.

"Yeah, I'm so excited to finally meet you! Deku has been talking about you a lot for the past two weeks." Uraraka said cheerfully as Yuna blushed.

"O-oh really?" Yuna stuttered, getting all flustered.

"A-anyways, let's all eat lunch together shall we?" Izuku said, stuttering and blushing from embarrassment as he tried to move on from the subject. They all entered the cafe for lunch together. As they ate, Iida asked Yuna why she wasn't at U.A. High when the trimester started. She went on to explain, starting with her quirk activation when she was four. She told Iida and Uraraka about her time in Earth-land and then Hage Village. They all listened intently to Yuna as she told them about her adventures, occasionally asking her questions here and there. Izuku had already heard her story, but he liked listening to Yuna tell it. Uraraka and Iida also shared things about themselves with Yuna. By the time lunch was over at 12:50 PM, she was pretty well acquainted with Izuku's friends.

"It was great getting to know you." Uraraka said.

"You too Uraraka and Iida. I hope we can all be really good friends." Yuna said with a smile.

"Yes, I hope so too. See you later Sakai." Iida said as he and Uraraka started heading back to classroom 1-A.

"Well, I guess I'll see you after school is over." Izuku said as he went to go catch up with his two friends, looking back and waving at Yuna as he walked away. Yuna smiled and waved back before heading to her classroom 1-C. Next up was health and physical education. Once everyone was back in the classroom, the students headed to the locker rooms to change into their gym uniforms before going outside to the track and field area. They started with running laps around the track for 3 kilometers. Because of her training with Natsu and Asta, Yuna was physically fit and finished the run first. Her classmates were really impressed with her run time. Shinso approached her after finishing the 3K run, along with all her other classmates.

"You're not gonna brainwash me are you?" Yuna asked Shinso right as he opened his mouth to speak.

"No, I promise I won't. You have my word." Shinso said as Yuna gave him a suspicious look at first.

"I wanted to ask you something. How did you do so well in the run just now?" Shinso asked Yuna. Her other classmates wanted to know the answer too.

"I trained hard with Natsu and Asta when I lived in their worlds. I didn't just work out with them. I sparred with them a lot as well so I'm pretty good at hand-to-hand combat too." Yuna said as her classmates looked at her in awe and amazement. The next activity was dodgeball. Yuna and Shinso were voted to be the captains of the teams. They took turns picking classmates to be on their sides.

"May the best team win." Shinso said while holding his hand out, his smile had a hint of deviousness behind it. Yuna just nodded and shook his hand. She wasn't about to be forced to lose the match due to his brainwashing quirk. The teacher blew the whistle and the match began. Rubber balls began to fly everywhere. This game was perfect for Yuna to demonstrated her exceptional strength and agility she gained from training with Natsu and Asta. Not very many of her classmates were able to dodge her fast traveling balls. The match went on until only Yuna and Shinso were left on the field.

"Heheh, you're pretty good. I guess you really weren't lying about training with your two friends from those other universes." Shinso said, grabbing two balls as Yuna shot him a confused and offended look.

'Why would I lie about that?' Yuna said mentally, trying to avoid verbally responding to Shinso. He threw one of the balls at Yuna who did a backflip right as it passed below her. He immediately threw the other ball at her as she landed. She ducked just in time as the ball flew past just above her head. Yuna grabbed two balls nearby as Shinso grabbed another ball and threw it at her. She threw one of the balls at the one Shinso just threw. Her ball intercepted his ball and they bounced off each other. Her classmates were amazed at her agility, reflexes, and precision. Then Yuna threw the other ball at Shinso who leaped off to the side to dodge it, but it curved and ended up hitting him in the groin. He fell to his knees, holding his crotch while hissing in pain.

"Geez, that was a rotten trick." Shinso said as Yuna and everyone else gathered around him.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to." Yuna apologized to Shinso. Suddenly her mind went all foggy. She could see what was going on, but she had no control over her own body.

"Just help me up please." Shinso said as Yuna, in a trance, helped him get to his feet. Just then, her mind was clear and she was out of her trance-like state. She shook her head to further clear it.

"Really? Brainwashing me just so you could get me to do what I was already planning on doing?" Yuna said as Shinso just shrugged.

"Hey, I didn't know you were gonna offer to help me up. I'm not a mind reader." He said with a playful smile. Yuna just looked at him with a frowning pout as she crossed her arms. And with that, Yuna's team had won the match. The bell rang for the ten minute interval before the next class which was art, the second to last class of the day. The very last class was home economics.

~Time Skip~

It was 3:30 PM and Yuna was waiting at the entrance of U.A. High for Izuku. He was again accompanied by Uraraka and Iida. The four of them walked to the train station together. Shortly after they arrived there, Yuna and Izuku said goodbye to Uraraka and Iida as they all got on their trains to go home. On the train ride home, Izuku asked Yuna about her first day back to school.

"So how did your first day at U.A. High go?" Izuku asked Yuna.

"It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Though language arts, social studies, and math are not my favorite classes. Science is okay. I excelled in health and physical education and really enjoyed art. Home economics isn't too bad either. And my classmates are pretty friendly. There's this one guy I'm a little of wary of though. His name is Hitoshi Shinso and his quirk is brainwashing. You can fall under his control if you respond to something he says, but only if he wills it. He got me after I hit him in the balls with a rubber ball during dodgeball in P.E. just to make me help him up to his feet. I was already planning on helping him get up. He didn't need to brainwash me to force me to do it. But even so, he doesn't seem like a bad guy." Yuna said as Izuku chuckled.

"I see. I'm glad it went well. So, do you think you're gonna like it at U.A. High?" Izuku asked.

"Yeah, I think I'm going to enjoy school life at U.A." Yuna responded with a smile. The train reached their stop so Yuna and Izuku got off and started walking home from the train station.

"So what's your school schedule like?" Yuna asked Izuku.

"Well it's quite different from yours. We have our core courses in the morning before lunch. Then after lunch we have hero basic training." Izuku said as Yuna looked at him with excitement.

"What kinds of things do you do in hero basic training?" Yuna asked Izuku who went on to explain everything his class did in hero basic training so far.

"Oh wow. Sounds kind of difficult, but fun too." Yuna said as Izuku chuckled.

"Yeah, it's not the easiest thing in the world. Especially since I have to work harder than everyone else due to my circumstances." Izuku pointed out.

"That just means it'll be that much more satisfying and meaningful once you become a pro hero." Yuna said enthusiastically.

"I guess you're right." Izuku said as silence followed. He could feel Yuna's vibe change from excited and cheerful to a bit sullen.

"Hey, are you okay Yuna?" Izuku asked Yuna who sighed.

"I guess I can't really hide it from you, huh. Remember when we were kids, I wanted to become a pro hero like you did?" Yuna started to say as Izuku nodded.

"Well I still want to, but I'm not really hero material with the kind of quirk I have. Sure I have above average fighting skills, strength, and agility, but that'll only go so far when going up against villains with strong quirks. And I know you said I could use my quirk to bring in strong allies or special equipment to our universe for reinforcements, but... I don't know. I guess I just want others to be able to rely solely on me rather than other people or things that I bring over." Yuna said, looking down at the ground as she walked. Izuku couldn't think of anything to say back to make her situation seem less bad from her perspective. But he could think of something they could do together that would distract her from her thoughts and feelings on the matter.

"I see. Hey, do you want to study together then afterwards maybe train with each other?" Izuku asked as a smile returned to Yuna's face.

"Sure. Let's study at my place if you don't mind." Yuna said as Izuku nodded. When they arrived at their apartments, Izuku went to his briefly to change into his workout clothes so he wouldn't have to go back to do so after they were finished studying. While Izuku was at his apartment changing, Yuna changed into her workout clothes as well. Izuku arrived shortly after and they began studying together. When they finished their homework, they went to Dagoba Municipal Beach Park to train together.

"So what did you have in mind for training Izuku?" Yuna asked Izuku.

"You used to spar with Natsu and Asta, right? How about we spar as well. I'm kind of interested in seeing how well you can fight." Izuku said, looking determined.

"Okay, but I can't heal you and Recovery Girl isn't here so don't be using your quirk yet. I'm excited for this. It's gonna be interesting." Yuna said as she and Izuku stretched then got into their positions.

"First one to pin the other one down wins. Ready? Go!" Yuna said as they charged at each other. She tried to land a punch, but Izuku dodged it and grabbed her arm and attempted to throw her down. But Yuna took advantage of the position and momentum and held onto Izuku's arm as she quickly planted her feet on the ground and pulled on his arm, lifting him up off the ground and throwing him onto the sand which stunned him.

'How did she...? I thought I had her there. It worked on Kacchan.' Izuku thought to himself as he got up, a little dazed from landing hard in the sand.

"Nice try Izuku, but you'll have to do better than that to take me down." Yuna said as she pounced on him. She grabbed his arms and pinned them down on either side of his head as she sat on top of him.

"I win." Yuna said with a smile as Izuku started to blush.

"Your face is turning red. Are you feeling okay?" Yuna asked him.

"I-I'm fine. It's just... this position is..." Izuku trailed off, only getting more flustered. Yuna felt something growing and hardening beneath her. Then she started to blush as she realized exactly where she was sitting. Yuna quickly got off of Izuku as he sat up and covered his erection with his hands, thoroughly embarrassed.

"I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean to get turned on I swear!" Izuku apologized frantically.

"It's okay. Don't worry about it Izuku. It happens." Yuna said as Izuku sighed with relief. He was glad Yuna was so understanding and not creeped out by him. Eventually, his erection receded and they continued to spar until the sun was about to set. On the way home, Yuna and Izuku talked about their sparring matches.

"I knew you trained a lot with Natsu and Asta, but wow. You're a really good fighter. And you're a lot stronger than I thought too." Izuku complimented Yuna as they walked home from Dagoba Municipal Beach Park.

"Thanks Izuku. You're pretty strong yourself. I'm impressed." Yuna said, complimenting him back.

"Well I had to be in order to receive All Might's quirk. But even so, my body still can't handle its power when I use it." Izuku said as Yuna clapped him on the back.

"Don't worry, you'll be able to handle it someday. Just keep training hard." Yuna said with a smile as she draped her arm over Izuku's shoulder. When they got to their apartments, they said goodbye to each other and went their separate ways for the night.
