"Sorry," I looked on the ground and muttered, "It is just so hard to believe that we are dating, I get so emotional sometimes."
Edythe smiled and reached for my head, before she started messing my hair up, "There, there honey, the only bad feature about you, is that you can't stop talking sometimes."
A few more tears broke down from my face again and I looked at Edythe with a smile on my face that caused my eyes to close, "There is nothing I would change about you."
"..." Edythe's face had a little shed of pink, making her look even prettier, as she turned away to avoid my gaze, "Humpf, you-you-you don't even know a thing about me."
I know, even your darkest secret is engraved in my head.
"Then I wish to get to know you better, Edythe Hall."
The young girl blushed even more and just looked at the ground, as she gave her back to me, but I could tell she was smiling judging by how her ears were shaking.
I stood beside Edythe, "Do you want to go to the station together?"
"Su-sure thing Joe."
I looked at Rachelle and Sean who were staring at us, to avoid looking at each other, "Should we leave those two? They look to be getting along well."
Edythe finally stopped blushing and looked at the two people of almost similar height, "Ohh, They make a perfect couple together, we should make them go on a double date with us."
Date!? What do you even do on dates!? Isn't this moving way too fast!? No, it is okay Joe, just search on the internet.
"Sure," I said while blushing, "Shouldn't we go on a date together first?"
"That's right!" Edythe smiled in my direction, "Since tomorrow is a Saturday, let's go on a date tomorrow."
I quickly nodded making my girlfriend ask, "Where do you want to go?"
"Central Park."
"I love Central Park!" seeing Edythe's happy face made my heart dance in joy, "Let's exchange contacts."
We quickly exchanged contacts and walked towards our two friends. The moment we arrived, Rachelle shot a death glare at me, as she frowned her brows, "I assume you are dating this nerd now Edythe."
My girlfriend nodded and the pink haired girl clicked her tongue, before she turned around, "Sean walk me home."
"W-wha-what?" The four eye's had a flustered look all over his face.
"You don't expect a pretty girl like me to go home alone, do You?"
Hearing Rachelle's cold words Sean just nodded his head which was sweating all over, as he followed her in total silence.
"Those two are perfect together." Edythe's said with her usually sunny expression and I just nodded, as it was something destined to happen in the near future.
We moved to the subway and for the first time in my life, I wanted a mugger to come rushing at me; so I would beat him up and appear like a hero in Edythe's eyes.
I ran out of things to say and ended up asking her what she had for dinner last night, it was so embarrassing to the point I wanted to dig a hole and hide myself there.
On the train, I started rumbling on and on about trains non-stop, even the passengers gave me weird glances. After that I didn't talk at all and just stared at my girlfriend who was playing a certain game about a girl being chased by the police on the subway.
I am such a dock! Talk about a nightmare!
"This is my stop." Edythe stood up from her seat and looked at me who was still seated, "Can you walk me home?"
"Sure." I just stood up with a gloom expression covering my whole face and walked next to Edythe.
Moving out of the subway we were greeted by a burst of people covering the streets of New York, it was only obvious since this was the time most people would be released from a jail called work.
Being a kid is nice, you don't have to worry about all that adult staff.
"Did something catch your eye Joe?" Edythe curiously asked as she saw the small smile on my face.
I wanted to tell her that she was beautiful, but I just kept it inside and did something smaller instead, "Your nails look amazing, did you do them yourself?"
"Really!?" She raised her fingers towards my face, and when I nodded, she smiled, making my heart skip a beat, "Thank you for noticing, it is the first time someone other than Rachelle complimented my nails."
"There are just jealous people, don't pay them any mind," I said as we started walking midst the crowd and other students started looking our way, since we stood out the most.
I had 5 hours of heavenly luck still working on me and my girlfriend was just beautiful, making it super hard not to stare at her.
–"Wow! Look at that couple."
–"There are so perfect together."
–"I wish, I would be reborn in the future and marry their daughter."
–"Yah! I bet their child will be super cute."
I frowned my brows as I muttered, "By this time tomorrow, they would be saying that, I am her bodyguard or henchman."
Edythe halted her steps and looked at me, "Did you say something?"
I smiled her, it was hard not to since she would make even Hitler smile, "It is the first time people actually think I am perfect for someone."
Edythe looked on the ground, as she blushed, while muttering in a voice hard enough to hear, "I think we're perfect together."
I heard that clearly, but I am just going to ask, "Did you say something?"
"Silly me," Edythe looked at the side, to avoid showing me her embarrassed face, "Thank you, I have arrived."
"Wow!" I exclaimed as Edythe never brought me to her house in my previous life, so it was really a surprise, "It is huge and nice."
It looked more like a mini mansion, that rich families could own.
Edythe walked a few feet in front, before she looked back with her hand waving at me, "See you tomorrow Joe."
"See ya." I waved back and watched her enter the gate. The moment she was out of sight, I smiled, "I have a girlfriend."
Oh!
My!
God!
I have a girlfriend people!
Hahaha! Edythe Hall agreed to go out with a Joe like me.
