Seeing Chi Zaozao with a stern face and refusing to smile, her little cheeks puffed up in anger.
Ye Que stepped forward, reached out to pinch her cheeks, and pulled them apart, "Smile for me?"
Chi Zaozao, frustrated to the point of tears by his actions, eventually couldn't help it and laughed.
While laughing, she reached out to hit him, "Annoying, why are you stretching my face?"
He stood his ground, his long arm encircling her, hugging her fragile and petite body tightly in his arms.
"You don't know, whenever you're not beside me, I'm always worried that someone will hurt you. Without seeing you, my mind is preoccupied all day."
"The reason I don't let you go out is because I'm afraid you'll be in danger."
"I came back early today, and not seeing you at home made me both anxious and angry, that's why I lost my temper with our son. I will go apologize to him in a moment."
Chi Zaozao nestled in his arms, motionless, her voice much softer than before.
