Thus, Gu Namei saw Chi Xingye, who was still pretending to be dead, being carried out of the room by two men. One was carrying her head, the other her feet. They carried her to the elevator, to the ground floor, through a small back door and outside to where a black car was parked. They then continued to lift Chi Xingye into the car, before finally freeing her from her restraints.
After the car door was closed, Chi Xingye, who had been feigning her death, finally woke up and sat upright in the car seat.
The two men, one took the driver's seat, the other the passenger's seat.
Without any hesitation, they drove off immediately.
Outside the car window, it was very dark. All they could see was the dense shadow of trees. The car drove on the uneven road for a while before it reached the main road. Still, it was deserted all around.
Chi Xingye turned her head and through the rear car window, she could still see the dimly lit building far away.
What a remote place this is!
