"..." Chenxing paused before reacting, "Isn't my birthday on June 11th?"
He snorted, "Do your damn foster parents even know your real birthday?"
She turned her head, mumbling in displeasure at Gu Shaocheng's comments about her foster parents, "They've passed away. Can't you at least show a modicum of respect?"
Gu Shaocheng shrugged, seemingly unconcerned.
The atmosphere became tense. The two probably could never agree on this matter.
Eventually, Gu Shaocheng broke the silence, attempting to lighten the mood. He looked at her tenderly and amusingly for two minutes, lifting her pajamas and saying, "Your rashes have faded quite a bit. You're looking much better."
Chenxing felt uncomfortable. She pressed her lips together, looked at her arm and suddenly, her spirits lifted, excitedly exclaiming, "They have indeed faded a lot."
