By the time Assistant Zhang Te returned to the Four Seasons Hotel, the party had already been dismissed.

He swiped his card to unlock the door to the penthouse. Once inside, the room was unusually quiet, dimly lit by just the light above the entrance. He didn't see anyone at the desk and assumed that Han Jingnian had retired for the night. He was about to silently retreat and visit again the next day, but in the dimmer light by the floor-to-ceiling windows, he saw Han Jingnian. He stood there motionless, like a statue.

"Mr. Han," Zhang Te gave up on the idea of leaving, taking two steps forward.

Han Jingnian didn't react.

As Zhang Te stopped behind Han Jingnian and spoke again, the latter glanced back at him. However, his eyes quickly moved past him, as if searching for something.

Seeing Han Jingnian's reaction, Zhang Te understood what he meant, "Mr. Han, your wife has gone home."

Han Jingnian didn't respond, his gaze moving from the door.
