After marriage—
On Valentine's Day, Han Jingnian asked, "How are we spending today?"
Wrapped up in her blanket and close to falling asleep, Xia Wan'an mumbled, "Sleep."

While Xia Wan'an was lost in thought, she heard the sound of footsteps coming from outside the dining room.


Without thinking, she quickly reached for the soup in front of her on the table and gulped down half of the bowl. After she was sure she wouldn't leave any trace, she put the bowl back on the table.


Just then, the figure of Han Jingnian appeared at the entrance to the dining room.


As Xia Wan'an turned her head to look at him, from the corner of her eye, she saw the note she had written on the table. Seeing that the ink of the words had not yet dried and was still a little noticeable, she hurriedly reached over to wipe away the oily smear. Having done that, she then tried to feign indifference as she turned to look at Han Jingnian, who had now entered the dining room, and managed to give him a calm smile, "Oh, you're back?"


Surprisingly, Han Jingnian responded with a single "mmhmm", before his gaze fell onto the table.
