Zodiac Guardian

Walking aimlessly down the street, Qi Yue suddenly felt very despondent. He had thought that he had made some friends, but after today's events, few of them could be called friends anymore. Maybe, he thought, becoming the King of the Zodiac Guardian was a mistake. Puffing one cigarette after another, he found his recent hard-working practice seemingly meaningless.


He wasn't alone long before the sudden blast of a car horn startled him. Turning his head, he saw Ji De, a man as sturdy as a mountain, getting out of his off-road vehicle.


"Master." Ji De called out, already standing in front of him.


Qi Yue looked at him and smiled. With a look of gusto, he replied, "If you're here, I'll consider you a good friend. No questions asked, come join me for a drink."


They didn't use the car, but walked down the street. Qi Yue, who had seemed lost, seemed to regain his energy.
